The Phoenician Resort

Location was central to everything. Pool deck was fabulous.

The noise from the bar below, especially the live singing, drifted up to our room every night. There is a lot of construction close by and they start very early. A bit surprised that when we realised that we had to buy our basic supplies: toilet rolls etc. It is not a serviced apartment so we should have been prepared (our bad). I would be happy to have them supplied for an extra cost.

Spacious well appointed 2 bedroom apartment in the East Tower. Family really liked the indoor/ out pools and proximity to cafes shops etc. The reception staff are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever come across

A few kitchen items that would have made a big difference when preparing meals in our apartment. Some salad /serving dishes , chopping boards ( the pull out one is not really usable ). My friend’s apartment had opposite - 6 boards! It is not on the beach front so noisier but my teenagers loved the location - walk out the door straight to Yo Chi!

We were very impressed with the staff at check in. I wish I had got the lady's name as her attention to detail was outstanding, and I particularly enjoyed that she addressed me by name. A personal touch not often received at many places inthe way of customer service. I am looking at when we can plan to return. Thank you very much! Our son has stayed at The Phoenician previously, when competing at Aussies for surf lifesaving, and enjoyed his stay as well.

Unfortunately the floor was quite dirty as it had been vacuumed but I would say not mopped well. Some of the cutlery still had food remaining on it from previous use. We were offered another parking space when calling to check booking was secure but this was forgotten when the other party staying with us checked in. This may have been due to no spaces remaining, which was fine, but maybe it could have been noted verbally to them.

Our apartment was recently re furbished. Huge king size bed, fabulous bathroom and kitchen. View from our apartment was amazing overlooking Star Casino and the mountains in the distance. Heated indoor pool and spa great. Location was fabulous 👌 everything within walking distance. Pleasantly 😮 surprised. Reception staff top class. 👏

Lounge suite was very uncomfortable, a lamp in the lounge area would have been great. Also a soap dish in bathroom near basin would have been great. Nowhere to put wet soap except on the bench. A few basic supplies would have been great in the kitchen eg. Salt, pepper, foil. Colander and toilet paper was very scarce. Unfortunately couldn't buy just 1 extra roll. A really bad odour at times when entering the apartment, I went and bought bleach spray to clean drains, helped for a day then smell returned.

Great size apartment for families. Kitchen is handy and beds are comfortable. Would recommend to ask staff to change bed configuration in booking because it cost $30 to change otherwise. Also towels are $5 to rent, we brought our own and there is washing machine and dryer, great setup. Restaurants downstairs are amazing! Honestly everything we tried was so good, we got takeaway alot because we had young kids and there is a s Dishwasher. Beach and supermarket is easy 5 minute walk, pacific fair shopping centre is 5 minute drive, really excellent location for families.

The bathrooms are a bit outdated and could do with a renewal. We had a weird smell in one of the toilets but this is easily fixed by staff, also occasionally we had bubbles come up from the drain in the bathroom, was not a huge issue and staff can fix it.

Loved the location. Very central to everything. We did not need to hire a car, could walk everywhere. Great range of restaurants within walking distance. Also close to the beach. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment and both rooms had bathrooms. The kids room was a bit more seperate from the main living area, which was great in regard to noise as they often went to bed earlier than us. The balcony was quite big and great to sit at and enjoy the view. Great facilities in kitchen and laundry. The outdoor pool was heated and had salt water. The indoor pool was really heated and great to relax in. Overall, a very great stay.

The only negative thing was that on the second day there was a very strong odour throughout the apartment and whole building, it appeared. It was quite strong and unpleasant, but it was only for one day. No problems on any other day.

As usual I enjoy the location to all amenities.

One family more or less took over the indoor pool, spa and sauna for several hours on one of the days we were there. They were even using the sauna as somewhere to dry clothes and shoes. This trip I was back in the East Tower (despite requesting North). Room was fine but it is much further to walk to get to indoor pool facilities which was painful for my partner and I as we both had pain on walking.

Location was excellent. The hotel was very clean and smelt lovely.. The shared facilities were exceptional (heated pools, indoor pool, kiddie pool). The apartments were big. Laundry powder and dish washing liquid were provided.

The bathroom could do with an update. The shower screen was old and almost of its tracks. The was not alot of cutlery. Not enough to fill a dishwasher to warrant a wash. There were 3 large moths in the apartment when we checked in. It would be great if you were to provide a few more garage bags.

First stayed here 20 years ago. Still a great place to stay. Our one bedroom apartment was recently fully renovated and had everything required for a few days stay. Comfortable beds,, great recliner couch and fully equipped kitchen. Reception staff there until around 8pm and always ready to assist. Good eating places literally outside the two from entrances and also near the rear entrance as well.

Main pool is not heated, so had to use the indoor pool at this time of year.

Fantastic location, facilities and friendly staff. The room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Loved having a balcony to relax & read with a view of the ocean. Loved that the indoor pool was heated.

Bathroom was good but could do with a refresh, seemed a little dated. Would have loved if the bathroom products were replaced daily. Didn't think charging for beach towels was necessary at $5/towel. When you are on holiday at the beach you are going to need fresh towels regularly and didn't love that it would be extra if we wanted fresh ones daily.
