Excellent location, right in the centre of Bruges so perfect for walking out and seeing the sights. Had a small double room, which was clean and comfortable and well serviced every day (although you only get a complimentary bottle of water and a small chocolate per stay, not per night, which I thought was a bit cheap as it would cost next to nothing for the hotel to refresh those as well) Hotel staff were welcoming and very friendly during our stay.

The extra charge for breakfast, €25 per person! Fortunately there are many bars and cafes just outside the hotel where you can get a coffee/croissant for €5 or a bigger breakfast for €13. This put us off using the hotel bar as well, as again there are some great bars within easy walking distance that are cheaper and with a better atmosphere. And car parking is first come first served, hotel does make you aware of this so towards the end of our stay we went to visit Ypres and Gent and had to park in public car parks as we got back to the hotel in the evening. There is a public car park just around the corner from the hotel, and actually is cheaper than the overnight parking at the hotel itself!

I have stayed here several times previously, the location is perfect for the centre. I had never used the pool before but we used it during our stay this time and I am so glad we did. The jazz bar in the hotel is a lovely addition in the evening and a good place to meet when you are travelling with a large group. The reception staff were very helpful and polite and there is even onsite parking (if you get there early enough!) Also, this hotel is great value. There are lots of very nice hotels in the centre of Bruges (of which we have stayed in quite a few) and this is one of the more reasonably priced ones.

The whole experience was great and my only criticism is that we did not have robe and slippers in our room for when using the pool so this was little bit of a letdown. I know other rooms had them so I'm not sure why we did not. I didn't ask reception about this as I only found out about them late in our stay (from another person in our party who did have them in their room) but this is a very small complaint.

This is the second time we have chosen to stay at the Hotel Havarre and it was even better the second time. The location is brilliant - literally a 3 minute walk to the central square and it is the perfect location to get out and about. The staff are so friendly and accomodating and the breakfast is the best buffet breakfast I have experienced on the European continent. There is so much choice for food, the deal for paying early was worth it, and prosecco was included! The pool was great.

The room was a little small but that is totally understandable - the pool was great but the changing rooms not very well identified or good for modesty.

I liked everything, I've been before and will probably go again. We love Bruges and the Navarra is perfectly placed and has the added benefit of on site parking. A special vote of thanks must go to the barman who was friendly and knowledgeable about Bruges.

The air-con in the room could have worked a bit better. I'm not getting any younger and a grab handle or two in the bath/sower would have been good. It would have been nice to have had the option of a fried egg at breakfast instead of just scrambled, but that would have needed someone there to cook it

Great location, close to most tourist attractions and our room also had a nice view. They also had great facilities (pool, sauna, gym) which were open late. Breakfast was also really good.

The bed was a bit tough, the blankets were too thin. The toilet paper was only one or two-ply, which is not something I would expect for a 4-star hotel. The fact that no robes or slippers were offered in the room and that if we wanted them we had to pay an extra 10 euros per set was abnormal for a 4-star hotel.

Location for this hotel was excellent - arrive early so you get a parking space as not sure where else you would park, staff were excellent - was certainly a perfect hotel to finish our holiday in, swimming pool was lovely - quite small - but really lovely - did not eat in the hotel , but did use the bar - and that was really nice, town square is a very short walk

Nothing - its a perfect place to spend a few days in Bruges, will definitely go back

This hotel was genuinely amazing. After issues with travel you arrive and the building outside is so nice. Better than the picture. You go inside and even though they preserved the 16th century looks and architectural details, all the present necessities were modernized. You even have a ramp to access the lobby. You walk in and everything is so pretty and clean. The check-in was also a very pleasant experience. The receptionist Thomas spoke Spanish fluently, as well as English and Dutch. He knew all the areas to visit and avoid in the city and explained it on a map he gave us. The room: my my so much space for a simple double twin bed room! It was so clean and comfortable and you had coat hooks walking in- something I don’t see in most European hotels. As well as the choice of wanting AC on or not! It was end of October/ beginning of November and you could still have the choice to sleep with AC instead of needing to open the window. The room had little chocolates on each bed and the bathroom was equipped with quality toiletries and oh so clean. Even the elevator to get to our room was cool. Housekeeping was also so considerate and detailed. Location: very good location. Close to the Markt and walking anywhere is a breeze. Buses on time all around the area. Breakfast: the best breakfast I have had during my entire stay throughout this Europe trip. It was beyond just the usual continental breakfast. For their holiday on November 1st it was like a 5 star breakfast restaurant. They prepare the coffee in the kitchen and it was so delicious that I had 2 full cups. It’s also somewhat international because they had so many options. You MUST try their hot chocolate for breakfast. Delicious. My daughter had one each breakfast (she’s in her 20s- not talking about a kid that would love all hot chocolates). Coming back to this beautiful city and staying here!

Not super flexible with the late checkout. They couldn’t tell us the night before because they said it depended on what housekeeping said?

The location was fantastic and the swimming pool (though small) and sauna were both really welcome after a long day sightseeing. The staff were really helpful and the hotel was really clean throughout. Would definitely recommend!

Maybe just some advice on the website about how to travel to the hotel from the train station with a suitcase?, ie is it best to get a taxi or is there a bus or something?

The location was great and very central. The hotel was charming, historic and well decorated (nice aesthetic that respects the history, but has all the modern amenities). The service from the staff was very high end (you felt as though you were really being looked after). Our comfort room was spacious and clean. The breakfast had nice quality options and attentive service (good quality coffee and prosecco on ice!). Overall the impression of staying at Hotel Navarra is a more expensive and luxurious experience than the price tag.

I don't have anything negative to say about the hotel or stay!

Excellent hotel, staff are wonderful. A beautiful hotel, spotless and superb service. Located very close to the city centre, ideal for seeing the sights but also very quiet.

Minor comment, we prefer to use the shower which was in the bath but there was no handrail just the shower screen. The bath surface was non slip but we would have felt safer and more comfortable if there was a small handrail to use entering and exiting the bath for a shower. Breakfast was fine but a little disappointing for the price.
