High tea was excellent, as was also the room. Darleys restaurant was an excellent venue with very good service.

The menu at Darleys was limited and dishes too ostentatious with emphasis on the unusual rather than eating satisfaction. There were no common or basic options available for someone wanting a quality but fulfilling meal. By contrast the in-house self serve breakfast was much the same as one would get at a 3 or 4 star hotel. An a-la-Carte option would have been appreciated. The bread was of a low quality and of few options. With the exception of the High Tea, the meals were not up to standard or value for money.

Food and experience at Darcy's. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food in the Lounge was nice, as was the breakfast in the Orangery.

We paid an extra $200 for a room with a view. There was no view due to heavy fog! When the fog did start to clear the view was largely obstructed by trees, so I would have preferred to save the $200. We had to ask for our room to be serviced, the maid came at around 5.30pm when we were getting ready for dinner. We thought the room would be serviced between 10am and 4pm, as advertised. So this wasn't very convenient. We had booked massages at the Spa a few days before our stay. When went to check we discovered we had been booked in on the wrong day, the day we were due to check out, so we missed out as we were told there were no other times available for the duration of our stay. We ended up travelling into Katoomba to get a masssage.

Wish our stay had been longer, we didn't have time to make the most of the hotel facilities. We loved the location, the room was nice and spacioius (the bed could have been a little bit more comfy). The cleanliness and the nice, fresh smell everywhere was a huge positive for me (coming from Europe we're used to higher standards which most hotels we've been to in Australia failed to meet). The indoor pool and the pool area was awesome!

The temperature in the sauna was nowhere near what it should be but that's ok :)

I loved the overall ambience of the property! It was definitely a wonderful experience, especially since we were traveling with kids. They have 3 restaurants you may choose from, they have an indoor and outdoor pool, they have a list of key locations that they are close to.

The staff could probably use a little bit more practice on hospitality. Not that they weren't nice. They were just not completely as pleasant as guests would probably want. Sort of just meh.. Breakfast could use a lot of improvements.

Comfortable and charming hotel in Katoomba. Great location near Echo Point. They kindly accommodated our request for ground floor rooms for my elderly parents and ourselves. Enjoyed the food and service at Lounge restaurant. Usually ample parking available for guests, both at open lots and underground garage (although both were full on Good Friday).

Beds are a bit old. Some small amenities such as room slippers would have been nice but not a big deal.

Breakfast was good, room was very comfortable. I do feel they could probably update the rooms a little but we knew what to expect and were happy to pay to stay here. It is a lovely cosy hotel, particularly when the weather is cooler. The close proximity to the three sisters is great.

The dinner menu did not have many vegetarian or vegan options.

The accommodation was very luxurious. Stylish decor and warm and inviting atmosphere. However there was one guy who set himself up in the Lounge area as if it was his office. He conducted business from this table all day and spoke very loudly on the phone. It was very intrusive and irritating to all the guests who just wanted a quiet afternoon drink in the lounge. They should bar mobile phones and make guests work in their very comfortable rooms that have working desks for this purpose.

Service in the lounge was slow and the waitress forgot to place our order

Everything went well. The breakfast was standard fare for a buffet, however the room was very comfortable, well appointed and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Dinner in the lounge bar was excellent and the staff looked after us well!

There was no power point in the bathroom and a small table by the armchair would have been welcome for resting a drink or cup of tea. Next time we stay at Lilianfels we will make sure it is outside school holidays. Children running around and shouting in the breakfast room while parents sat staring at telephones was not a great way to start the day.

Great Hotel & location. Staff lovely, food great. Very comfortable beds. Indoor pool great. Very big family room. Good parking.

This is our 4th visit but standards have dropped. Small tables in lounge with vases on had thick dust. Sofas in lounge reserved from 5pm so no were to sit for paying guests but not used until 8:30pm. Out for the day & on return at 3pm room not atteneded to so had to walk around for another hour. Three staff members at breakfast sign in area but no one removing dirty plates from the tables we had to keep asking.

the food is simply amazing and cannot be faulted for in room dining or if you eat at the bar or restaurant. Poolside outside is fabulous and the gardens are stunning.

I did not like using the indoor pool area, it needs a revamp and the day spa facilities are terrible. In four days of staying there the steam room and sauna were not working properly and one of the days my partner in the mens was closed. You also need to check if its available to use as which is inconvenient and they opening hours should be later than 6pm. Considering we came to relax and paid a huge amount of money I didn't like this about the accomodation.
