The staff were exceptional. We arrived Christmas Eve, Matthew greeted us at reception and he was a pleasure to interact with every time. The lady who checked us out as well was also lovely. Hotel was very sleek aesthetic. Comfortable beds.

Air con in room turns off automatically if you open the balcony door. The shower in our room leaked a little, had to put an extra towel down to stop it flowing out of the shower. Walking past the parking area, very strong smell of old seafood almost. But they do have a seafood restaurant attached (we didn’t get to try) but presumably the bins will be down there.

The receptionist Maggie was fantastic, personable, ever so friendly and professional too. The foyer to the hotel was set up well and had an expensive feel. It was the quietest and darkest room we have ever stayed in. Love the double doors onto the balcony - could not hear any traffic noise. Bed was big and comfortable. Loved the simple car park without fobs and special codes for entry and exit. The room air conditioner worked extremely well. The complimentary breakfast was a welcomed nice surprise and just enough. Room was very clean.

Poorly lit room, not one bright light available. Disappointing glassware, only one giant red wine glass and one white wine glass, no flutes, despite the drawer being set up to house a full set. Interior of the room is worn and needs a revamp, doors not closing properly, off runners, chipped furniture, deflated sunken cushions on the lounge, overall this room would have been stunning in its day. The description said a deep bath however the overfill drain is at half height so not able to get that deep bath filled up. We stayed as a couple however only one bath rob provided, would have been nice to have one each. Tip if grabbing a quick snack outside don't go to either of the nearby kebab shops as you will be VERY disappointed.

There's nothing that I didn't like - everything was as close to perfection as I could possibly imagine. The location is great, especially if you're going to the stadium which is around the corner pretty much. It was my lucky day cause I got upgraded that day, check-in went fast and easy, they had some sort of promotion that weekend so I got a nice goodie-bag and a free light breakfast for the duration of my stay which was a lovely surprise. I had a balcony with a beautiful view where I had my breakfast and where I watched the sun go down on the last evening of my stay. Just a heads up - close the balcony door behind you cause there was a big but harmless big bug out there that you might not want to visit in your room. ;) The bed was comfortable, everything was spotless and I really liked the interior design of my room. There's a fridge, a kettle, slippers and everything else. I loved it.

I liked the furniture in the hotel and in the room, the bed was really amazing and comfortable. They delivered our breakfast in our room, it was simple, but really tasty; I enjoyed it. The room was quiet and well isolated from noise, it made easy to sleep well. This hotel is really elegant and at a fair price. For sure I would recommend it.

The only thing that I didn't like was the door in the bathroom, because it was not a normal door, but a door full of holes, that from an aesthetic point of view it's perfect and stylish, but I don't think it's a great idea use this type of doors in the bathroom.

This hotel is WONDERFUL - amazing price for such attentive and genuine customer service, comfy beds, modern interior and stunning views. We were upgraded for free and given a bottle of wine upon check-in. The cleanliness, bathroom size and overall quality exceeded expectations. On the outskirts of the CBD, its a great location on a street of bars, restaurants and very close to the local shops. A short bus/uber ride away from the CBD/ train stations!

The shower pressure could've been a little bit stronger (it was an overhead shower and couldn't figure out the handheld showerhead). Such a clean modern bathroom made up for it though and water heated very fast.

What this boutique hotel does well are all the little things. AS per instructions drove straight into the car park and was greeted by the valet. Straight to reception to be quickly checked in and into our rooms where our selected pillows from the pillow menu were already on the bed. Rooms had lovely T2 teabags and coffee sachets with a capsule machine in the reception. In the morning we received a complimentary breakfast. The juice, banana and huge choc chip muffin were delicious.

We booked the basic "Petrie Room" as it was just an overnight stay. This room was very compact and dark as it overlooks a small internal courtyard. So upgrade if spending time in your room, or need good lighting to apply makeup. Also, the open-slat bathroom doors need to be modified. Bathroom doors need to be full doors for many reasons.

Location is fantastic if you’re wanting to be just out of the CBD but also right on the edge. Location for Suncorp Stadium (which we did not attend) is fantastic and right in the hub of great nightlife area. Rooms were exceptionally clean and the amazing clerk at the front desk (who had already gone above and beyond to add a last minute room to our booking) is fantastic! She is efficient, friendly and top notch at customer service!

Not much, my partner and parents thought the rooms were too dark? Not all rooms were stocked properly for tea and coffee facilities, one room had no coffee and the other had no cups.

Wonderful staff - exceptionally helpful Upgraded to corner room Beautifully comfortable bed & pillows; more than adequate blackout curtains; superior soundproofing. We were totally unaware of anyone else on our floor or noises outside. A very nice continental breakfast was delivered to our room The restaurant on-site was excellent

The bathroom has only a slatted wood door & a window into the bedroom, so all sounds, smells, & lights in the middle of the night are unavoidable & intrusive The lighting is subdued which is not good for putting on makeup - had to stand by a window with a hand mirror which was fine during daylight but at night there was no where bright enough

We were upgraded to a King Room, which was lovely. It was clean, modern and the beds were comfy. Even though we were on Caxton Street on a Saturday night, we did not hear any outside noise whatsoever - very quiet. Fantastic location and the staff were very friendly and professional.

The door to the bathroom was a wooden open grated door. It looked pretty but had absolutely no function as a door. Why do designers think this is a good idea? I absolutely hate not having a modicum of privacy when using the bathroom.

Staff were excellent, hotel was clean and very quiet. Room was well appointed with everything I needed including robe & slippers. There was an issue with a window not closing in my room the first night but it was quickly and efficiently dealt with and, as it couldn't be fixed during my stay, they moved me to an upgraded room and offered to pack me up & assist with my bags. Mark the Manager is particularly efficient, friendly and has excellent customer service. What you'd expect from a 5* Hotel.

No breakfast room service. They do offer a light breakfast delivered to your door but no 'real' coffee, just coffee bags in your room or a Nespresso machine in the Lobby. I had to check out early and requested my 'breakfast' to be delivered earlier but it didn't arrive before I left... I'm sure I could have asked for it if I'd really wanted it but a little disappointing.
