Great food and location. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Handy to have the kitchen and a washing machine available as well. Great dining downstairs. Not for those who don't like stairs but that didn't bother us.

The bed and pillows were very firm and a bit disappointing as the rest was perfect. The king size bed was joined together with a hard rib down the middle. The pillows were very large, which is great, but they were also very high and very firm. Just didn't suit either of us unfortunately.

Loved the room, it was such an expected surprise. Value for money, especially with breakfast included. Loved the little touches. The rooms are stunning and well set up. Love the huge bathroom and living space in Mathews. The shared kitchen with our own eggs and bacon was brilliant. Location is perfect to pop out and see things.

The menu in the room wasn't clear that you could do room service. We thought it was for the restaurant down stairs. So we went into the pub to eat and ordered our meals, and they were more expensive than the same meals on the menu to have in our room.

Staff were super friendly without being in your face, very clean and tidy room. Decent mini fridge and bathroom utilities provided. My steak was cooked perfectly and served hot. The park only has the three rooms I learnt, so it has a very private feel as opposed to overcrowded hotels. The only downside in the Carey suite was the open-plan bath room, I'm assuming it's been done to perhaps stop smokers, or maybe they thought couples would enjoy it I'm unsure but i for one love privacy when using a toilet :) The bed was so comfortable, and the TV was east to connect to with no annoying hotel password, just auto WiFi. I am very impressed and will be back. Shout out to the morning staff for grabbing my partners phone also. The bathroom was super cute and very impressed with free coffee and tea selection.

From when i spoke with her on the phone to meeting her in person When we checked in. I think her name was sarah forgive me if im wrong, with tattoos and dark hair she so lovely!! Her customer service was on point and went above and beyond to accommodate for us and make sure our stay was lovely which it was.

Large room with couch and chair. Large shower. Shared kitchen available to use for breakfast. Helpful staff. Easy stroll to the main shops in town.

No door on bathroom (I like privacy if staying with someone). Two beds pushed together to make larger bed but could really feel where they joined in the middle (normally I like to spread out but couldn’t). There are a number of doors to get into the place, needed help to find check in (but staff were very helpful!)

The hotel was a lovely example of older accommodation but it was attached to a pokies venue which I didnt realise until we pulled into the car park,The staff we met were friendly and helpful- our room was two stories up (no lift)and as older people carrying cases and bags up through locked doors and two flights hurt some but the room was elegant and comfortable with loads of supplied extras such as a coffee machine .They supplied a washing drying machine ,breakfast for each room labelled with room name if you chose to eat and make your own breakfast ,Across the road was a beautifully calm park for visually impaired and a short walk to the town centre and food places, art centres . sinkholes and museums The room was large comfortable and clean and well maintained In house dining was offered and the food plentiful and quickly delivered and a beautifly maintained kitchen supplied for the guest rooms . All in all a beautiful guest section and quiet even with the pokies and lovely wood and high ceilings with air con /heater so very cosy in the cold wet time we were there .

We had to walk through the pokies area to register and through dinning room to get to a locked glass door to climb two flights to the room . Only one set of keys supplied so we could not go out separately and explore . I would have like to shop and my partner to run but one set stopped that and we had to select a few things that could be done to suit us both in a limited time frame .Before booking check if you can get two sets of keys if needed . The shower head was a water saver but the nozzel was so small that any level of pressure made the water skin cutting and wasnt as enjoyable after a long cold walk as it could have been -but the shower stall was large .

Good location , just around the corner from the main Commercial Street. The common kitchen was useful and the room itself was comfortable

Need to climb two flights of stairs to get to the room which wasn’t obvious while I was booking . My 70+ year old parents found it hard to climb up and down . Carrying the luggage was a nightmare :(

We stayed in the Matthews Suite. Lovely room, big and beautiful. Very accommodating staff. The kitchen and breakfast supplies were a great bonus. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We ate in the restaurant downstairs. Unfortunately the food was overpriced and the meal was below expectations. I would definitely stay again but go elsewhere for a meal.

Quiet room/location; not disturbed by any hotel or outside noise. Self-serve kitchen with complimentary food was a bonus! Useful desk space for daytime work between appointments.

Rug on floor needs replacing - unsafe and a bit of a nuisance when sitting at desk! Heavier floor mat would be good.

Lovely character filled old hotel. Bed was very comfortable, room was spacious and well set out. The communal kitchen was fantastic, eggs, bacon, cereals etc.. all provided for you to cook at your leisure.

Could make it clearer on arrival as to where to go to check in. As it's a working pub, we had to wander around looking for reception and ended up asking at the Bar. So just a couple of signs in the car park or as you enter would be great.
