The staff here are some of the friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever met. Special thanks to Sarah who made us smile and laugh after a 24 hour journey. The hotel is nicely done and the beds are incredibly comfortable and really clean (we’ve been travelling for 6 months now and this was by far the comfiest bed we’ve had). Location is perfect - a few mins from the metro, supermarkets nearby and easy walking distance to central Sydney. There’s also a communal kitchen with a microwave and kettle.

Some things were a little run down in places, particularly the carpet. The shower also wasn’t the best - it pointed at the wall so it was difficult to use and the cubicle was tiny. It also leaked into the rest of the bathroom so the floor got quite wet. But to be honest, for the amount you’re paying for such a well located place that’s overall really nicely done, these things don’t matter.

This is a lovely boutique style hotel in pleasant Potts Point Sydney, very close to the Kings Cross train station (3 mins walk) and two supermarkets 5 mins walk. Lots of lovely cafes in the area serving brilliant coffee, I recommend Pina Cafe, Barrel One, Gypsy Espresso. The hotel is older with dated carpets but the service is brilliant, staff very friendly and helpful, and there is a laundry room and a communal kitchen facility which is excellent. Sydney CBD/Opera House/Circular Quay is about a 30 min walk through Potts Point, Woolloomooloo and the beautiful Botanic Gardens, walking right past the Art Gallery of New South Wales and Artspace if you are into art. Train from Kings Cross to the city centre is one, two or three stops depending on where you want to go, trains seemed to go every 10 mins even on weekends, and you can tap your phone to travel, you don't need the Opal card.

Squeaky floorboards - I was on the top floor so I was conscious of annoying the people below me at times.

The location is strategic, just a 5-minute walk to Kings Cross train station. It's one station away from Martin Place (city area) and two stations away from Bondi Junction, where you can travel to Bondi Beach. It's also a 20-minute walk to the NSW Art Gallery and a 30-minute walk to the Opera House. The room and bathroom were clean, and the building's interior and exterior have a historical look and are well maintained.

The soundproofing wasn't very good; I could hear people stomping above, noises from neighbors, and birds cooing at night. I didn't like the carpet's color; it looked old. The quality of the provided shampoo wasn't very good either.

I was pleased to be given a private room at the back of the building on the ground floor (as I had luggage I didn't wish to haul upstairs), the room didn't have any connecting walls to other rooms being a corner room and was therefore, private and well located. It also had windows out to the outside of the building so I had natural light and view to outside if I wished to open the blinds;

There was a bit of mildew on the floor tiles that could be cleaned better / the bathroom was very small with not a lot of shelf space to lay things out but the shower was adequate - I would have loved to have had a bathtub.

The whole stay was excellent! From the moment of checking in to the final goodbye. Location was excellent right next to the train station, thus close to all the great cafes, groceries all that. Room was tight however was super clean and the bed was so comfy. And the service from the stuff was also top notch, the lady at the front desk always had a great smile on her face, but especially Eugene, who had the nicest temper and patience to call me up on the morning to let me know that I was late for the check out but didn’t actually kinda “thrown” me out LOL so then yes I extended my stay for another night because of all of the excellence that I have mentioned above! Like seriously some other motel charges the same $$ but in no where that they can compare. If you ever come to Kings Cross and need some short stay, this is THE one to go for x

The aircon was bit loud at night but hey at least it’s working properly and has no moldy smell which is a plus

The hotel is very tastefully decorated. The location was ideal for us with a market across the road and an abundance of cafes, restaurants and bars. Transport is very easy with Kings X station nearby. The staff were always helpful. Shout out to Eugene especially. Our room faced the road and featured two windows which made for a very relaxing and lovely ambiance. Bed was comfortable.

The only downsides were the very small bathroom and the noise from the street on weekend nights. But for an old building you can’t really expect large bathrooms and the noise is to be expected given the central location.

The hotel was centrally located for the events that we planned to do during the trip. In fact it was only a 5 min walk to Hayes Theatre and Kings Cross train station, and a 20 min walk to the Australian Museum, the NSW art gallery and St Mary's Cathedral. The amenities at the hotel were very convenient, the laundry and small kitchen were an unexpected bonus. Our room, although small, was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

In the communal kitchen, sometimes the paper towels ran out and once there was a shortage of bowls. However, the other guests at the hotel did their dishes and kept it clean.

The location couldn't be better: right across the street, there's a grocery store open late, making it incredibly convenient. Plus, with King's Cross train station just a stone's throw away, and a nearby bus stop for the hop on and hop off bus, getting around is a breeze. You'll also find a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance, ensuring there's always something to explore and enjoy.

While the room size suits a small couple, it feels tight for two people, especially with the bathroom being notably cramped. There's a persistent damp smell in both areas, and the toilet requires renovation. Additionally, the shower only offers one strong setting, lacking adjustability. The noise outside the window in the morning is quite loud. Our window is afacing an alleyway and you canher people outisde fighting. However, the safety measures at night are reassuring, with locked doors accessible via the hotel key. Outside can be intimidating due to occasional disturbances (i.e. drunk people), but the lounge area provides a comfortable refuge.

I booked wanting somewhere kind of in the action but just enough away to get a good nights sleep. Mardi Gras weekend so it was always going to be huge. My room was the heritage version bit bigger and it had everything I needed for a 4 night stay, Staff amazing too such a difference and if your looking for the best and U mean the best breakfast choices Trufflles 200m away and Gypsy Espresso 400m then the amazing supermarket across the road and even had my nails done but the girls in the shop opposite

Need to have a power adaptor on the desk unit, and if Im being ultra critical the red carpet is probably at the wrong end of its life and next time buy the plush underlay makes such a difference. Comp bottle of water in the fridge would be a good idea was unable to fill my bottle from the compact sink.

Very comfortable hotel that was a short walk from Kings Cross Station. Perfectly situated for seeing shows at the Hayes Theatre. Close to a great selection of cafe and food choices in Potts Point.

At 183cm tall, the shower head in the bathroom was level with my chest. I knew the bathrooms were small from reading the reviews, so I was prepared for it, Can get a little noisy, both from outside (my room was right at the end of the building so overlooked another street) and guests inside (a large group who liked to chat in the halls rather than their rooms) - but nothing bad enough that I felt the need to tell anyone
