Great location for our activities in the city and easy walking from Southern Cross Station. Room was a mini apartment with a separate bedroom - spacious and well set up. We had a non river view room which looked out towards the neighbouring office building but with plenty of space and light between them and with no staff working Friday night, it felt quite private but still light and airy.

The hotel's restaurant was closed, so no breakfast on site. Their breakfast recommendations sounded great but were expensive and noisy, so we found a different place to our own taste a little further away. Fortunately we know Melb so were happy to wander around, but I think the hotel could offer some other cheaper places or get stuff in for people.

The hotel room was spacious with a well-furnished kitchenette. The sitting area was big enough for me to even do aerobic exercises while I was there. Bedroom was much smaller compared to the sitting area but still comfortable nevertheless. Housekeeping came almost everyday and did quite a good job and the room and hotel is generally really clean. There is a washer cum dryer in the room as well and you can purchase the detergent for AUD 2. The washing took about 3h(?) but it washed well and was very convenient anyway. My room was facing the back of the hotel which are the office buildings so it was quiet although I didn’t have any good views. Staff are friendly and accommodating and are helpful to tourists who may need advice and directions.

Wifi is really poor in the room. I also felt that the charging points we a little too far from the bed. The hotel looks really dated (or just out of date design choices) but it was really clean. While the hotel is at a location with potentially great views, i personally didn’t think it was the most convenient and accessible locations. You still had to walk about 10min to Southern Cross station or Filders Street station. While there are tram stop (free tram rides in that area), the hotel is situated kinda in between 2 stops. It’s not ridiculously far - it’s just at the outlines of the CBD/free tram zone, and therefore also quieter.

Great location which made getting around Melbourne very easy. Perhaps a little noisy because of the train, but we were aware of this before booking so it wasn't a problem for us. The bathroom door stop is almost in the middle of the bathroom floor and for the unsuspecting (my husband) it can be a bit dangerous (one broken toe later) so just a heads up....keep an eye out for this tiny culprit when walking around! The restaurant wasn't open while we were there so can't comment on that, except to say it wasn't an issue as we had our own food and our units kitchen facilities were great. I would stay here again.

Clean apartment, roomy for couple plus 2 kids. Well-stocked kitchen with full-sized fridge, oven, cooktop. Daily housekeeping, toiletries replaced so no need to pack any! Pool was good (but prob bit small if lots of people using - but we had to ourselves on weekday). Great soundproofing to bedroom - not so much to rest of apartment (if you have anyone sleeping on sofa couch, which was comfy). 2 big TVs. The bed was comfy.

Tumble dryer (combo with washing machine) did not dry clothes fully, we had to use public laundry on 5th floor of hotel with coins. No streaming on TVs, although TV in lounge had blue ray player.

What a fabulous weekend in clarion! I enjoyed it, and was definitely a contributing factor. Everything about this suites oozes sophistication and class. Check-in was seamless, and after being shown to my room I noticed the bathroom doesn't have a bathtub and had a stand-walk shower in it. The reception staff manager was so professional and understanding and immediately found me a new room, upgrading me to a deluxe bigger with an amazing panorama view. This was not expected at all but it certainly did make me feel special and I really appreciated the gesture.

Great location, comfortable enough if a little 'soul-less'. Staff were helpful and the room was quiet and felt 'private'. The bed was very firm, which I don't like, but it wasn't a poor quality mattress. The location is very convenient - in the Melbourne CBD but not close to traffic or street noise. Also a very short work to the river and southbank. Parking on site was very convenient.

Nothing to complain about really, it's an unremarkable sort of place but if you need a simple base for Melbourne exploring or for a work trip, it's good. The restaurant was closed, so no room service, but they allow uber eats deliveries.

Nice location, clean with all amenities. The staff was welcoming, polite, helpful and always smiling. The room was good sized with all amenities. The laundry room was in the common area with coin operated washing machines. Full kitchenette in a small enclosed area was a very clever design The wash basin was outside so two people can get dressed fast. Nice views from the room. Yarra river was just across the street...most interesting places within walking distance. Coles super market was within less than 7 minutes walk. Nicely air conditioned with fresh air in the room.

Could include one tap and a shelf in the bathroom to keep all clients' amenities like deodarant, shampoo and conditioner, talcum powder etc

The location was great, just across the rail lines to all the restaurants. Loved watching all the trains going past, bit noisey but so different from what we're used to which makes it that much more interesting and fun. The suite was a good size, plenty of room, nice balcony to watch the night lights coming on and the fire flares going off across the river. Staff were very helpful organising a taxi for us to the airport and a good location for a taxi stop - some places in the city are not good for taxi pickups.

The iron was dirty on the bottom and left bad marks on my shirt, I let reception know and they were most apologetic and said they would sort it out. The shower was in the bath and had a fold out sort of door which made it difficult to be able to turn the shower on without water going everywhere.

We have stayed here once before overnight and were very impressed with the location, cleanliness and service also the studio appartment was ideal with a great view. We decided to stay again this week for my husbands 60th birthday and once again where not disappointed. They upgraded our appartment to one with a king size bed and this too was extremely comfortable and the view was amazing. As an added touch, they included a note on arrival wishing him a very happy birthday and left a bottle of champayne for us in the fridge. Very happy with our stay and will return. We chose a river view room and were impressed by the size of the room and the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows in the living and bedroom! We had a great view across the river towards Crown Casino, watching the gas flames each hour, and loved seeing the hot-air balloons floating above the MCG in the early morning. The kitchen was huge and had all we needed and the bed was so comfortable and warm on a cold winter night. Shower pressure, even during peak hours was great. The staff was fabulous -so friendly, welcoming, and funny. Southern Cross Station and lots of food options were close by and having a tram stop 100m up the road was a bonus. We will absolutely be back and look forward to the renovations at the restaurant being completed so we can give it a try. It looked lovely already!

The towels needed to dry after showering late morning and prior to being used again before an evening function, but the dryer (washer/dryer combo) was on for an hour but they didn't dry much. Only a small thing, everything else was great.
