The staff were great and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Despite being on the 4th floor, I was unable to hear any traffic from outside. The facilities, such as the spa and pool, were up to their usual high standard.

One or two-ply thin-as-tissue toilet paper. This is a false economy and sends the wrong message. It makes a visitor think "hmm, if they're skimping on toilet paper, what else is wrong?" It also brings unwanted comparisons to one star motels. Just reach in the pockets and provide 3-ply toilet paper. You provide excellent toiletries, scrumptious towels and wonderful showers... so why not good toilet paper?

Great location and nice bedroom and bathroom. The buffet breakfast was good, which you would expect for $45. The lady at the reception desk this morning 13th Feb was helpful and friendly.

We arrived late at night and there was nobody to help with our luggage, to get it out of the taxi or to keep the hotel door open while we carried the luggage inside. There was nothing complimentary in the room except for what felt like cheap coffee and tea. With all this, it didn't feel like a 5-star hotel for us (although they charge like one).

Plastic everywhere. No one uses plastic toiletries any more so please stop. Plastic cups for muesli etc at breakfast - not cool. Seriously please stop with the plastic.

Excellent location. Easy 5 minute walk to the ferry’s. The young men at the front door and helping with luggage were super friendly. My son loved the pool area. We stayed in a park suite which was very spacious with a nice city view. Buffet breakfast was ok. Good value for money given location.

Would have liked an option for a foam pillow as I struggle to sleep on the big fluffy hotel ones. The staff working on breakfast weren’t overly friendly and didn’t clear away your plates so table was cluttered every morning. Would have liked barista coffee to be included in the buffet price like other hotels. We had just stayed at the Sheraton and their buffet offerings were exceptional so maybe I’m being too harsh on Amora.

Exceptionally well placed for main tourist attractions and transport, buses and trains. We could get anywhere with ease. Also the MET centre was just round the corner. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, we felt “special” and they came across as sincere. The room was very clean, comfortable and airy, we also benefited from a partial view of the water. Our room was 2612. Lifts are quick and we never waited long. We made use of the pool, sauna/steam rooms which we enjoyed. Years ago we stayed at the Marriott but this time it was much better.

I cannot think of anything I didn’t like or could moan about. A great hotel, perfect to explore Sydney and beyond via Wynyard Station literally 2 minutes walk away

Absolutely everything!!! One of the best hotel I’ve stayed at smooth check in amazing amazinggggg staff I Cannot get over how great each staff customer service was which made our stay much more enjoyable they catered to everything we needed even when we were craving for butter chicken and margarita pizza 430am in the morning after a long night out ! The Breakfast OMGGGGGGG! freaking amazing! I’ve been to plenty of hotels and this is by far my absolute favourite! And super clean!!!!!!!!! And I can’t get over how fresh the hotel smelt ! We will be back !!!

Couldn’t stay longer 😭

This is a nice and well appointed hotel, close to the Rocks and Circular quay. The staff were very helpful. We arrived in the morning after a 20-hour flight from Colorado and our room was ready. We had a corner room 2409 and it was a generous size, with a lot of shelf space. Elevators were fast, we never had to wait more than a minute. Hotel is located next to the Wynyard train station with a direct connection to the airport. The room was quiet with a gorgeous city view. We stayed for 4 nights and never heard any outside noise. The bed was comfortable and we slept like babies. The bathroom was big with a shower and a tub, we used both and they functioned properly. The hotel had a good size pool, sauna and steam room. The gym was small and crowded in the morning, a nice excuse to skip exercising. Room service was impeccable. We highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is well situated, easy walking distance to office at Bangaroo and all the attractions of the harbour end of the city. Room was comfortable and well laid out, lots of space as well as wonderfully large windows with sill to sit on and take in the surrounds.

The checkout experience was frustrating. Despite queuing and being the next to be served, a male staff member came over, suggested I used the express checkout before asking if this would work for me and requested the person serving me do another task. There was no one behind me at this point so I felt I could have been served and then the other task completed. I needed to get my invoice immediately so express checkout wasn't going to work, but I tried the form before collecting my thoughts. Then I needed to queue again and explain this. I got the sense I would have been treated differently if I was a man and/or in business attire.

The Amora has the highest standard of customer service. It has luxury tempered with simplicity. As soon as we checked in, we went for a swim in the beautiful pool and felt very much restored. After that, we found the room clean, quiet, with a great view, and a lovely bathroom. The hotel is right next door to a Woolworths Metro and Priceline Pharmacy and just near the Bridge Street Light Rail stop: all of Sydney is a very short stroll away, and conveniences are nearby. This trip we especially made use of Silo Bar on the first floor for a cognac, some coffee, and reading. This is a gorgeous hotel. Every time we come, we reaffirm our desire to come back..

The elevators were undergoing soime repairs, but this is a minor gripe. We still had the time of our lives.

We had two separate rooms but were comfortable in both. We had been traveling abroad for 18 days and this was our last stay before returning home. The ability to have a restful sleep and a wonderful hot shower after a quick tour of the city was important and enjoyed. We were able to confidently leave our bags behind for a few more hours the day of our flight. Staff was great, located near tour bus, restaurants, oldest pub in Sydney and the pier for boat tours!
