YHA Port Elliot Beach House

Lovely, fantastic location as so close to horseshoe bay, different walking trails and sightseeing views, amazing and friendly reception staff who gives awesome recommendations, last-minute booking for 1 night before a public holiday is really handy, common room allows for a different experience for the family, free pantry and fridge supplies like fresh milk and coffee in the common kitchen

The squeaky floors, but there are plenty of signs and warnings, and it is an awesome experience for the kids to lift their feet when going up the stairs. No aircon, so a bit stuffy.

Great weekend stay in this gorgeous hostel. Was our second stay and booked the small family 'suite' which was great. Rooms were spotless and the staff just wonderful. Beds were pretty comfy overall - top bunk squeaks a bit but other than that all good. Will stay again as is a great location and easy access to the beach and local cafes etc.

position position. short stroll to the beach and great views. fabulous heritage building with character. room and all amenities neat and clean. bed so comfortable with fresh, pressed linen. activity room was great. staff polite friendly and helpful.

perhaps improved lighting for the staircase.

The hostel itself was beautiful!! Had lovely views out to Horseshoe Bay. The kitchen is huge, and so modern, with all that you need. Bonus points for their efforts on recycling!! Staff are very friendly, including the mini-helper on reception :-). Our room was spotless, with a sea view that topped it all off. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Beautiful old property in a fabulous location opposite the water and parkland. Very welcoming managers. Lovely shared dining and lounge areas. Balcony for the shared suite is a bonus.

Kitchen is a bit small but has everything you need. Family suite has all beds in the same room. Bathroom is pretty small but functional.

The facilities are amazing with everything from a well resourced kitchen to quaint dining and lounge areas to a games room that will keep the kids amused. The view from the suite is outstanding, location and parking spot on and the hosts and other guests were all super friendly.

There is nothing I didn't like and for the price, you would be hard pressed to find better. We stayed in the suite, not a shared room.

Fantastic view and excellent location if you’re exploring the Fleurieu Peninsula. Graham was great, we arrived after hours but was still gracious and accommodating.

Noisy floor. We sometimes feel guilty for walking. LOL. This is the only thing we didn’t quite like; this is negligible though and would not affect the likeliness that we would stay in this property again in the future. The rest of our stay is superb!

My daughter and I loved playing table tennis. It was great having a fridge, all the crockery/ cutlery you need. Fabulous location and nice and clean.

There was a female staff/cleaner member that was very rude- non verbally but she made it clear she didn't like my daughter or me.

It's a lovely large old house run by a lovely couple. The room was clean and the common areas are well set up and have a very homely feel. It's almost like a home away from home :) It is also perfectly positioned at the top of Horseshoe Bay with magnificent views from the balcony. I only a spent a night there with my three kids, but we all loved the place and will definitely be back one day....

One minor thing, the blind wasn't very effective keeping the light out in the morning, so we all woke up with sunrise. Only an issue if you are keen to sleep in.

All was generally fine. Property could do with some updates ie newer furniture and lampshades, but I appreciate that it is a heritage building.
