Hotel IMLAUER & Bräu

The hotel is very close to the main train station, only about 5-10 minutes on foot. The old city is also easily reachable, a 15 minute walk and you are there, but plenty of buses stop in the street as well. Our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom is also big and well equipped. Beds were comfortable and there was no noise coming from the train station. We had breakfast included and it was delicious, one of the best and widest selections I ever had in hotels. Staff was nice too, and you get a voucher for the restaurant if you don’t ask for cleaning every day.

There was no problems, maybe the pillows were too soft.

As a guest of the hotel it would of been nice to be able to go to the bar for an evening drink or even have a coffee, but unfortunately you have to line up outside with others wanting a table for dinner and wait to be seated.

Central location, close to train station and historical centre. Comfortable beds and good WiFi.

Room was facing railway and one could hear the trains passing but they weren't too loud.

Very good value for money. Staff were for the most part very friendly and helpful. Our request for quiet rooms next door to each was met. Rooms were clean, nicely presented and spacious for the money. There was an option to have rooms cleaned less and be given a voucher for a drink downstairs which we took advantage of. The hotel has a lovely beer garden - but be aware it does close at 11pm on the dot. We did not eat at the restaurant but it always looked very popular in the evenings. Location is pretty good too - could be closer to the old town but only a 15 minute walk over the bridge. The Mirabell Palace, train/ coach station and main tour operators are all 5/10 minutes away.

the location is near by the downtown and i think it is 15 min by walking.. the staff were 👍👍

breakfast should be better and the heater(for the clothes in the bath) was not woking

The family room was decently sized for our group of two adults and two children. I was thankful that the staff had made up the sofa bed with linens before our arrival, so it was already for weary transatlantic travelers to sleep in. The sofa bed mattress was easily the most comfortable sofa bed I have ever experienced and actually more comfortable than the regular mattress in the room (which itself was fine.) The room had tall ceilings and windows to let in lots of light, and featured a wardrobe for storing our clothing. The location was great- close proximity to the train station and lots of sights. Our room faced an interior courtyard and was quiet, despite the hotel being on a busy street. The restaurant attached feature cozy outdoor ambiance (classic biergarten feel with shady trees), delicious food, Stiegl on tap, and warm service. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

The breakfast (which was delicious) wasn't included in the room cost, so we only indulged on our last morning prior to departure; otherwise, there are options nearby for a quick and affordable meal.

Our rooms - we liked the fact that our rooms shared a "lobby" area with a door to the corridor. We also liked the fact our rooms had hard floors and not carpets - it made the rooms feel cleaner. The restaurant garden was lovely and we really enjoyed our evening meal there on the first night of our stay. The staff who served dinner were very friendly. The staff on the hotel's reception were also friendly and helpful.

Breakfast: We had breakfast on our first morning but not on the second as we thought it was over-priced for what it was. We were not told where to sit so just chose a table outside only to be told off by one of the staff (in a very unfriendly way) for sitting where we should not be.

I loved how there was plenty of space for all my family in the room. My kids lived having their own little sofa bed and being in a separate area of the room than their parents. We were able to walk from the train station to the hotel with all of our luggage without much effort.

The half glass shower pane didn't do much for keeping water from escaping the bathtub. There was an extra "energy fee" that I had to pay at checkout that wasn't disclosed when I checked in, but it wasn't a lot. I just feel like these things could be included in the base price for booking instead of nickel and dimed after the fact.

Easy direct walk from the train station. Quiet (we were on the side away from the train tracks). Room and bathroom were a very good size, spotlessly clean. A safe and a fridge in the room. Comfortable bed. Excellent restaurant attached - but best to reserve, it was busy both nights we were here. Hotel and restaurant staff are great. We would definitely stay here again.

It is across the river from the historic centre, but we knew that when we booked, so no issue for us. Just to be aware. Easy stroll, 15 minutes max.

The hotel was easy to find and was a short walk from the main bus and train station. The room was booked as a small twin, but was larger than expected and very adequate for our needs. The reception staff were polite, friendly and efficient on both check in and check out. The room was clean and well maintained, we found the beds comfortable. The location was convenient and enabled good access to the sights, either walking or using the very good public transport.

The room was quite hot and the air conditioning was just blowing out warm air. The windows did open, but as we were facing the main train tracks, this meant the noise from trains could be heard with the windows open. Not a big issue as we were heavy sleepers. Perhaps more could've been explained about the availability of the restaurant as we did not really know about it until the last day.
