We liked the how clean the capsule was and how well it blocked light and noise. Not 100% but much better than the reviews led me to believe. We also liked how clean the bathrooms were. And the price was fantastic. One of our lockers jammed but there was a QR code next to it with video instructions for unjamming them (push on the door). Likewise there was a QR code on the front desk for video instructions for where the clean towels were kept. Very handy.

We noticed that the bathrooms have ventilation issues which have led to mould problems. I could see that they had painted over the mould on the ceiling but there was mould on the walls too. I couldn't see any extraction fans at all and they're definitely needed. It wasn't really a concern for our two night stay though.

The pod and the bedroom area was cosy, quiet, and clean. There were more space than I expected in the pod and I could sit up and move around without feeling claustrophobic. Other guests were respectful. Walking distance to the cbd/town, tamar river and some attractions nearby. A good Japanese dining place right next to the Inn.

Bathroom can be a bit more clean but generally tolerable. No onsite parking (available to park at carparks, street parking nearby but none of them are 24 hours). There were flies around the bins in the kitchen (might be worth considering moving the bins to outdoor)

Free food section in the kitchen was a really good idea- it meant that any food travellers can’t take back, but are still ok to use, can be used by others still staying in the pod inn. Food waste is reduced here :) Labelling facilities in the kitchen is really good too. You can ask to have your luggage left at the Pod Inn on your check-out day, which made it very handy for travelling around and exploring for the last day.

Better labelling of the coin laundry and coin dryer- easy to get them mixed and then unable to refund. I would recommend if you go in, to go in with some earplugs, just in case the sleepers around you snore. wear sandals or thongs inside the female shower rooms. The walls could use a rewashing- there was some grease marks on the walls. Would like a sleeping light that is more dim than the current lowest reading light. If you are claustrophobic, it may feel uncomfortable for you- booking a double may help. This was from a friend who is claustrophobic and could not sleep well being in a single bed pod. Found it helpful to place all my smaller bags in a large plastic bag to help keep the pod cleaner for myself.

Trendy communal living. Location is excellent with plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. Place is clean though it really depends on who u will be co living together. Space pod interior is nice though TV is missing in there. Each pod comes with a locker so that u can store.your belonging.. shower is great and internet is blazing fast. There is a common eating space for boiling and microwave but no cooking allowed which is fine. The security is good with multiple locks and safety..make you feel pretty confident. Most importantly it's very affordable.

The pods are not sound insulated, light sleepers will have a hard time with pple talking in the background. Parking is not exactly next door , the most affordable one is at bathurst street which is 5mins..so loading and unloading luaggages is a hassle

Affordable option for short stay in Laucenston. Nice experience with capsule hotel, very quiet, clean and safe option, really, Kitchen and dining room was very nice, they have restaurant door to door with, if i rememeber well, Japanese food.

They don't have parking so you need to walk some distance with you baggage from closest parking. And kind of not so clear information about the payment for parking (Bathurst street) as well. Parking is free after 5.00 pm till 8. am (i didn't know that before). I guess now they coreccted that info.

Great hostel overall and we enjoyed our stay. Pods are a great idea, giving more privacy than many other hostels. Kitchen area was large and inviting. Also 5% off at neighbouring restaurant. Bathroom area was ok, nicest thing were the solo showers with an enclosed area to leave towel and clothes.

Cleanliness could be improved here and there, some technical things in the pod did not work such as one usb charging slot (one out of two with no other power supply), door to sleeping area was quite loud - could be improved by silent closing door or similar

One Key card access to all doors The pods are great 👍 very private very dark for good sleep. The same key card for the backpack locker witch is very good Pods and all facilities very clean every day! Quite futuristic and adjustable fan aircon in each pod also usb port for changing in pod 👍

Pods pritty squeaky like most backpacker bunkbeds Plus the Pod slide doors are reasonably noisy when other backpackers are not very gentle or considering the time of day so the ear plugs from reception are well recommended and much appreciated 👍 Be careful of the steps up into the Pods as thay have plastic covers over the step witch some are split broken and I did cut my knee just climbing into bed

Once we became familiar with the pod, we liked the lighting and knowing how the cards helped access power, entry and security of putting our belongings away. As an older couple we valued having a pod closer to the ground that we didn't need to climb to the top especially as we arrived very late.

As it was our first time we didn't like not knowing how to access the pod or how to use the features inside such as not knowing how to turn on power, how to use the Tv feature, how to adjust the lights brightness etc or how to access the lockers. We depended on people who were awake and walking around asking for their support. We weren't aware when collecting the keycards from the box upon arrival that after putting the code in, we needed to twist the knob to access the cards and we didn't know how to enter into the building via the secured gate. A man who walked outside for a cigarette who was staying at the hotel was able to explain what we needed to do.

Pod Inns polite & friendly owner Alex & his staff are very accommodating, informative, understanding of guests requirements & handle every situation swiftly & respectfully. Great location if working in or around the city of Launceston or travelling Northern Tasmania, close to a diverse range of restaurants & takeaway, however the Pods own restaurant Gatso is defiantly my first choice, the ramen is amazing & very well priced. The Pods are clean, well maintained & comfortable, personally i slept well without being woken by other guests or the noise of the city. Highly recommend staying at the Pod Inn, Thank you Pod Inn Team.

First time to try a pod hotel & it was an interesting experience. I felt like I was in a scifi movie with the room/pod setup which is so cool! The beddings were clean & new-ish. Liked that everything was by secure card accessible by tap. I didn't see the staff but they texted/emailed all details needed so it was great.

Could have a short note how to workout the buttons on the pod for newbies like me. Kitchen only 1 small fridge - not sure enough for all the travellers.
