Away from the noise (location is quite remote from town so you need to drive for everything but that s what offers you the calm). Garden is beautiful and you get to hear a lot of birds. Matrass was very good (not too soft and in good shape). The room had a 'cachet' with its old stylle furniture (no ikea room). You have access to the laundry room.

Our studio was a bit dark. The small courtyard in frpnt of it is also envlosed in the vegetation preventing from seeing the garden. Wifi wasnt working on our arrival but the owner fixed it for the 2nd night. Yet it s pretty slow and as there is no telstra coverage there, you cant work digital there. The property is for sale so you can feel a certain disinterest in the running of the business (we only met the owner cause there was a long lasting powercut in the morning otherwise you r on your own).

The property, ambience, atmosphere- everything is top notch to be at home away from home. We loved the stay. The property was well presented clean. We stayed at Avocado chalet - and yes there are Avocado trees around. My kid loved playing outside and exploring nature. I recommend if you are willing to spend peaceful close to nature holiday.

Only the wifi and phone signal plays some time. Can be frustrating for kids if they prefer screen time

Nice style of room. Rustic but comfortable . I didn't actually talk to anyone from the unit so hard to say how they were. The check in check out was convenient though.

No smoke alarm in the room at all. This was very concerning since one of the joining rooms had a combustion wood heater. The rooms were old and timber so there should be smoke detectors at a minimum.

Lovely quiet spot, easy check in and check out with keys left out for us, comfortable clean room.

Even though their website says 'Your included continental breakfast consists of cereal, fresh bread, juice and a selection of jam.' there was no breakfast supplied but fortunately we had taken some food with us. Being 7 km out of Mount Gambier it wasn't just a matter of walking out for breakfast.

Loved the fact that this was a tad out of town - lovely natural bushland surrounded the property. An envelope with a key was awaiting me at reception, and what a lovely surprise when I entered the studio apartment which I had booked - similar to my home with soaring ceilings, and all extremely comfortable. I didn't spot the owners, or anyone, for that matter, so here's a thank you to them for a wonderful stay!

Unfortunately the people renting the chalets next to us were very loud and disturbed our sleep. Also not a fan of the couch, for some reason the couch cushions just slide right off when you sit on them

About 7 kms out of town on acreage. Very quiet and peaceful. So pleased we stayed here. The room is a bit tired looking, but extremely clean, very comfortable and great shower. Peaceful and tranquil is how I would describe it. Great for the soul. Would love to live here. Will definitely stay here again.

Location was lovely. The chalet itself is a wooden cottage. We were in the Orchard Chalet. Has a lovely spa bath and pretty well everything we needed. Free to use laundry which was also great. Beds were very comfortable. I noticed a previous review that said the chalets were dated and in need of an upgrade. If you are looking for really modern accommodation, then perhaps this is not it, but it was comfortable and peaceful and had a lovely atmosphere. The Barn steakhouse was within walking distance and serves a fabulous meal.

The WiFi was really bad....apparently there is some connection issue with the new tower down the road, but I ended up just using my mobile network and hotspotting from that.

Beautifully presented, everything you will need in the Avocado Chalet, quiet location, wonderful scenery and gardens, would recommended to all. We will stay at Clarendon Chalets when we visit Mt Gambier next.

We were there for a sporting event and did not get to enjoy our chalet and surrounds as much as we would have liked to.

Orchard Chalet was spacious for the price and had fireplace and spa, both great for winter nights.

The split system heating in our chalet was not working but owner did his best to fix (unfortunately unable to), but provided us discount for an additional night stay and extra firewood at no charge.
