Location

The staff management of the prepayment was up to their respective decision. My boss at the time needed the help for payment of the intended Work situation. And the fact was NO RESPECTIVE INITIATION OF ANYTHING ELSE but to ignore my bosses regards and request that He was unable to be able to make remote payment for such invoice to the hotel with his business credit card!! So my wife and I had to make payment to the hotel directly on the day! My wife and I were reluctant to do so, due to the hotel having the wrong Attitude regards to the normal way of rejected remote business practice.

Hotel had a good feel about it. A very friendly welcome on arrival. The room was clean and comfortable with a fabulous bed. The bar was lovely with a nice range of drinks and cocktails and we enjoyed a cocktail in a quiet little corner of the bar after going to a show. Breakfast next morning was fantastic. So much to choose from!

The bathroom was disappointing. Not enough room for toiletries etc. Shower was built up with a small panel of glass which meant water splashed out on the floor and over the toilet. I stubbed my toe on the built up shower during the night on a dark walk to the toilet.

Fantastic place to stay, I’ll definitely be cooking there again if I’m ever in Melbourne. Loved the use of the pool! And fantastic deal for the room, I’ve told many people about it. Cheers.

The check in took some time and it wasn’t a very friendly or welcoming check in, kind of felt like I was more of a hassle for them than a guest. Not from all staff but just who served me at the counter. A smoother process checking in would be great. Also, I noticed that the security fee and cost for the room were made in two seperate payments. I was curious as to why that wasn’t just one total sum - given that I’d receive the security “bond” later. Seemed odd making two seperate payments there instead of just one. Apart from this it was a great experience and I’d love to come back. Check out was nice and simple, just the check in I felt could be smoother. Thank you.

I love the location of the hotel. Very central, easy to get around and really close to Chinatown and Fitzroy area which have great food and nightlife. The room was very clean and the facilities were good. The bed was very big and comfy. Loved the rooftop pool ! It was awesome. The staff were super friendly, and extremely accommodating. The staff went out of their way to help me retrieve a birthday cake we'd left behind. Overall I would stay here again. The location is just perfect for visiting Melbourne

The view from my room wasn't great. I was excited to be on the top floor thinking I'd have a nice view but it wasn't great. The floor I was on looked a little bit unfinished, not sure if there were renovations' happening, but the vibe from when you first walk in, did not match the vibe when I got out of the lift. Also there wasn't a lot of seating for the pool area. Only 10 deck chairs, so some people had to sit on the ground

Great location - close to Chinatown, Comedy Theatre, and lots of bars/restaurants. Friendly staff. Room was in a good spot 1007 - a bit back from the road, so it was not affected by traffic noise but had an OK outlook and a mini balcony. The bathroom was well appointed and had really lovely toiletries. Good rooftop pool. Nice selection of tea in room and chilled water in the fridge. Breakfast was very good. Cute selection of decorative salt and pepper pots on each table - all different - nice touch as it made it different from a bland restaurant setting! One lift was out of order, but there was very good signage to the alternative lifts!

Minor things: 1) Bathroom tap didn't reach over the sink very much. Maybe design won over practicality? 2) Bed/pillows could have been more supportive for me. I woke up a bit sore. Hubby was fine, though, so it could just be me!

The location, facilities & staff were excellent. Loved the convenience of room service & the downstairs bar & restaurant. The staff were super friendly & I felt welcome.

It is clearly an older property, with a few of the facilities under repair while I was there (just bad timing, nothing permanent). The only real negatives were in the bathroom - toilet quite cramped where it was positioned & the tap over the sink was not a good choice, as it was stuck to 1 corner & didn’t reach into the sink properly. Other than that, I would be happy to stay there again!!

check in was friendly and quick. Bed and room size was bigger than other hotels that Ive stayed in the $150 - $200 price range.

bit musty smell in the hallways of floor 9. maybe even stale cigarette smoke? couldnt tell but not quite right. Elevator / Lift was extremely slow and one lift out of commission. it took way too long to get between room and lobby. there were no sausages or pancakes at the at the buffet breakfast, but these were pictured in the advertising.

The location is perfect for me as I work very closely. The staff at the counter were very friendly, especially the lady on the counter when I checked in. My mobile internet was not working at the time and she offered me access to the Wi-Fi so I was able to connect.

I was overall very happy, but if I had to say something the power point in the room that I went to use for the iron was broken and hanging out of the wall. It was not a big issue as there were other points I could use.

We stay here often as it is well located to public transport, Melbourne city centre and easy to get around town. The building has been undergoing renovations and this is still ongoing so the lifts are slower than usual but other than that the staff are accommodating, friendly and helpful. Parking is nearby and discounted with hotel stamp on your park ticket (half price). Breakfast is ok, it's nothing out of the ordinary and I certainly wouldn't pay $29 each for it but the offering is simple and plentiful. Our room was spacious (King corner room 806), comfortable and well appointed -( I love the fluffy bathrobes). Will stay again.

Very comfortable and new bathroom, close to convenience stores and supermarket, public transport a block away. Would stay there again and I think that is the acid test. Close to theatres and an excellent array of shops being right in the cbd. Cons town only a few minutes away.

Hard to fault but the step up shower recess has no hand rail to step down when finished showering which is potentially dangerous for a slip or fall. The height of the platforms shower recess is a full tile in height. Don’t recall seeing a safe in the room which is concerning,
