This was a very comfortable hotel situated in the heart of the old city, just round the corner from the Grande Place. There are many eating options close by. The hotel is in a picturesque old building in a quiet, cobbled street. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped.

We had some difficulty finding the hotel, but that was our fault as we had not appreciated at which station the Eurostar arrived. It's a good walk from Brussels Midi/Sud, but quite straightforward with a decent map. Public transport is also available. The hotel is distributed over a number of buildings, and there is only stair access to the first floor. Some parts are accessible by lift from that floor, but in our part the upper floors were only accessible by very steep and narrow stairs. This wasn't a problem to us, but it might be to some.

Location, location, location. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from Brussels Centraal station. You walk out the hotel, turn the corner and you are right in the mix of the hotels, shops, cafes, etc. Loved the feel and energy of the area. Hotel room was perfect for our family of 4 (kids 10 & 7) as it had a loft with two beds, which was perfect for providing a separation between parents & kids. Kids loved having their own "space" to relax and sleep. Room was very clean and roomy enough with all the luggage we had. Loved the being able to open the windows and just people watch from above. Allowed for some nice air-flow too. Hotel staff was welcoming and helpful when we asked for guidance. Aux Gaufres De Bruxelles is 50 feet away and was great for breakfast.

Bathroom was fine for our family, as we are all under 6 ft tall, however could be an issue as the ceiling is quite low (only in the bathroom). Would be nice if there was an elevator as there were quite a few stairs we had to hike up with our luggage (we were on a 3-week trip, so had 3 large suitcases). However, I do understand this is probably not feasible due to the buildings location and age (to be clear, building was well maintained and showed no signs of degradation).

A no-frills hotel. Location absolutely superb - really couldn't ask for better. Fantastic value for money. Slept very well in the room. Staff were very nice.

Every time you entered the family duplex room or went to the bathroom, you had to stoop a little bit because of the low height of the ceiling. (I'm 181cm height so not that tall). The rest of the room was fine. This was a very small negative - the hotel was just absolutely fantastic value for money, 10/10!

Will definitely stay again! Big pluses for hotel Agora: -location: can't get better! 2 minute walk to Grand Place, Central Train station. Everything in old town is right there. -personnel: super helpful & friendly. Everyone we met at the reception was extremely kind. We felt very well taken care of from the time of booking to check-out. Excellent service.

Things to consider/watch out for: -The stairs to the rooms. This is a beautiful, narrow building from the 17th century! That means VERY steep stairs to the rooms, which can be difficult to manage. But the folks at the reception are there to help happily with the luggage if needed. - Rooms have no air-conditioning. We stayed at the hottest, humidest weekend of this summer so far - so this was a bit hard. But there was a fan in the room, which did help. I am pretty sure, that no AC is only a problem for a few weeks out of the entire year here. I would definitely stay again at Agora in the Fall, winter or Spring. Very well managed and super clean place!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm. The hotel staff's dedication to creating a welcoming environment was evident throughout my stay, and I was consistently impressed by their attentiveness and professionalism. Each interaction with the staff left a lasting impression on me, and I truly felt like a valued guest.

Outside, the surroundings are quite vibrant and lively, creating a bustling atmosphere that may result in some noise. Due to this, it may be challenging to enjoy the option of having an open window. I understand this might be a common occurrence when seeking accommodation in the heart of bustling Brussels.

Central location. Helpful staff

Our light spacious room could easily have accommodated a fridge which would have been helpful. No glasses. 2 cardboard cups, 2 coffee and sugar capsules . No milk. Stair cases very steep, although there is a small lift part of the way. One suitcase stand. You could have a small cupboard with drawers beneath the tv and that waive storage problem. If you know what to expect in the room ok, but if you are expecting a room with mod cons maybe elsewhere. Location perfect and staff anxious to help

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on May 2nd, 2023. This was the warmest welcome we have seen at a hotel in a very long time. This was due to their front desk employee (Eve) who offered to help us bringing our suitcases to our room since this hotel is in an older building and not equipped with an elevator. Eve also walked us to our room on the 2nd floor and showed us where things were located inside, which was extremely welcoming. Eve and other employees that we saw during our stay were all smiling and seemed very motivated & happy. This hotel is also very well located, near the main city square and would highly recommend someone who’s visiting Brussels to stay at this location.

everything was perfect.

The hotel is situated in the center of the town, yet in a very quiet zone in a small pedestrian street around the main square. Everything is very close: Grand Palace, Brussels Central Station, chocolate shops, restaurants, beer bars, historic sites… Perfect location. The staff was incredible friendly, kind and helpful for everything we asked. Always cheerful they explained to us how to get everywhere we need to go, find everything we need to find and ready to propose you how to best combine your time to see something more. The room was clean with very comfortable bed and a small bathroom. There are steep stairs to the room and we were offered help with our bags. Although the hotel does not offer breakfast there are at least two excellent breakfast places in half a minute walk from the hotel. There was an electric kettle, and you should not hesitate to ask for coffee or tea refill if the room lady forgot it, as it can happen. Highly recommend.

The room generally was quite nice, the shower was lovely and the place was clean and tidy. Overall a good experience. Beds were good and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

The main two issues we had were the ceiling height in our room and the bathroom door. Unfortunately our room didn't have a full ceiling height throughout and a couple of my friends did hit their heads multiple times - not really what you expect to get. Secondly the door didn't have a latch and didn't have a lock, so essentially the door was just shut to without any ability to secure it. In my view this is a major oversite and so easily fixed that sadly I had to knock it down a rating for this. Without these two issues I'd have rated it a 10/10, so the experience of others may be very different depending on the room.

Good hotel with great location. Everything is within walking distance. The room was clean, warm and quiet. Nice staff who can help with luggage and give you all the information you need. They speak many languages (including English). The hotel can get vouchers (if you ask not to clean the room) for 5 euros for breakfast next to the hotel. At least at the time of writing this review - April 2023. The beds were soft but surprisingly very comfortable and pleasant. Check-in and check-out are very fast, no problems.
