I want to start with a big shout out to the housekeeping crew! The rooms are so clean - and not just a superficial tidy up, but real attention to detail. The rooms are also well maintained with everything working well - remotes, lights, fridge. This is one of my favourite places to stay in Wollongong. Access is so easy, with ample free and well-lit parking, and a station for the express train to Sydney just across the road. The accommodation is a lovely renovation of the old hotel with charming historic features retained. The rooms I’ve stayed in are spacious yet heat or cool quickly, and the beds are really comfortable. I especially appreciated the warm welcome back from Connor and his help in keeping my medication cold. I also appreciated being able to get a late nightcap after a busy day. Thanks all - we’ll see you again soon.
Nothing comes to mind

The staff could not have been better. The manager on check in was friendly and welcoming making sure that all our needs were met including dinner when they were fully booked. During the night the hot water failed. This was immediately fixed once management came on in the morning. Unfortunately we had to leave for an engagement (Illawarra bridge tournament) so we had to have cold showers! Cameron could not have handled us better appologising without question and giving us a full refund. That sort of service in adversity makes me want to go back.
The bed could have been softer.

Location was good - just out of the busy city centre. We travelled with a larger group for a wedding so didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel and surrounds but found our rooms to be very nice and comfortable and access from carpark to rooms excellent, without having to enter via the front of the hotel.
We struggled to find somewhere for our group to have a sit down breakfast the morning after the wedding. We had to go into the city centre and then struggle to find parking for us all. The hotel has a lovely bistro area and I think it would be great if breakfast was served in this area so patrons don't have to leave the hotel. Even if it was a limited menu I believe it would be well received.

Did not expect such a brand-new looking hotel, it was a pleasant surprise. Everything was nice starting from the bright and warm elevator which takes you to the second floor of a clean and comfortable hall. Electronic lock on the door, warm aircon, absolutely quiet, spacious, nicely decorated room, sparkling bathroom, large TV, tea and coffee provided. One happy and relaxed mum after long and tiresome drive.
Just missed a microwave to warm up breakfast for my little one but I knew it was not on the list.

A big comfortable bed which was split into two for mum and me. The property was clean and everything was new. The TV was huge. It was an accessible room and the bathroom had railings for mum. The hotel rooms are at the rear of the pub so you don’t really hear the noise from the pub. The pub is also lovely and the food downstairs was excellent.
The shower didn’t have a curtain or shield so water was all over the floor when you had a shower, which made the entire bathroom slippery and a bit of a safety hazard. While there was no noise from the pub, you could hear people in the hallway when they were returning at night. I imagine that could get quite loud on a Friday or Saturday night. but overall we were really happy with the property.

We booked the hotel to attend an event and were very impressed with the family room (two rooms interconnected). Staff were very helpful and the hotel rooms were exceptionally clean and of an excellent condition.
Room service for the kids while we were out at an event was difficult as the restaurant was in a licenced venue, so the kids (teenagers) could not organise dinner themselves we had to pre-order and arrange early delivery to the rooms by a staff member as a special request.

I wrote a big review for the Coni - must be on their website. It was a great stay. The room was comfy and clean, and the extra bonus of TimTams!! What more do I need to say!!! The location was perfect for my (business) needs. I didn't want to stay in the city centre this time. As others have commented, the shower was fabulous. The bed was firm - but suited me perfectly. I really can't say anything negative about my stay, and I'll definitely stay again on my future trips to W'gong.
Maybe some plain black tea bags - the only options were EarlGrey, green or chamomile. Also, maybe mention to guests that there is the option of a lift as well as the stairs.

To be honest when we first drove up and realised we were over a suburban pub with a Thai massage place next door, we nearly drove away! But this ended up being the best room of our whole trip. It was modern, clean, comfortable, friendly staff and great dining experience downstairs. An amazing gluten free pizza which I had to check was actually GF it was so good. The bakery across the road smelt amazing from our balcony the next day.
Rocking up in the dark with the beer garden full of tradies had me worried but I quickly got over myself! A little difficult to ascertain where to check in if you park at the back. The room needed a full length mirror otherwise it was exceptional!

Really clean, massive rooms, gorgeous shower, really big TV. Really unexpectedly nice! Great, comfy bed, so much wardrobe space. Milk in the fridge, green tea and black tea, and coffee sachets. The pub downstairs seemed nice. Room was so quiet you never would've known there was a pub downstairs. Seriously, I was really impressed by this room, we only booked in last minute and weren't expecting much at all, but I would absolutely stay again.
You need to drive or get an uber/public transport into the main bit of town Our room faced the street so it was very very light, maybe bring an eye mask if you want to sleep in

The staff were AMAZING I cannot remember the bar staff girls name ?Kat she was SUPER helpful as well as the checking in seamless. The meal was also fabulous I have stayed in many hotels around the world this was on a par. Nearby just across the road a convenience store post office bakery and train station can't get better than that.
Maybe the price? I stayed at Rydges at Sydney airport and the cost was cheaper. Maybe a little expensive but still, was OK with the price. Would stay here again.
