A lovely period property, it was a privilege to be able to stay there and learn about its history. Comfortable and clean. Friendly hosts. Enjoyed the additional communal areas to relax in and soak up the old world ambiance.

$40 for breakfast exceeds what top hotels charge, so we didn’t opt in. It would have been reasonable for a toaster or some basic provisions to have been supplied so we could prepare a basic breakfast (cereal, toast) in our room. A slice of toast or pastry with a piece of fruit would have gone a long way to make this accommodation a place we would stay at again.

What made our stay that much more enjoyable was the welcome we received from our host Simone, who went out of her way to walk us through their wonderfully restored and beautifully decorated mansion.

The only aspect of our stay that we did not like, was the prospect of having to move out the next morning after a short overnight stay, due to our tight travelling schedule.

Location good The whole property tastefully decorated and maintained Atmosphere

The fact that rooms werent serviced between days which meant that had to seek out extra tbags etc. Not enough milk to last the two days of our stay. Only tea bags available were of a herbal nature, and had to ask for English Breakfast Difficult to contact staff ( although they did encourage contact via sms) We were booked to arrive by 1400 but arrived at 1315 and we rang the number provided to be told that access would not be available until 1400. We understood that we may not actually be in our room before 1400, however given the size and type of the facility, i would have thought that some access to a lounge area would have been possible and at least we could have booked in. Difficult to find 'fill in activity' on a particularly nasty rainy day with heavy traffic.

The location of Langley Estate was pretty good as it was in the main road into Bendigo (4kms). The accommodation was amazing! Beautiful building and large, comfortable bedrooms and excellent bathroom facilities.

Langley Estate is not what you would call a true B&B. Breakfast is only available (at an additional cost) if there are 4 or more of you staying and you give them 48 hours notice. With Bendigo so near this wasn't a problem for us as each day we easily found delightful places for breakfast.

The property is a beautiful Victorian house (mansion) that is furnished in its original grand style and maintained beautifully. The owners live on site and are excellent hosts. They made us feel like house guests rather than customers and invited us to share the beautifully appointed living rooms and lounges. There was a classical music concert going on when we arrived, which was followed by a Champagne reception. We were invited to join the reception at no additional cost. Certainly not your average B&B or Motel.

A unique property showing how wealthy people would have lived in a grand home in days gone by . We live in a historical home and typically they can be cold in winter. But from the moment you step inside this home is warm ( literally) and inviting. You can utilise the front sitting room anytime of the day or night . And there is a second living room up stairs . Our bedroom was large and well appointed . Simone gave us restaurant recommendations for both nights and we were really happy with those . Great to get a local opinion.

The ensuite light was permanently connected to the fan and that meant it was cold when you were in there. It would be great if that could be switched seperately. It’s a 10 minute drive into Bendigo which means you need to use your car each time

10/10!! Love the old-world charm, cleanliness, cozy and fantastic room with an excellent bed and shower. The wonderful decor throughout the property added to the experience, and Simone’s hospitality was lovely. We will definitely be back!!

There’s nothing that we did not like about our stay

Magnificant very large room with King bed. Very high ceilings. And well apponted with good off street parking. Addirional lounge/reception rooms to freely use. The owner was very friendly and helpfull and made us feel right at home

The room could have benifited from double glazing on the windows but noise not too load on the main road outside. Tv could have been bigger but ok. These matters were minor and shouldn't take away from the overall presentation

Old work ambience and charm. The gardens are lovely and in summer it would be lovely to sit out in the gardens. It is a truly beautiful property.

It is on a main road and on a Saturday night there was a lot of noise from the traffic and although my room was on a side far away I could still hear it and there is not much to be done about it other than be aware you may hear it a bit. It didn’t impact on my sleeping. It’s not walking distance to anything so you will need to drive, not an issue just something to be aware of

Most comfortable bed we have ever shared away from home. Gardens were also great to wander in the early morning. As a person who loves wood the decor was entirely to my liking.

Mainly not having the time to stay for longer. To be picky, the external door handle on the balcony is rusty. Considering the general feeling of the rest of the building it was jarring that the handle was so out of place.
