If you want to stay in a hotel with a nostalgic atmosphere in Europe, this is the place. It's not modern except for the elevator, but it's nice to have one. Front desk, living room, bar and courtyard..... every facilities are very welcoming and warm feeling... and very friendly staff. Location of the hotels was great. The main train station, tour meeting point and the old town are within walking distance. Very quiet neighborhood. Bathroom (shower) was good and bed was very conformable to had a good sleep. My friend and I like this place and we will choose this hotel if we visit Salzburg again.

Even though our room was small, it was comfortable. If equipped folding table, it would be perfect. I didn't see "Don't Disturb" tag because I usually don't need to clean my room and change the towel during my 2-3 days stay.

Good location if you’re traveling to/from Salzburg via train as it’s about a 10-minute, easy walk from the station and about the same distance to the old town center. It’s also near the Mirabell palace and gardens, which are great to take a walk through in the morning. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, giving great suggestions on places to visit. There’s a nice lounge with tea and coffee and bar area that were comfortable and nice to enjoy at the the end of the day. There’s also a little garden, but I didn’t have a chance to really use it. The single room was comfortable, a little small but true to pictures. No A/C but when I was there (mid-September) an open window was all that was needed.

Breakfast had a nice selection of things, including fresh cakes. It was not included in my reservation, so I paid for it separately. At the time I stayed there, it was 20 euros, which was a little high. If you have a lot for breakfast, it may be worth it, but if you just want something small, there’s other options nearby (e.g., a bakery a couple hundred meters away).

The manager/owner(?)was very friendly and helpful! We checked in before our room was ready but there is a secure luggage storage area with access to a bathroom. Clean, comfortable and very nice room. Short walk to the altstadt and some good restaurants that have vegan/vegetarian/gluten free menus. The Heart of Joy restaurant on Franz-Josef Strasse is especially good! The hotel has a guest lounge with self-serve beer/wine/soft drinks and an amazing record collection (and a record player!). We were able to store our luggage after we checked out and spent several more hours around the town.

No complaints!

I liked the whole concept, idea and effort - the room was very small but had a corner with sofa and a small balcony. It was very cosy and nice. The idea with a living room and small garden where one could sit with glass of wine was very nice.

The bathroom was very small, minor discomfort for me personally but I guess it could be a problem for somebody big/very tall. We had a room facing the yard but even with the windows closed, the street and outside was heard. Not busy area but still ... (in another hotel on this street we stayed in before the windows were totally sound proof)

Great location next to the main train station, friendly staff, very easy to walk to nearby sights and tours. I didn't try the breakfast but the staff gave me great recommendations and tips about getting around the city. My room was small but the value for money was good.

The hotel was situated close to the main train station, in a fairly quiet neighborhood. In the day it was great to walk around but in the evening it seemed fairly desolate so I did not feel too safe getting home. That being said, I would recommend a taxi to get around. The night I stayed there, a fight broke out in the bar in a nearby building and since I had my windows open, it was difficult to fall back asleep after all the commotion.

For me, travelling from the airport and wanting to be near both the city and the train station (for onward travel to Vienna), the location of the hotel was perfect. The hotel is an 8 minute walk from the train station where the airport bus drops you off. My single room was very clean and quiet and roomy with a nice view of the street. The hotel was about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town across the river which was fine for me. The breakfast was very good quality but I did feel it was rather expensive for €20. I would definitely stay here again as overall the hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly (especially if you make the effort to speak German, which I did), and it was a good location for me.

Breakfast was excellent but felt expensive. Perhaps have options: for €10 you get bread and jam, coffee and an egg. For €20 you get the whole buffet breakfast. I don’t eat a lot so I felt I was subsiding those people who do eat a lot!

The room was comfortable and cozy. The hotel has good accessibilty, quite close to the bus station and the train station too, less than a km. The breakfast was good too. We were looking for gluten free options and to our surprise and amazement they had numerous options. In fact this made our stay quite comfortable and happy.

The hotel room did not have water bottles and kettle. Having them could give a little better experience. Especially when your on holidays, you would love to have bed tea! The staffs however were quite flexible. They did provide kettle and cups on request later.

Very convenient for station , restaurants , cafes Mirabelle palace - quiet at night Very clean - staff very helpful - environmentally conscious - nice lounge area with free team and coffee and peaceful courtyard

One of the rooms we had wasn’t suitable for someone with limited mobility as there was a small step to the bathroom - potentially dangerous - hotel needs to look at this please

This hotel is such a gem! Quiet, yet walk out of the door and you stumble right into the city center. The hotel takes absolutely zero shortcuts on service or making their guests comfortable. The breakfast has a large selection with in-house frehsly baked goods every morning. The downstairs 'living room/ library' holds a large collection of classic literature and photo books of Salzburg and the region. We've stayed at much more expensive hotels that didn't bother providing half the service for their guests. We will definitely be back and make this out go-to in Salzburg!

We really enjoyed the location of the hotel since the 15 minutes walk to the old town leads through the Mirabell Castle&Gardens, one of the main attractions. So you will “have to” walk through the beautiful park in the morning and then in the evening. That was delightful! We really liked the modern bathroom and the comfy sheets. The lounge is also very typical and cozy. We had good cocktails with an amazing sunset view at Imlauer Sky Bar just around the corner.

The staff was very kind but when we asked for a small breakfast option (e.g. coffee to go and pastry) they couldn’t come up with a solution. We didn’t want to have the whole brunch buffet which was inconvenient for us and a bit too pricey (20€) since we had a reservation in a restaurant for lunch. That’ s a pity! So we went to Cup&Cino, a cafe right in front of the hotel which was also very good.
