The room was clean and fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable to sleep in and the hotel management were courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel was a short one kilometre walk into the CBD. Overall, an excellent experience.

The amount of crockery was sparse. There were only two tiny side plates provided to put our food onto! Also, the carpark spaces were really cramped due to so many SUV's dominating the area - a parking accident (car door dents and bumper scratches) waiting to happen. My own saloon car (a Mazda 3) was scraped by another vehicle. Perhaps the drivers of large vehicles could be asked to park their vehicles on the road outside?

We booked three rooms for family to attend FESTIVALE in the park opposite. The motel is tired but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. We knew it was a low cost motel but we needed a comfortable bed, close to the event. You don't book a luxurious hotel when you just need a place to sleep. We were lucky to get parking. We understand some low life's, not motel guests, used the parking to attend the event, causing some guests to miss out on a car space. We will stay again.

I was happy to have a convenient place to sleep.

Olivia was lovely , friendly and helpful on our arrival We had not been to Launceston before , so she gave a few ideas on direction and what was around in walking and shopping distance. Our room overlooked the park which was nice. Only had to ask for a hairdryer , the girls just gave us some extra linen when we asked . And we were able to leave our car a little longer after checkout so we walk to the local Saturday morning farmers market which is a must see.

Rates were reasonable in such a peak holiday period. In fact, you can’t do any better! Helpful staff and manager was exceptionally accommodating and helpful. Help was always available and any issues were sorted out straightaway.

A bit outdated but mainly WiFi and lack of air conditioner were the only two issues. Launceston is not often that warm but things are changing so getting hotter. I can understand that it will be challenging to manage air conditioning without refurbishing. WiFi can get better or may be another option can be to offer a paid option such as $10-15 per day and as it is such a necessity these days, I am sure people will be happy to pay for it.

Location excellent, across from City Park, close to UTas Stadium for Footy, walk to CBD, 10 min drive to Casino, sunny position even for winter, many rooms have balcony to sit out on and enjoy scenery, have a cup of tea and a smoke. Great to have secure, off street parking also.

Had to climb stairs and old farts like us found it a bit hard so an elevator would have been great, especially when you have to make repeat trips to your car to bring in your belongings.

We were able to cook for ourselves. The room had a heater and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed, although the cutlery was minimal. The lighting was very good. The hot water was abundant and indeed was hot.

We both have issues with climbing up stairs. The motel is situated up a steep street and it is necessary to use a ramp with a handrail to get from the carpark to the studio. This is not a criticism of the Parklane Hotel; it just happens to be situated where it is. The problem is us, not them.

Amazing location close to the centre of Launceston.. Parking is included. Shopping centre is a short drive away. The room and bathroom are spacious with a comfortable queen bed and a single bed. There is an electric blanket and heater in the bathroom. All the appliances worked well.

The shower is in the bath which could be a problem for some people. The stove was grubby.

Great location - however is on a steep hill, so keep this in mind for young children, pram etc Very good price - everything you need for a cheap stay! Spa was pretty fun! Heating was fantastic Plenty of car parks Park across the road Restaurant and bar just up the road Heaps of food places and shops down the road!

Shower pressure was a bit low. Toilet continued to run water through after flushing and was a little bit noisy (just closed the door) Pillows were well used and a bit flat. Cot wasn’t in our room upon arrival and we weren’t given bedding for it either and has to make do with what we had.

Loved the big rooms and very well-equipped kitchen. It was great having an extra TV in the kids' room. Laundry facilities were very affordable and great. I liked how they were close to our room. It was a close walk to the city centre. Staff were very friendly. It was great to have a decent wardrobe because we had lots of dancing costumes to hang because we were there for a competition.

The sheets on my bed were a bit smelly, just I think they might have been a bit damp when bed was made so it was a slightly musty wet smell. Kids beds were fine. They were still clean and it wasn't a dirty smell. In hindsight I should have just asked to have them changed. We were up the top level which had beautiful views but it was hard work walking up the hill - but good exercise and it did mean we were close to the laundry.

The room was very spacious for 3 adults and also had a balcony! It was great to have a fridge, microwave and kettle. We were able to eat out as well as in. There was also a bath! The location was perfect, and we walked everywhere. The staff were all very friendly.
