The whole property was immaculately presented with attention to detail. The Hay suite, as is all their suites, was stunning & comfortable, offering a luxurious & restful stay. We loved the Appelles bathroom amenities, and the tea selection on offer was appealing as well. The two owners were very friendly and helpful. We dined at The Commodore next door (also owned by Delgattie Estate) & the food was incredibly tasty & of a very high standard, service was impeccable & food served very quickly. Next time we stay here we would consider having this sent to Delgattie to dine at the property.

This is a delightful property with real old world charm, huge rooms and an excellent setting. Bed was lovely as was the freestanding bath. Breakfast can be a hamper in your room or at the adjacent Commodore Hotel, which operates Delgattie Estate. Both are good options as are dinner and cocktails at the Hotel. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended,

The only very slight negative was that the arrival instructions were a bit vague but a phone call clarified things quickly.

This is a wonderful boutique luxury option for a stay in Mt Gambier. Located about a 5–10-minute walk to the centre of town, this is a heritage property that has been renovated and furnished to a high standard. The common areas are beautiful – gorgeous dining room and full size billiards room! The high quality linens, fluffy towels and bathrobes, beautiful mini bar and glassware are thoughtful touches that make this a luxe stay. We stayed in the Hay Suite which had a bedroom with a large flat screen TV and a small lounge with a gas fireplace. These were connected by a spacious well-equipped bathroom. The space didn’t work that well for us because we are on a long road trip with lot of luggage, but this is a lovely option for a weekend treat!

the location was really good and the property itself was beautiful. The room, the Frew Suite was stunning.

In regard to attention to detail to housekeeping as soon as we walked into the room we noticed something had been spilt on the bedside table closest to the door. It looked like spilt wax or milk or something. We cleaned that up as it was one of those things that you couldn't miss every time you came into the room. Also when we had a drink in the sitting room there were two large cobwebs on the Chandelier lights. Unfortunately, these minor things can detract from the amazing things about the room and property.

Room had lots of character, comfortable and very well situated to tour Mount Gambier township and surrounds. Really enjoyed our stay.

Make sure you let them know in advance when you're arriving so staff can check you in and provide keys. Staff appear to be nearby to help if plans change. Also, tv in room uses chromecast if you want to watch your own streaming services.

This is just the best possible place. We were fortunate enough to have the place to ourselves. There are two other suites and ours was the smallest, but it really didn't matter. Everythig was perfect. The staff were delightful, friendly and helpful. The breakfast hamper was wonderful. The beds and other facilities were lovely. My only slight disappointment was that we were only able to stay for one night. We will definitely be back and will stay for two or more nights next time. The place is perfect.

This by far was a highlight of our stay after our trip across the great ocean road !,, wish we could of stayed longer so luxurious so special a big congratulations to the owner for an impeccable property !!! Everything was perfect even had a beautiful kitchen And washer and dryer ,bathroom to die for haha !,, huge TV and gorgeous views outside And the games room with full-size Billiards table 👏👏👏

Could not fault it

This was definitely a luxury stay. The furnishings were gorgeous, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and the claw bath was heaven. The gas fire in the form of a coal fire in the fireplace added extra cosiness and romance. Breakfast was generous. Staff were very helpful.

Not knowing the area and being unaware the estate was on a highway just up the hill from a major intersection, I was unprepared for the level of heavy truck noise throughout my 3-night stay. The room photos had looked so serene.

Clean, great location and setup. The fire was really cute. Good sheets. The shower was great and all the soaps were lovely.

The perfume sticks and perfume spray used on the linen was so strong! It made me feel nauseous and itchy. Had to chock the door and window open for fresh air. There were no fly screens so our room became full of bugs. The bed was so soft we had an awful sleep and woke with achey bodies.

This is a special place to stay. From the decor to the service, to the amenities, they considered everything. The space in the rooms allowed us to unload all our luggage and still have plenty of room to coast around without feeling restricted. They offer Nespresso coffee machines with plenty of pods to get you started in the morning. And for the tea drinker there are wonderful options for you as well. The bath was exceptional. We just could not leave it. Location is in walking distance to the main Street with all the restaurants. And if that's not good enough, the Commodore hotel on the same property has an exceptional menu.

My only complaint would be the WiFi , but we didn't care about that as travellers who wanted to unplug a little.
