The staff were very friendly and willing to assist at every point, the facilities were clean and well maintained. The room was basic to be expected with this type of accommodation, but contained a fridge, comfy double bed, good sized TV and free WiFi. The bathroom was very modern and clean and the kitchen was well equipped (Plates, Cups etc. Microwave, Air Fryer, Kettle, free coffee and tea. If you are looking for budget accommodation in Orange, then this is the place.

The only thing missing was a small desk for the workers, but the bedside table served fine.

It was a convenient location in the centre of Orange, everything was easy to get to on foot. The gateway to Bathurst is only a 45 minute drive so it made things easy to get to and from Bathurst on the one road for the Repco Supercars Bathurst 1000. The restaurant downstairs is amazing and has a wide variety of great tasting food and drinks, nothing like coming back to the GWH for a cold beer after watching cars belt around Mountain Panorama. Beautiful venue with clean rooms, super soft beds, nice view of the train station and good bathrooms and kitchen. Will definitely stay again.

Not a wheelchair accessible hotel, had a lot of stairs when going to reception and the outside stairs to the rooms too from what I saw, so ask ahead if they are options to work around it 🙂

We had a brand new refurbished room so the it was all lovely and fresh. New TV, new beds, fridge and furniture. Staff were so accommodating. Close to all facilities and could eat downstairs. Location excellent, noise was minimal. Nice and warm at night.

It was not quite ready when we got there but we didn't have to wait long. We would have liked more powerpoints as there was one for the fridge and only one other. There was no bin in the room. It was close to the ladies bathroom but far from the Men's.

Owner is absolutely great and happy to help with anything. This place will be amazing when the pub is up and running in hopefully two weeks or so. Also extremely close to everything in a short walk, but not over crowded. Rooms are clean, there is parking, shared bathrooms are clean and probably have the best water pressure I've experienced in any hotel.. Including high end.

If i had to pick something it would be the bed isn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but honestly it's the best place in town for work or cheap, and quality travel stays.

The location was very central and within a walk of many places of interest in Orange. The price was very modest, but the accommodation was the best pub stay I have been in and at the cheapest price. Therefore it exceeded our expectations. I also would like to mention the staff, as the woman on duty as extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful.

Very cute, warm , cosy little room in interesting old rambling building. The bed was so comfortable, the room was small but set out very thoughtfully. Full size flat screen tv and reverse cycle aircon. Good sized window that you could open. Quiet even though it was a full house on a Friday night. Staff were lovely.

Property was clean and tidy, room was as pictured, modern and newly renovated. Bed was comfy, room was quiet. easy parking and easy walk to Main Street for a great selection of eateries. Staff were super helpful & lovely. Can’t wait to see when the downstairs opens up, looking really nice so far.

Shared bathrooms left very wet by previous users, not the owners/cleaners fault.

Very central. Clean. Good value. Clean well equipped communal kitchen and clean and well maintained toilet and shower facilities.

Perhaps the rooms could just do with some hooks etc on the walls on which to hang up coats, jackets, scarves or towels etc. Otherwise a good inexpensive place to stay the night in Orange.

The great western hotel was everything we wanted and needed for our big family Mel was the biggest help and friendly customer service support we had there on the day she made us rest early and get inside after a big drive from melbourne to orange and was making sure we know where to get to and everything is so we mostly stayed and knew mel was there to support us in every day in and out thank you Mel 🙏💗

Mel was an absolute gem, very helpful. Even though the hotel is on a main road it was so quiet in our room. The showers were nice and hot just no bench space in shower cubicle

Our double bed sagged in the middle.
