It’s position

Disappointing that they advertise having a stove, but there were no kitchen utensils to use to cook with, plus the fridge was tiny , no room to put much at all especially being near the Victoria market we were going to buy some nice foodstuffs to bring home but couldn’t, plus not even a freezer in it and no ice to add to a drink .

We have stayed here 3 times now. Disappointed that we weren't informed then buffet breakfast wouldn't be available. Also don't recommend ordering from downstairs Cafe. My Family & I ordered toasties & mozzarella sticks for a quick lunch. We waited almost 30mins for our toasties, my husband, my son & I had finished them & our Daughters mozzarella sticks were forgotten. Then they still charged me for them & ended up delivering them to our room 45mins later!? Not good enough. Honestly the last time we stayed the food took FOREVER as well.

Loved the view, the room was a good size, bed was comfortable and location was close to places we explored in the cbd. Frontdesk was very friendly and warm. We were taken in earlier than the usual check-in time, we appreciate that a lot!

Some parts of the room weren't fully cleaned - e.g. the bin in the bathroom was not emptied with a small amount of rubbish. The carpet along the hallways, I presume, was new. However, it wasn't neatly done and there was a lot of excess carpet curling up going into the rooms, sometimes blocking the door from completely closing. Otherwise, everything else was great!

The Hotel was lovely, and interesting. It was clean with a good size room. The gentleman in the caffe was friendly. Nice setting. Nice decore.

It's hard not to like this hotel, however the hotel menue is lacking. Nearly all the foods excluding muesli were bread/dough based food. There were no egg options and little hearty or balance meal options. They items available were not very inventive, i.e. with the avocado on rye you could add extras like fetta, egg, spinish etc. The drink I had (blended fruit drink) was room temp, not cold.

Amazing location! We stayed the NYE and watched the fireworks from our balcony. The Coltrane room was great, spacious bed (there is another bed available by the way). The aircon works well. The kitchen has most things but not for full cooking. I particularly want to thank Jada at the reception. I complained about the fact that I got a different room (the picture of the balcony was different). Jada was extremely professional. She explained that the picture was different and offered a complementary bottle of wine. I actually feel so bad about complaining because the room was perfect for the NY stay as it looks on to the Flagstaff gardens.

The pictures have to be accurate. The fridge in the kitchen is tiny. There is almost no point in booking an apartment with a kitchen because you will have no space to store your food in.

First of all when we arrived we were greeted at the front desk very warmly. We ended up going to our room and found it had a spectacular view overlooking the city. The view changed as the daytime changed to night and I found it hard to say which I loved the most. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was it's location, near restaurants, a park, the Museum, and Queen Victoria Market, above all, right above the Birds Basement. We had fantastic seats to two shows on two consecutive nights. We loved dinner there and both shows were fantastic. We loved everything about these two evenings. When the show was over, take the elevator back to your room.

Amazing location and sunset view. Everything was walking distance (but I walk a lot so 40 minutes is a walking distance for me), very good food, spacious nice room. Bathroom was very well equipped. Price was great for what you get. Loved the washing machine in the room. I could leave the hotel with all clean clothes in my suitcase.

If I had to say something negative, it could be a little cleaner, there is a carpet floor so I would expect it to be vacuumed properly.
