Great location with easy walking access to beach and restaurants

You cannot get just a coffee or something light for breakfast in their restaurant. It is either the $45 full breakfast, room service or you go out to find something. Room only has nescafe instant coffee saches. Pretty poor for the type and standard of hotel

Everything else was good.

After booking we were charged an extra $25 per day for carparking. This should be illegal or at least confirmed before booking. Basically adding to the already over inflated accommodation rate. I will go elsewhere, likely Peppers across the street with bigger rooms. Breakfast was very expensive compared to local restaurants for half the price.

This hotel is value for money and don't let the rogue negative comments on the reviews page mislead you. I had made the mistake of reading the reviews and definitely got a false impression, which makes me think they're potentially lies or spam accounts. The Sofitel Broadbeach has great/helpful staff, clean/modern rooms, high spec Balmain amenities and is in the perfect location. The beds are comfortable, pillows are of good consistency (don't deflate when you lie down) and housekeeping do a nice job cleaning up daily. The only comment I would say is that for some people who may have stayed in a high-end 5 star e.g. Park Hyatt, this isn't that; but it is still 5 star.

No real comments here, as everything exceeded my expectations. Perhaps the only thing is that they charge >$20 per day for WiFi, which makes no sense in today's tech environment. However, for most of us with unlimited data, this isn't an issue.

Location couldn't have been better as we had travelled from New Zealand to attend the Blues Festival

The Final account. Unfortunately we never took a copy of when we first booked on line and thought the final account was a little more than we signed up too. As we are not complainers, we just paid up and moved on. If you did have a copy of what we booked, we would be very interested so that we could let the matter rest completely in our minds. ( maybe see our oversight) however it is not the end of the world as we had such a lovely time in Broadbeach. We did go back on to internet on arriving home ,however we notice some price were markedly different to what thought, we had seen earlier.

Great Breakfast facilitates and polite and friendly staff. The location was great for the reunion that we were attending. The handy access to the Gold Coast Tramline was good for access to the various outings that had been arranged. Parking facilities for our hire car were also very good. We quite enjoyed the little touch of French to the service.

There was a little mixup with our suitcases being delivered to our room due to our being given a different room on check in as the one originally allocated to us was not ready when we arrived. This problem was quickly sorted by the staff after a phone call to reception.

The buffet breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever experienced!!! Super fresh and tasty. Location is perfect. Awesome views. Loads of eateries close by. Comfortable bed and pillows, bathroom amenities were awesome. Great mini bar. The pool area is outstanding, loved it! Very friendly staff, quick to deliver an ice bucket and champagne glasses as well as room service

The lifts can take quite a while, especially at peak times (breakfast, check out etc) One time we gave up and used the fire exit stairs, which was an interesting adventure :)

the beds and pillows were as advertised very comfortable We are residents of Broadbeach and have never been to the Sofitel so very impressed and will visit for a weekend again...

we missed a table between the beds if you want to have a drink or put something for nighttime...colour scheme a little drab need a bit of colour it is the Gold Coast...

Wonderful location. Close to beach restaurants and the convention centre. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful.

Disappointing that parking and wifi were extra given most 5star hotels we have stayed at previously on the Gold Coast include for free . The hotel is a bit dated which was ok but the rooms could of been cleaner. Headboard dusty. Glasses not replaced. Would stay again for the location alone. No staff at pool area. No staff to man the towels, serve drinks or food etc. Not a good layout pool for children. Obstructed views and multi levels.

Great location with easy access to restaurants, shops and public transport. The room and bathroom was adequate size and comfortable.

It would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room rather than the the powder packets of coffee that were available. Although the room was quite clean it was not vacuumed during my stay week long stay

Dreadful bars and restaurant such a shame. Dining area bar is tiny and has gross orange lighting The larger bar is like a low class SRL. Soulless. Missed a trick. Breakfast not included Must use elevator- can’t walk downstairs- fire doors would not open to ground floor
