The room is fashionable and equipped in a very modern way despite being located in an old building. The bathroom is huge and the shower is awesome. The location is fantastic with a short walking distance from everything.

In general great place, these are just minor: - I found getting the paper newspaper every morning wasteful. - The parking situation is a bit hectic as the parking is not in the same building as the hotel and there is no easy way to park and (un)pack your car. When I arrived I didn't even know where to park to check-in. On the other hand, having free parking relatively close is awesome.

Incredibly large rooms. The bed was extremely comfy and the views of the beach were amazing, particularly at sunrise. Check in was a little confusing at first, but don't let that put you off the gem. The location was perfect in the middle of the town and easy walk to intercity bus stops. The complimentary breakfast was an added bonus!! Would happily stay again!

Definitely on the more expensive end of the scale. The rooms are truly excellent, but I just would've loved to see some of the electronics (like the microwave and TV) upgraded to better fit what's expected of this higher-end room/ price.

Super friendly and helpful staff, big comfortable bed with lots of space in the room. (Room 12) Great bathroom and really nice toiletries. Immaculately clean. Free paper every morning and the complimentary cereal is a nice touch. Thankyou for an excellent stay, I know where to go when I come back to Burnie

I couldn't leave windows open overnight because of the fan noise outside as well as the breeze causing the blinds to bang on the window. However the fan supplied was cooler than I expected it to be.

Fantastic place to stay in Burnie. Huge space, clean, two tvs, comfy bed, fresh towels and cleaned each day. We had the bonus of a small spa as well. Great selection in the bar fridge at reasonable prices, plus restocks of Tassie red wine. Loved the huge mirror in our room. Awesome brewery and food (Communion Brewing) 50m away, plus close to all conveniences and the bay at Burnie. Rate Burnie as a base for exploring the north west.

We loved this hotel! Huge room, full living area, spa bath, newspaper delivered daily, laundry facilities. The bed was incredibly comfy too. We were really impressed. The gentleman who checked us in (Steve?) was very detailed in explaining everything, especially considering it was Christmas day. Thanks for an excellent stay.

Very spacious and comfortable. Extremely well equipped. Continental breakfast provisions were a thoughtful and appreciated addition. There are stairs but we had researched and were aware of this.

The sign to identify the property was small and we missed it first time passing by. Also parking not clearly identified however we’re shown additional off site undercover parking after checking in

My room at the Ikon Hotel was huge with a seating area and tv. There was a lovely comfortable bed with a second tv on the wall opposite and a large bathroom with a spa bath and separate large shower. It also had a large kitchenette. Bathrobes and slippers were also available. The hotel is right in the main shopping area of Burnie and a block from the seafront. I would definitely stay here again.

The place was impeccably clean. Spacious & comfortable. Staff very friendly & helpful when we arrived. Housekeeping staff very friendly & a brilliant job. Wonderful to have a complementary brekkie & local paper delivered in the mornings. The location was great in town near everything. Would recommend & stay there again.

How friendly the lady at reception was. Also the lady who came to service the room was very efficient and lovely. Loved the artwork on the walls. The beautiful high ceilings and fancy cornice and pressed tin. The room was clean spacious and had the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. It also had the biggest mirror I've ever seen.

The shower head, I like a shower head that sprays lots of thick jets of water. The shower head in the room made the water spray in a thin cone.

The location was great - Right in the city. Staff were friendly and helpful; the room was quite large and a great ocean view. The bathroom was huge, with a spa bath and a separate large shower. It was spotlessly clean, with basic facilities for preparing snacks if required.

The only thing I could say that I didn't like was two flights of stairs - but that it a personal limitation due to dodgy joints, not a fault. Besides, you don't usually get a great view without some elevation.
