This is a little gem of a hotel and we had three fabulous nights here. The location is perfectly placed - a short walk to the main square and all the sights within easy reach. The hotel is spotlessly clean and we were made to feel so welcome by Veronique- lots of advice on what to see and where to go in Bruges, and freshly squeezed orange juice to go alongside a very lovely breakfast buffet each morning. Our bedroom was bright, plenty of space and fab bathroom with all the necessities taken care of. Parking was easy, just around the corner from the hotel. Highly recommend this as a base for a city break in Bruges and we will be back!!

The location was perfect, everything was walkable from the hotel. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the owner gave us lots of helpful information. Breakfast was plentiful, with great coffee! The breakfast room and courtyard were very pretty, and the whole hotel - decor etc - is calm and elegant. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a good shower. Highly recommended, we would definitely choose this hotel again.

A public car park is just around the corner if the hotel doesn't have space in its garage, and the first time we tried to park there were no spaces but after 5-10 minutes we did get a space.

Location is perfect, a stone’s throw from the main square. A lovely street, with a little life but not too much so that you didn’t feel like you were right in the middle of the city. Very well kept, modern and modest rooms but everything you needed. The breakfast room is beautiful and gave us everything we could need.

A bit of late night noise where bars further down the street emptied but to be expected. Also, the early traffic on the cobbled street woke us up, but again, to be expected. But nothing against the actual property itself!

Walking into our room we could immediately smell the most delightful room spray or similar which was so welcoming. The host was so helpful and kind. There is an option to use stairs or a lift which is very helpful with luggage. The breakfast room delightful and I enjoy a breakfast that has a lighter option like the one available at Hotel Alegria. Perhaps not for you if you enjoy a full breakfast but for me and my son’s it was perfect. Right in the middle of town so the location is perfect, can literally walk everywhere or hire a bike and ride. We walked to the accommodation from the train station which took about 25 minutes and as we came in the early evening it was such a beautiful way to enter and experience the stunning town of Brugge. There is an excellent laundromat very close by to the accommodation too which is very handy.

There was nothing that I didn’t like. Loved the whole experience. Perhaps the milk could have been replaced when the room was serviced but that is a very minor thing that did not impact my stay at all.

What a gem of a hotel! So glad we found Hotel Alegria. Veronique went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and she succeeded. She gave us lots of local advice on where to visit and also restaurant recommendations. Bed was so comfortable with fabulous quality sheets and our room had absolutely everything we needed. Breakfast was superb with a wide variety of high quality fresh ingredients. Such a treat to have orange juice freshly squeezed to order. Location was very close to centre and carpark was nearby and easy to access. Thank you for your excellent hospitality Veronique. We didn't want to leave!

Exceptional located and cute hotel, close to Grote Markt, the heart of the city. We had a pleasant stay, everything was nice. Impressed by the extreme cleanliness, very cosy and intimate atmosphere. Lady Veronique, the owner of the hotel, is an extraordinary woman! She was very understanding and helped us with everything we asked for. We thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts! Hope to come back again one day🙏

We love this hotel! We stayed there for four nights and everything was perfect. The breakfast was magnificent. Everything you want was on the buffet. Freshly squeezed orange juice and very good coffee. Yes, everything was perfect and we could enjoy the nice breakfast in the beautiful garden. The lovely lady who owned the hotel took very good care of the buffet and everything was so fresh and nice. Our room was fantastic and everything we needed was there. The location was perfect. And we got every information we needed. We love this hotel and will be back!

The bedrooms, the bathrooms, the service, the breakfast, the location, the host — if I could give it 11/10, I would. Absolutely fantastic beyond compare. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to return. Thank you so much for the brilliant stay. The host of this property makes it absolutely incredible. Her attention to detail and kindness is amazing. She even ordered us a taxi for the morning, cooked us breakfast and helped the taxi driver with our bags whilst we finished our breakfast. She gave us a very thorough run through when we arrived of the town, special sites to visit and where to have dinner. She is a local and it shows. So very helpful. Thank you again!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, spotless and in a fantastic location. Our host Veronique was charming and so helpful and knowledgeable about the best places to visit including local restaurants. The breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of choice and fresh orange juice brought to our table. We found the hotel online by chance but it is certainly a hidden gem and we will recommend to anyone visiting Bruges. Veronique made our stay one we will never forget.

the hotel is located extremely close to the city centre. the lady at the front desk is way more than a receptionist: she’s a true host and a real city guide. upon our arrival she gave us a lot of information about the city, where to go, what to avoid, what tour was worth it and so on. the room was extremely clean and cozy. we got the one with the garden view and it was adorable. breakfast was incredible with many options (breads, slices of fruits, yogurts, different types of cheese, ham, salami and more). there is an espresso machine with many different options to choose from and freshly made orange juice. hand sanitizer available all over the hotel. 100% recommend.
