Room service at midnight and right in the centre of the city. Lovely buffet breakfast with exceptional coffee.

We were told both mornings that we didn’t have breakfast as part of our package and we had to insist they check again. Both times they found our details and we paid $500 per night to include the breakfast which was clearly shown on bookings.com that it was included. Both times it was quite embarrassing and one time my 17 year old son went down for breakfast first and was turned away and told we didn’t have breakfast included. Definitely need a better system/ it was embarrassing. Not the staff members fault, they were very polite but it wasn’t a good system.

The rooms were lovely and spacious, very clean. Breakfast was fabulous with great service. We also dined one night in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

I couldn't get a basic sandwich made up which was annoying, it had to be something off their menu. Also reception check in / check out very inefficient. Had two people push in front of me on two separate occasions and the staff didn't notice / didn't care. Another guest checking out wanted and itemised account and spent 10 minutes arguing with the staff. The manager came along and sorted it out no problems.

Location is great, walking distance to lovely restaurants, cafes and shopping precinct plus close to plenty of Theatres. Breakfast was great on both mornings, staff were very friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond, providing a little birthday surprise for our girls birthdays. We loved the executive lounge, the evening canapes and drinks were very tasty and enjoyable. Would highly recommend anyone staying to go see the magic show in the hotel on Friday nights, was excellent. Will definitely return for another stay.

Very professional staff. Clean rooms and generally good facilities. Very close to city entertainment. Overall, we were very happy with our stay

There were some minor issues. Some of the features were dated/ needed replacing, e.g, air conditioning in the dining area looked dirty and pooly fitted - not a great look in an eating area. Some of the recently refurbished items showed a standard of work that was not up to the overall standard of the hotel. E.g, lights switches were replaced, but holes in the walls behind them were not repaired. There were also some issues with tiling and other fittings. These issues were more related to poor quality work by trades people making repairs rather than to the quality of the hotel. The hotel appeared to be making good efforts to update and improve facilities.

The main restaurant was being renovated and the supporting restaurant was struggling to provide premium service. Breakfast felt shambolic and tbh as a single person i felt overlooked and under serviced by staff in the restaurant. Finally, when i come to Melbourne I expect to walk into any hotel restaurant and be able to order a cocktail. Not having a bar person able to prepare cocktails at this kind of hotel is kind of inexcusable.

I absolutely loved my stay at Marriott Bonvoy in Melbourne. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was the best buffet I have ever had. Staff are extremely friendly and eager to make your stay wonderful. There was beautiful orange and cranberry punch available free for guests in the foyer, along with water and champagne. I will definitely stay again.

The staff at Melbourne Marriot were very friendly and we even got a glass of wine on arrival and our room was not supposed to be ready till 3pm but was ready on arrival. The ordering of taxis from reception was a good idea. The Concierge was very helpful with our luggage

Everything about the hotel was perfect. The staff were very nice and nothing was a trouble for the staff.

The location was brilliant, just a few steps from the theatre area and the service was excellent. He restaurant was also very good, nice food and excellent friendly service

Although our room was very nice- clean and light airy however the room itself was quite cool even after bumping up the AC. The bedcovers were very thin and did not provide any extra warmth with no extra covering located in the room

We really enjoyed the breakfast. Good selection. The eggs chef was lovely and my omelette was absolutely delicious. My husband went to order from him but there was a queue so he chose from the buffet. When the chef came over to bring me my omelette he offered to make my husband something as he had noticed him leave the queue. We were both impressed and grateful. The service was fantastic! Welcome drink on arrival and reception upgraded our room as it was our 20th wedding anniversary. Much appreciated!

The bed was absolutely amazing so comfortable the best hotel bed I've ever slept in, everything was very very clean and prime location for everything! We will be back. The pool was great and family friendly. The staff were all lovely and professional.

The room was very very hot and we had issues with the aircon (heating is central and can't be controlled so need to use aircon) the staff were amazing however and gave us discount and complimentary breakfast as an apology
