Excellent location for exploring numerous eateries, culture and cafes of Fitzroy and surrounding areas. Room was clean and housekeeping staff attentive and friendly.

Our room included a kitchen. The dishwasher is very old and should be replaced. Basement car parking end-to-end double car parks are not ideal but they cannot change the car park layout. We avoided parking in those spaces whenever possible. You can get stuck in those car parks if the other vehicle does not move. This is not good if you have an early departure and reception is not open to move the other vehicle.

Excellent location with wonderful restaurants nearby. Nice to have glasses, crockery and cutlery for drinks and light snacks in my room and also a selection of wine to buy in the hotel. The reverse cycle air condition was very welcome. The TV was clear with an excellent selection of viewing channels. The hotel was also very quiet. I appreciated not being disturbed by noisy guests.

The hotel's chip dispensing machine in the basement was out of order. I would have liked a full bath, but I understand that the two bedroom suites which have a full bath are very much more expensive.

The location was fantastic. It was central to where we were going. There was plenty of public transportation available to use which we utilised, therefore leaving the car in the garage, which suited us immensely.

The only thing that we didn't like was the air-conditioning. Because there was a snorer with us, one of the bedroom doors was closed, which made the room very stuffy. BUT, this will not deter us from recommending or using the Melbourne Metropole Central again.

This hotel is clean, comfortable and safe. I have stayed with my family and as a solo traveller and felt so safe. I had to stay here due to my husband having to have major cancer surgery at the St Vincent’s hospital and the whole team made me feel comfortable and cared for. They were so sympathetic and supportive to the situation I was going through and making sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Everyone was so kind and polite and always greeted you with a smile. The facilities were clean, quiet, comfortable and modern and a great location with easy access to all you need to see and do in the city. I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I speak too. Thank you all so much for the great experience.

This was my second stay. First was when my hubby was at St Vincent's during a lockdown, so I didn't get the best feel for the area at that time. The location is brilliant. Close to dining of all needs and a number of great little places for a quiet drink or 2. Lots of interesting shops to do some shopping in. The staff are accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. Amenities in the room were great, and the bed was comfortable and perfect for me. It's a little dated but clean and tidy and provided all that we needed. Would highly recommend to others.

Location was perfect for what we needed, easy to reach via train and tram. The apartment was spacious and most importantly clean. The ladies at reception were friendly, very helpful and welcoming. I had an early hospital drop-off with a lengthy waiting time until pick-up and the Hotel allowed me a late check-out, which shortened my waiting time and I was very grateful for it. If the need for a City stay arises, we will definitely stay here again.

A relatively long walk (40 minutes) to and from Southern Cross Station. The mattress was quite hard, and the TV was far too small, also quite noisy when other guests were going in and out of their rooms and up and down the metal stairs. A minor issue as well was that no face washers were provided. We ended up buying our own.

great value for location, and including secure parking and a pool. Also spacious enough for 3-4 people in a 2br apartment. Friendly staff. Tram outside front only 3 stops to the city. Easy stroll to Brunswick street eating.

Perhaps a bit dated…apartment a bit dated and dark, however the doors face into a nice courtyard area and it’s peaceful and quiet. no street views. could have done with some extra decent coffee mugs and bowls as we had 3 adults with limited supply - random small coffee cups and out of two decent sized mugs, one was chipped and cracked.

The layout of the room was as described in the description. The apartments albeit in a central location, when leaving you have to sometimes navigate past the dodgy end of Brunswick Street to get to the more vibrant end. Despite this, it was not an issue for me. Just something to be aware of. I will definitely stay here again.

Nothing that can be fixed due to the age of the property. It serves it's purpose in the price bracket that it is in. Close to trams, shops and the CBD if that's what floats your boat. Handy for pubs and coffee shops.

Very large two bedroom apartment with pool and courtyard. Hotel very secure at night. It was quiet and staff were excellent providing anything you needed. Had free underground parking.

A few blocks from free tram and a bit of a walk from downtown. One bedroom door wouldn't close and you had to walk down the courtyard to use the dryer. The washing machine was in the apt.
