We loved the rooms as they had a little lounge as well as the bedrooms. Having a large group, it is often difficult to have us all accommodated without lots of rooms, however, Rydges were wonderful in suggesting this configuration and room type as well as ensuring both our rooms were next to each other. We enjoyed the included breakfast as well as any assistance in getting a cab or uber from right out the front to head to anywhere we needed to go.

We could have done with a later check out, however we understand this is due to the next lot of bookings. We were fortunately able to leave our luggage behind reception in order that we could go to lunch and then return closer to our arranged lift time to the airport.

Beautiful modern hotel with comfortable rooms, a beautiful lobby area and even a cute rooftop pool area. We stayed in the deluxe king corner room and there’s a beautiful bathtub, great shower, and very comfy beds. Plus perfect location with plenty of great places to eat around there. Even though you can easily check in yourself at the kiosks in the lobby there are so many helpful staff and they are seriously lovely.

No negatives. Only thing I would say is that the pool is pretty chilly but as we were there on a hot day it was perfect. Would be great to have some cups up near the pool to grab some water.

The deluxe king room was stunning, the view of the cathedral was simply amazing. The bath, shower and facilities of the hotel were beyond our expectations! The effort that the hotel staff went to to accommodate our requests and make us feel special were so thoughtful and appreciated. Ebony Mann and the customer experience liaison, was simply exceptional in every way. She made sure our stay ticked every box and went the extra mile to make our celebration a special one!

Just that we couldn't control the AC. I think it's great to ensure the hotel cuts down on its emissions however it would be nice to have the option. Sooooo minor!

Welcoming lobby. Clean & comfy rooms. Friendly & approachable staff members. As a resident of non-English speaking background, even I actually find it difficult to communicate with staff members at most times as they do not speak fluent English without heavy accents (difficult to understand & communicate [other hotels I checked before booking at Rydges]). So it was a relief to find some staff who actually speak English that is easier to communicate with.

Wish there was an Iron to iron my clothes in my room. Couldn't find one anyways. Otherwise, it was all very good.

it was close to the theatre and city centre (reasons for my trip). The staff were great and the room was very clean and comfortable. a pity the gym was out of action and I believe the pool wasn’t heated so I couldn’t use that which was disappointing. the complimentary wine/beverage for Bossleys was nice and I did end up buying a meal there.

see above regarding fitness facilities. Also the prices for the minibar and foods in the room were pretty expensive - if they had been cheaper I would have purchased more of them instead of buying stuff from local IGA and 7 Eleven. plus it’s about time hotels started providing low fat UHT milk for tea/coffee as well as high fat 🙁

The location was conveniently connected to the airport via Skybus and short tram trip up Bourke St. Also close to great shopping, dining and theatres. Room was spacious and decor modern. Well-appointed with block out blinds, comfortable beds, soft towels and generous toiletries. Staff professional and friendly. Online check out option was efficient.

Mandatory credit card surcharges are an unnecessary aggravation. Room service was a bit disappointing - wasn't expecting coffee to be served in a takeway cup. Too many 'fancy' options on the breakfast menu for which execution was lacking. Suggest including more basic options that are easy to do well.

Fabulous stay! Staff were friendly. The beds & pillows were some of the best we've slept in. Location was great - close to trams, trains and walking distance to great restaurants. Amazing views from the rooftop pool. Refurbishment is just beautiful! Highly recommend

We received our room service coffees in takeaway cups, rather than actual cups. Check out process is a little clunky, with receiving an email to checkout 3 hours prior to the checkout but unable to select your checkout time & being automatically checked out early.

the boys in the tailored greys on Sunday nights, the dress well they presented well and they were all super accommodating. This is the first time I've been to this place. I wasn't a huge fan of the room size,   Great facility and the minibar. The team even offered me a free drink and made sure I felt comfortable to the whole process of checking in and accidentally sleeping in past check out. Oops sorry guys and thank you again for your help. I believe I'm not the easiest client to handle I'm quite clumsy and forgetful sometimes haha.  The self check-in system is way more efficient  than most places have been somehow I still couldn't manage to check in myself but that's a me problem not you guys appreciate the effort and I will hopefully see you as soon

I didn't like that. I was late for checkout and I was wearing one sock, but I didn't feel too phased because the Monday morning team were just as accommodating great experience all round.

The customer service was 10/10, I was not sure if I could go for the night as I was unwell, however I was reassured I could stay, we ordered room service, relaxed in our lovely room with complimentary wine and choccies, I felt very special on my birthday night, great breakfast buffet in morning and late check out, everything was wonderful. Beautiful bed, lovely bathroom with rainfall shower. Thank you Ebony 😊

We were on floor 22, which was a bit noisy at night, not sure what the whirring noise was, bring ear plugs if you dislike noise at night for sleep.

Honestly it couldn’t of been a better experience at Rydges. I took my partner away for a night in the city centre for our anniversary and I was assisted by Ebony Mann, the customer experience manager at Rydges. Ebony pulled out all the stops to making our stay as special and as memorable as possible. Ebony really went the extra mile when she didn’t have to, it goes to show how much she has a passion for making anyone’s stay exceptional. Rydges Melbourne are very lucky to have Ebony on their team!
