The bed was comfy, the room was very clean and the separate private bathroom was great as well. Good sized room and fantastic sound-proofing...I could hardly hear the pub underneath at night. Lovely friendly staff and great food in the pub. Also a good location, I could walk to other restaurants and parks and shops as needed. Pretty easy to get there and street parking available if you can't get into the small car park.

Could have been better with some curtains or something to block out the street light that was right outside my room, which the blinds couldn't quite block out. That's the only thing for room 9.

Very nice hotel in old building with a bar at 1st floor. Everything is safe and sound, old but clean, good locations with lots of restaurants nearby. And price is super affordable for a room with private bathroom. Staffs are very friendly and supportive, helped me with the luggage storing for 2 days when I went to Cradle mt.

The only thing that you need to be mindful is bad sound-proofing so if you want to stay here, make sure you can sleep with the noise. As hotel is located at the crossroad so there’re always people driving in late at night or early morning. Weekend is a bit tricky as the bar downstair would operate until late (probably after 11pm).

Everything. The pretty location with many eating choices, the heritage, the bar and bistro downstairs had great food and good if limited wine choices. Proximity to the airport. Comfortable room with a ceiling fan on a hot night, a window I could open and a proper fly wire screen to prevent mosquitoes flying in. Clean spacious private bathroom. Immaculate bed linen. The pub closed in time for us to have an early night and sleep. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The bar patrons were mixed. It was not a ‘rough pub’. It was half the price of other options. Car parking was easy and free. Coles was a short walk away.

I liked everything about this property for the inexpensive price I paid. Slightly tired carpet on the steep staircase to the rooms.

Distance from town, reasonably quite leafy street, nice family orientated bar/lounge facilities, good dining in house and in close proximity. We were late in booking, so only the cheaper room option was available with your own private ensuite centrally located externally to the room. I would prefer next time to have an ensuite room, it was not an issue, just our personal preference being Senior Citizens. Also, the are two flights of stairs up to the rooms, no lift, so keep that in mind when booking, not by any means a criticism of this fine old establishment, just a word of advice.

Neighbour knocking on door and asking me to turn off TV when I had it down so low I could hardly hear it, whilst I was trying to watch a show I wanted to see, being Mushrooms 50-year concert. I personally think if he wants total peace and serenity, he needs to go somewhere else. It would be a deterrent for me staying there again however, I will speak to management before booking next time, to secure a room where the TV is not above an adjoining room door, where the Neighbours bed was positioned on the other side.

Exceptional place to stay. Your own room, own bathroom even if it isn't an ensuite room. Clean comfortable beds and respectable service. Shout out to the cleaners for they do a great job. Unlike many other places in Launceston. Only drawbacks are a little cold sometimes, perhaps best to have softer warmer blanket options or heaters and some doors are sticky and hard to shut easily. Fantastic location and great cosy street views. Highly recommended for accommodation in Launceston. Will be returning often for my business and personal trips. It's a great place for both. Even has down stairs bar and restaurant options.

A little cold may be good to have alternative heating options or blankets (the one there was dusty and itchy not helpful to me)

Good value for money, location was good about 5 to 10 minutes walk to city. Everything was clean. There was no fridge and when we mentioned it one appeared when we were out. We enjoyed our stay. We had 7 hours before we had to be at the airport, we asked a girl if we could leave our luggage at the hotel and she allowed us to leave the luggage behind a locked door until we were ready to go to the airport.

We normally like to have some basic cooking facilities, these days its not cheap to eat out all the time.

Had a very comfortable one-night stay here. We arrived late and the self check-in was seamless, but I'd recommend you call them first to arrange this. The room was big enough for us and luggage and the temperate was very comfortable. No noise at all on a Thursday night, but could potentially be noisy on a weekend? Our neighbours were very quiet - but again, if you has disrespectful room neighbours it could be a problem for some. The linen was crisp and fresh and very comfortable. The room had a fan and a panel heater (neither were required for our stay) but I suspect Tassie rooms don't require hard-core air cooling/conditioning.

Even though you have a "private" bathroom, it's still separate requiring a short walk down the hall (accessed with your room key). Whilst this was no trouble for us, some may find it unsatisfactory. That said, the bathroom was very clean and the towels were nice and white and fluffy. The water pressure wasn't great. Like all rooms above a pub, there are a somewhat steep flight of stairs to navigate to get to the rooms

Bedroom was functional, bed was warm and comfy with good quality bedding. Building is old, meaning creaky floorboards and while it is clean and tidy, it isn’t a modern property. Bathroom was functional, however while each room has their own bathroom/en suite, it is not accessed directly from the room, but rather a short walk from the room - don’t forget your room clean. All up, functional, clean, secure and a great location.

Shower door needed a lot of force to get closed or open, wifi suffered from too many users, and blinds were in poor repair, meaning the room was quite bright early in the morning.

Room was neat, clean & bright. Spacious for single bed/occupant. Minimal furniture with single bed, bedside & coat stand but that’s all I needed. Private bathroom is seperate but no big deal. It was clean & the shower hot. Location close to Coles. For slightly more $ this is much better value than Pod Inn that I stayed at earlier.

Not the pub/venue’s fault but some of the male patrons when I went out to get some shopping made me feel uncomfortable- staring & generally making me feel uneasy. If you’re a solo female traveller this might be uncomfortable for you. But I never felt unsafe. Yes there’s noise from patrons having a night out but it didn’t bother me.

All the staff were friendly,, kind and very hard working. My bedroom was spacious and spotless and so was my own shower room. I was expecting it to be noisy but it was quite the opposite. I am new to Solo travelling and felt extremely safe and secure at Sporties. I will definitely return and would highly recommend it to business or leisure guests. Thankyou!

Liked everything.
