Sinofield Edu-Retreat

The whole concept of Sinofield is somewhat unique... being immersed in the bush accessible straight from your room is such a change from the usual hotels in built-up areas. It's also very quiet and peaceful as the layout of rooms is well-designed. The shared kitchen is a lovely touch of the Retreat's community connection.

The remoteness does mean you need a car or taxi to get there but the distances are not far to Leura, which is close by for supplies and great restaurants, etc.

the under floor heating in the bathroom and the size of the room. The whole complex is large and felt like we were the only ones there, although there were cars in the carpark, so clearly we weren’t.

the poor chickens on the property were cold and had nowhere to roost, just a bare concrete floor, so we were comfortable but the chickens weren’t. would be nice to have a cafe onsite or somewhere to grab something simple to eat, but it wasn’t far from Leura village.

The pictures here really don't do it justice. Had a great short stay with my family of four. The rooms were really well appointed with plenty of space for the kids to run amok. And hello heated bathroom floors! There was even a little courtyard that backs onto the playground. (Not that we got to use it in the cold and wet of winter!) Something to look forward to when we're back in the warmer months - which we will do!

Wish there was a bathtub, but I'm really nitpicking here!

Very quiet retreat. The staff was super helpful and even offered us (two adults and baby in pram) a ride to the station as we didn't travel by car. A little (but old) playground - not designed for our little one yet, but we'll play there one day. TABLE TENNIS!!!

Unfortunately, it is not well connected to Leura town. There is a bus which wasn't really reliable over the public holidays. Although having the room cleaned daily, we didnt have a toilet brush.

Beds were very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and accommodating The heating was excellent The floor heating in bathroom was luxuriously unexpected The koi fish pond was beautiful

The drain that has been fitted in the shower recess is inadequate and does not provide satisfactory drainage. After each shower the complementary shampoo/shower gel bottles were floating in 10cm of water

Loved our stay at Sinofield Edu-Retreat. From check in to check out was easy. Room was beautiful, so clean and comfortable. The bathroom is clean and spacious. Heating in bedroom and bathroom. Super close to everything. Highly reccommend. We will definitely be back.

Everything during our stay was great!

The room was super clean, I’ve never stayed in a place so clean before so I was so impressed. Good quality linen and super warm. Heated floor in bathroom was cool. The loft for the kids was awesome!

The bed was harder than I like (personal choice ) No microwave in room and parking was far from room.

The room and bathroom were clean and wholesome, the location was lovely, and manager Lee was friendly and cooperative. Under-floor heating in the bathroom was an unexpected bonus, and particularly welcome since the weather was cold.

We were surprised and disappointed at the lack of storage for our belongings - no wardrobe, not even a chest of drawers, just an open rail with a couple of hangers and two tiny drawers at the bottom. And, since no breakfast was available, it would have been helpful to be provided with a toaster, plates etc so we at least had the option of fending for ourselves.

The place has a great balance for being in the nature and close to the centre. It’s about 5 mins drive and 25 mins walk following the train track. The signage is very clear, lots of parking spaces. The hotel room is very clean and has good sound proof. Basically everything you expect from a good hotel service: aircon is good, hot water is fast. The hosts are amazing. They are very friendly and helpful. We need to go to the centre and it was late and hard to call a taxi, the host volunteer to drive my friend and I to the centre and saved us on a rainy day. They have great passion for culture exchange and knowledge of the area too. They made our trip! I strongly recommend the place and looking forward to more programs and activities happening in the future!

Very tranquil environment and good play area for the kids. I like that my kids get to experience some Chinese cultural and activities. Our family room is spacious and modern. Love the share kitchen. Feng and Lee are very easy going and accomodating. My boys love their painting session with Feng. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
