Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough

Absolutely one of the BEST hotels I've ever stayed at!! The rooms were incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the bathroom was large and new and clean, rooms were serviced perfectly, bed was luxiously comfortable, the location was AMAZING with plenty of bars and cafes to eat at nearby and the beautiful Scarborough Beach right across the road! There was also a Coles across the road and a pharmacy half a block away. It was an easy 20 minute drive from the Hotel into Perth CBD, driving only got tricky once into the CBD, but Perth driving is far easier than Sydney or Melbourne! The price was fantastic for what we got, I paid more money for a smaller room in Sydney for 3 nights than this Hotel for 6 nights! We are from Easterns Aust so unsure how it compares to other Perth accommodation price wise, but it was FAR cheaper than Sydney or Melbourne. The view was INCREDIBLE!! It took our breath away every time we saw it, with a beautiful view right up and down the coast line and right out to sea where we watched the sun set over the ocean every evening, honestly pay the extra and get an ocean view room, you won't regret it!! The pool was beautiful, both to swim at, look down at or just to sit beside with a little bar near the pool that served cocktails, light food and ice cream. Parking was directly under the hotel, and once paid for was really easy with numberplate recognition you just drove in and our at will. We stayed when the hotel got very busy due to a local sporting event but there were always plenty of parks and the hotel coped perfectly well with being busy. We got room service dinner delivered a couple of times and it was great, and the buffet breakfast was incredible!! Generous amd varied and delicious, definitely pay for breakfast when booking and enjoy it each morning so you can head off on adventures with a full belly! I honestly could not recommend this hotel enough!

Breakfast took over an hour and no butter or spoons to use Coffee. Wasn’t very good too much chocolate on top no sugar sent. Parking wouel be good to have valet parking as you have to come up big dates the ramp isn’t marked well and when raining you get wet to enter the hotel. Shaky advise that we can drive underneath and come up in the lift and could have trolleys to use? Or a better system Healthy options on the menu for room service would be good

The room we had was fantastic,it was on level 20 with awesome views of the ocean and the sunset. The location is right on the beach, and everything is (restaurants,cafes,bars) within easy walking distance. we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend the location for beach lovers.

The pool area really needs some shade, it has the structures there, but they are all missing a roof or shade cloth on them. Also, the pool recliners could do with cushions as they are very uncomfortable. Its unfortunately getting a bit dated and really requires some maintenance and repairs done.

The size of the room, the location to the beach, view from the room of the ocean and how convenient the shops and breakfast was

we had an ocean view room but our room was located on the corner of the building above the noisy main road and the room was not sound proof so not only could you hear the traffic all day and night, you could hear your neighbours all day and all night on both sides. No robe, slippers or any welcome homey touches/ gifts for the price you pay and the bathroom had shared soaps bolted to the wall, that the last person would have used. No complimentary drinking water on arrival and no laundry services on the weekends. the pool had a jacuzzi but it was empty and closed for maintenance

The location is unbeatable, the pool is just amazing although it was very cold this time around. We’ve been coming here since 1986 when the hotel opened and will keep coming as Scarborough has the best beachfront in Western Australia. The staff were lovely. Elena helped us to book in and was simply the most gorgeous helpful person.

To be honest, the hotel is a little tired. The outside needs a paint, and inside the furniture is scorched from misuse on bar tops and tables. The bathrooms need a good scrub too.

The location was superb. The facilities are well maintained and very clean. The beautiful swimming pool is a great option to the beach when windy. The beach bar is well organised with a good selection of food and drinks. The restaurant has a wonderful view and the windows were spotless so we could enjoy the fantastic sunsets with a perfect view. The food was greatly cooked and the staff, friendly but professional and very helpful in organising a birthday celebration.

The access to the swimming pool from people not guests at the hotel. The fact that breakfast tables could be booked by external visitors but not by the clients of the hotel.

The staff were exceptionally kind and friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming and the whole facility had a peaceful vibe. Easy access to supermarkets, cafes and the beach . Having breakfast included was so helpful when getting ready for a big day . The pool was clean and there was lots of space for people to relax poolside. Room service meals we great and arrived quickly. The views from the ocean side room was definitely worth paying a little extra for . Blackout curtains worked a treat and allowed some much needed sleep ins .

The location is great and it’s a cosy atmosphere. The view we had from our room was awesome.

The property is in need of major maintenance. The entrance has roof sheets missing in the foyer, the restaurant windows leak, our room the carpet was loose and pulling up, bathroom door was swelling due to water damage, balcony paint work is flaking and peeling, it rained and the balcony filled up with water, tv is old and out of date, remote didn’t work. You also need to make the property smoke free. Every time we walked in or out the main entrance their were guests standing to the right of the door as you enter smoking. It’s not very inviting to always smell cigarette smoke when you arrive.

I arrived 4 hours early and asked to leave my bag at reception and they gave me a key to the pool area which served some fine cocktails and lunch. I was given a room upgrade with a phenomenal view. I could watch the shore from my shower. I didn't feel the need to leave my room. I just wanted to watch the beach and the sunset. Spacious room with a super comfy bed. The settee with the chaise lounge made an excellent place to binge watch some Netflix. Oh and there was complementary wine at check-in and a guest playing the grand piano.

Our family had 5 rooms and everyone paid a significantly different price. Thursday was a very busy and warm day with the pool area full. The bar should have been open rather than having to ring for service. and staff going backwards and forwards. Seemed understaffed. Two of us paid for an extra night but staff came up to the rooms to see why we hadn't vacated. They obviously didn't have the updated info from 2 days before. Keys stopped working as a result. Could have been better management.
