The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Room service was prompt, and the breakfast was great.

There was confusion over how my stay would be charged on my credit card. I was told on arrival that I would be charged a $5 "holding fee", but I was charged the full amount of $158, as a "pending payment" . Then on leaving, I was charged the full amount again, plus my room service fees. After discussion with management, I was told that the original "holding fee" of $158 would be returned to my credit card in the next 4 business days. It would have been good to know this was going to happen in the first place.

The cleaner tidy up the room every day and the performance was beyond expectation. I used to request swapping room to make all family members living next to each other and receptionist took it seriously and tried the best and we were satisfied with it. There was a jug of jellybeans and Easter egg on the table next to the lift and it was pretty good for the family with kids. My daughter really loves that.

One of the lift was not working is not working at all during the Easter Holidays. Another lift was not working properly and we pressed both up and down buttons in our level but in most cases it did not stop at our level. Sometimes we need to wait for more than 5-10 minutes to go into the lift. If we were in a hurry we need to climb down through the stairs.

the kids will always remember the Easter lollies station near the lift. I enjoyed the spa after a day of walking around the city. my husband loved the smell of the little toiletries ‘cedar wood’. the room had a good shower and comfortable beds which were made up for us each day. close to commercial road tram station. the staff at the reception were always helpful and accommodating with any request or questions.

perhaps give the spa a good clean. we ate dinner at Hops Garden on Good Friday and I got food poisoning from the chicken wings so I was too scared to try any of their other food on offering as part of the food options available.

How wonderful to arrive at a hotel having booked the cheapest room and still be treated as though we booked the penthouse. The staff have gone above and beyond, we mentioned it was our 10 yr anniversary, I'm almost certain they upgraded our room, we found a personalised note waiting for.us in our room. Even extended our check out time for us. Clean rooms, clean facilities,.soft towels And linen, beautiful soap and shampoos etc, not to mention all the little added extras like shaving kit, and Toothbrush and etx etc. I will recommend this place to any who will listen. Thank you so much View, we will be back for a longer stay next time.

Ample space in the room with a nice separation between the bedroom and amenities areas. Bed was comfortable. Google Chromecast on the TV was a nice surprise, and shower could run fairly hot. Check-in and check-out process were easy. Location isn't exactly close to the city, but I knew where I was booking and it was close enough for my needs.

Definitely a little on the ageing side in terms of style but it's been well-maintained and the price I paid for it made sense. It doesn't seem like they clean things exceptionally well, but good enough for me to not have taken too much issue (and not enough to bring it up with reception). Location may not be super convenient for those who want instant access to the city, but it is nicely situated to easily get to areas like Prahran and South Yarra.

Everything! firstly, check in was easy. our flight got changed to an earlier time and the lovely staff let us check in early. Customer service was the best we’ve ever had anywhere! they really made an effort to make sure we were happy with everything. secondly, our room was big, clean and the bed was comfortable. we did ask for an extra couple of pillows, which was not a problem. the bed was really comfortable, the TV was huge and had chrome cast, and our bathroom ammenities were really nice. thirdly, the food! the on site restaurant is an absolute must to try. Once again, the best food we have eaten. huge compliments to the chef of wood’s restaurant. we had the 3 course meal, I won’t give anything more away as we don’t want to ruin the surprise for you. I can tell you now the price was well worth every penny. the flare and care the chef took could be seen on every dish. it really topped our whole experience off at the view hotel really well. We would definitely, absolutely be staying at the view hotel again. Thank you to all the staff, from front reception to cleaning staff. your hard work and amazing attitude towards your guests providing my husband and I with the most comfortable, easy, relaxing few days away from our daily grind, which is exactly what we needed.

Nothing really. however it’s important for o note that the view hotel is not in the heart of Melbourne, but rather a few tram stops just outside the city. the tram is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, however they have an Uber and taxi service directly out the front of the hotel.

Nice and clean hotel, cordial and welcoming staff, spacious and comfortable room, location suited our purpose, nearby tram station.

Older interior, no swimming pool (unless the one with the size as a Jacuzzi counts). Although the staff was very helpful, I felt different staff had different perspectives/solutions to the same problem. Hence, at times I needed to explain the same thing multiple times to different people. However, I won't hold that against because all of them were sincere to help and eventually they managed to reach an acceptable solution.

The room was spacious. The TV got chromecast which can be connect via the phone to watch Netflix, sport etc or anything that have chromecast. Good bathroom space too. Shower was great. The facilities is fantastic. Pool/spa and sauna on the top floor. Location was great, only about 10 mins on the tram to Melbourne. 10-15 mins walk to Prahran market. And added bonus if u love cricket, there a cricket ground in front of the hotel where u can go watch (on weekends). Also free car park for guest.

I think the room need abit more cleaning as I sneeze alot during my stay. It felt abit dusty on the blind area. Bed wasn't quite comfortable as they put the 2x single bed together to make it look like a double bed. I was supposed to get double bed.

Everything was fantastic, I love the hop garden (great coffee) the restaurant, I had steak it was cooked Perfectly absolutely amazing, as well as the lemon meringue delicious. The pools/spa were relaxing we were able to have it to ourselves for a bit was nice. We even used room service which was quick easy and staff were fantastic too. The hotel was close to everything and trams were near by. The overall service was amazing the staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely want to come back in the future.

We did have to wait a bit to get to our room, as I think they were low in housekeeping workers that day, we wait for 45 minutes but the room was very clean and had everything we needed.

Good location, very nice restaurant and bar downstairs, spacious room with a comfortable bed and very comfortable pillows. Small gym but great equipment, beautiful view from the gym/pool room. The hot and cold pools are great but a bit too much chlorine.

The tv was on the left wall from the bed, no idea how you're supposed to watch it and the channel list was poor, nothing to watch really. That being said screen mirroring was possible using a mobile phone so I guess it's okay. Sauna wasn't working and they said at the reception "sorry we forgot to tell you." Parking in tiny spots between pillars and very narrow corners doesn't give you much more comfort than parking on the street. Apparently no insulation in bedroom walls, we could hear the neighbours really well even if they weren't too loud, a bottle of wine will sort you out though.
