The hotel is in a great position a few minutes walk from the harbour bridge opera house etc. The ambience is stately distinguished discreet and quietly opulent

Unfortunately while the individual staff members were friendly and courteous the actual service was consistently poor with daily mistakes. It began with the prebooked limousine not turning up to greet us after our 9 hour flight As a result we were upgraded to a beautiful suite for our 3 night stay. However there are serious problems with the service with daily mistakes and domestic difficulty in making ourselves understood ( indeed it was easier at our hotel en route in Hong Kong ). So a potentially great hotel let down by poorly trained staff.

Room was incredibly comfortable, with wonderful view over the western harbour from the balcony. Lovely bathroom and room was also very quiet; with the bedroom door closed, it was impossible to hear any noise from the hallway. Swimming pool was also fantastic; a little on the cool side but this makes it a perfect temperature for laps. Buffet breakfast was delicious, in very relaxing surrounds. And staff were lovely; helpful and friendly in all interactions. Will definitely be visiting again!!

Beautiful small hotel with all the bells and whistles. The pool (indoor and heated) has a wonderful 'starlit' ceiling, and is fabulous in winter (it is however in need of repair/rejuvenation, tiles missing etc). The rooms are a pure delight, large and very well appointed. Everything is there and the staff were very attentive. Breakfast was much improved since last visit.

Two things were a slight disappointment. On return from a long day of walking and sightseeing at around 2.45pm, our room had not been serviced. All we wanted to do was have a quiet cup of tea and some privacy, but had to call housekeeping for a quick service and replacements of tea etc. In such a hotel this is not good enough. The trend to large shampoos/body wash etc is fine, but a small cake of real soap is 'de rigeur' in other similar hotels - we don't use body wash. Another phone call righted the situation with a small cake of lovely Diptyque soap.....

The bed was very comfortable, as was the linen and towels. Pool and spa were nice. Staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was great, a little expensive but omelette was fantastic! Location was ideal for what I needed. Close to parking also

Lack of subsidised parking. Wilson parking is suitable, but an added expense and a bit of a hike to and from the hotel. I paid for 2 breakfasts, only 1 of us ate, and then the hotel declined to credit the breakfast charge as it was through booking.com. Some of the fixtures in the room. I’m paying for luxury, all rooms should be checked for maintenance standards. If I had a tool box with me I would have fixed the door stop, drawer handles, both towel pegs and the shower door towel rail.

All the staff were incredibly professional, welcoming and polite. Breakfast buffet was fantastic as was the food service we had from the kitchen, the room service staff were also very friendly and professional. Overall, a very relaxing stay with superb facilities, would absolutely stay again. I also appreciated the use of Diptyque handsoap, lotions, shower gel etc

I found some parts (nooks and crannies - e.g. under tables and light fixtures - particularly the bathroom) of the room were a bit dusty but that's me being nit picky, overall the cleanliness was to a high standard

I loved staying at The Langham. it was my first time and I chose a King Superior with city view. such a beautiful room. I love the elegance and the femininity of this hotel. I’m not a massive fan of the contemporary, minimal style of hotel. My room had lovely furniture and art and was spotless. There is so much detail in the prepping of the room down to the iron in the wardrobe being inside it’s own bag. $700 is the most I’ve ever paid to stay in a hotel but it was a treat to myself. 💕💕💕💕💕

It would have been nice if breakfast had been included in the price.

Loved everything about our stay. We started off with a lunch buffet at kitchens on Kent - very fresh sashimi and they had a good variety of food to choose from. Wasn't w big selection but the highlight was definitely the sashimi. We got upgraded to a 1bedroom suite - the room was massive and the whole room still looked new even though it was an old building. The bed felt amazing and the tv even had some yoga videos for you to follow if you felt like it. The pool was amazing, I loved the heated spa. It just felt really serene in there. They also had a steam room in the change room and even though it was small, it felt enough. It was also quiet when we went so I had the room to myself. The staff were all wonderful and friendly as well. I didn't meet anyone that wasn't helpful and pleasant there.

Nothing really. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay.

I liked everything about the room facility and service at this hotel. Day spa facility is very nice!

We were supposed to have a city view and we were given a room with a side street view which was a little disappointing. It was one of those rooms that could join with next room and it wasn't soundproofed. A family with kids were staying next room and we could here them talking loud. Also we chose to eat at the restaurant in the hotel and had buffet but the quality of food was less than average for the price we paid.

The bed was the most comfortable bed we have stayed in. Staff were extremely good and prompt. Property was beautiful and we loved the deep bath.

We didn't like the $10 tray fee for collecting your tray a bit rough considering we are paying for the stay already. So I didn't order anything after that and went and had dinner, lunch and breakfast locally. We were surprised it was only a two storey building, it would have been great to have a view of the harbour and Sydney Opera House!

The size of the rooms are fantastic! The rooms feel like a luxurious home not a hotel which is what we wanted.

The only thing I didn’t like, are charging points on either side of the bed. They have a blue light that doesn’t switch off throughout the night. This can be frustrating for light sleepers like myself.
