Our room was very comfortable, huge bathroom, quiet and with great views. The staff were very helpful and understanding. The location was perfect, two main tram lines at either end of the street and walking distance to the main shopping area. Would absolutely recommend this place to stay.

While the pool was very clean and inviting, the outside area could have been a bit more presentable, perhaps some plants to soften the look otherwise it's all concrete, pictures on Booking.com show plants outside of the pool????

All of the staff were lovely, they told us places to visit and to go see which made our trip really good. The rooms were good including all of the amenities. Breakfast and coffee downstairs was so good I had to keep going back for seconds. The hotel is in a perfect location being right next to China Town, and between two of the major stations (Melbourne Metro, and Parliament Station), with access to plenty of trams. We really enjoyed our first time in Melbourne staying at Mantra, and will definitely stay here again when we eventually do come back.

Perfect location and staff were friendly and accommodating. It was clean and the cleaning staff were lovely. Apartment was lovely and spacious. It had a stove and had an oven. The apartment didn’t have a Microwave unfortunately ..But overall everything was lovely. Our phone in the room didn’t work.. we told reception and they said Telstra was going to fix it in 2 days.. We were there for 6days but it wasn’t fixed. We mentioned it again when we checked out so hopefully it would be fixed before the next person had that apartment.

A separate shower would have been good instead of having it in the bathtub.

The staff were lovely and always helped answer questions about getting around etc. The location was fabulous, an easy walk to just about everything and trams close by as well. One street from China town (lots of restaurants), a 5 minute walk to Her Majesty's Theatre, there's a Woolworths opposite the theatre and a few 7-elevens closer by as well. I shared a two bedroom apartment with my brother, plenty of room

I wasn't told I need to "order" room service the night before so didn't get clean towels etc. Not a big deal but I should have been informed. The pool area is lovely, especially with the roof overhead. It could do with a bit of a clean though.

I liked the little touch of a complimentary bottle of bubbles, and a welcome back card. The hotel was nice and central, quiet despite being next to china town over Chinese new year. The staff were friendly and helpful when I had a query. The room had a lounge, dining and kitchen areas, so the size of the room we had was great plus a full length balcony that we could access from the lounge and the bedroom. Loved our stay.

I split the beds into two singles and had to re-arrange the linen to cover both. Luckily there was 1 blanket in the cupboard. This was the only down side as the bedding didn’t really cover correctly. I could have called reception so this is equally my issue for not doing that.

I loved the location and the view in my room was great. I loved that I could open the window and let fresh air in. It was a spacious room for a solo traveller and I was happy with that as in the photo's I thought it would be smaller.

The fridge froze my cold drink and my takeaway salad for the next day. The plates (crockery) were in a cupboard that was too high for me to easily access. I was attracted to the Mantra having a pool and I would have really liked to use it but in the end didn't as it always seemed busy and the gym looking over it was off-putting for me.

The apartment was perfectly sizable. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Couch was super cosy.

With sound proofing we could still hear people's conversations and screaming from patrons leaving the restaurants and bars down on the street even though we were on level 13. On the balcony there was no table and chair to sit and enjoy a tea or coffee in the morning. The coffee machine provided was great but it did not have any option for milk so it was pointless. There were other people's pubic hair in the bath and the floor in the bathroom had urine underneath the toilet which I was grossed out with. The TVs were not very clear and needed to be updated for high def viewing.

Location, lovely smell when you walk in! Great breakfast and facilities.

No issues with the property itself, just the lack of towels and face cloths in room. We were staying for 7 nights and only had 1 towel each and 1 face cloth to share. Would have been easier to already have at least 2 towels each and a face cloth each on arrival instead of having to request them. I would expect 1 towel each for an overnight or 2 night stay.

We found the location ideal for our purposes, close to trams, restaurants, shopping. The staff were welcoming, friendly and always helpful. Brekkie had a good choice of foods, and was more than expected. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.

We were in a studio room and when the room was serviced each day the towels were changed and bins emptied only. We felt with a five day stay the floor should have been vacuumed at least once in that time and the bed made if we happen to leave it unmade.

Very nice and clean, comfortable rooms all staff we came in contact with were gracious and helpful, the car parking was easy. and the location is perfect for shows and shopping while in Melbourne

We were unlucky to be trapped in the lift for 40 Minutes with 5 other people ( 7 in total ) while the rescue /Fire brigade came, and opened the door. We had to inform reception of our situation and keep phoning back to get up dates. I think their is room for some emergency training and set procedures. No one asked how many people were in the lift or our names etc. Lucky everybody was ok and not too stressed with the ordeal. When we informed reception we were involved they replied or that was you. The manager did arrange for free breakfast. ,
