We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Julietts B&B, thanks in large part to the lovely host, Karen. She was incredibly friendly, always up for a chat, and more than willing to suggest things to do or share fascinating stories about the local area's history. One story in particular—the Brothers in Arms Memorial—really stood out and added so much depth to our visit. Her knowledge of the war significance in the area was truly impressive and made our stay even more meaningful. Our room was perfect, with a lovely balcony and seating area where we could relax in the evenings. Each morning, we were treated to a delightful breakfast that was always beautifully laid out for us. The location was also fantastic! We were just an 8-minute walk from the In Flanders Fields Museum and a 12-minute walk from the Menin Gate, which made exploring Ypres so convenient. Although the parking outside could be full during the day, we always found a space close by in the morning and evening, and we were able to charge our car overnight at one of the electric charging points, which was very convenient. We can't recommend Julietts B&B enough and are already planning to stay here again when we bring family to visit the Ypres region. Karen's warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable!

Nothing to dislike, was absolutely fantastic

Brilliant location, easy to find, and only a five minute walk into the centre of Ypres. We stayed here 11 years ago when it was Cavells. It's been decorated and freshened up since then. Karen is a lovely lady and a gracious host. The room we stayed in was cosy and very comfortable. Delicious, continental breakfast. Karen allowed us to park our two motorbikes in the garage for safety. We've tried many times to book over the years when visiting but have been unable to because of it being fully booked, which says a lot. First class and highly recommend.

There is nothing to dislike, just a couple of things to note. The room we stayed in had a separate, private WC out in the landing area. Parking in front of the house is free (if I recall correctly), but it's usually full. Other than that everything is great.

We had the family room which was great for the four of us, the two bedrooms gave us lots of space, the bathroom was well equipped and the lounge was an excellent space for relaxing between sight seeing. The breakfast was excellent, with a selection of items available and something for everyone. Communication about the booking and arrival arrangements was very good. Parking was very good with lots of on street spaces and the centre of Ypres only a short walk away.

The friendliest, most helpful host we've come across! With a genuine interest in WW1 and WW2, she will help anyone who is in the area for "war tourism" The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well fitted out - good wifi, tea, coffee, biscuits, etc. Location is an easy walk to the town centre. The only possible issue is that, whilst there is free parking directly outside the property, these spaces are always busy. That said, there's other options available within the facility.

The friendliness and wealth of knowledge on what is good to explore from the Host was so valuable to us. We took all of Karens advice and it rounded our trip out so beautifully. The B&B was in the perfect location to walk to the centre of Ypres and was also a great central base to drive to many of the tourist locations. We had the 2 bedroom suite at the top of the B&B and it immediately felt like a home from home

we didn't like having to come back home. our trip was so easy and relaxing that leaving was hard. one thing that would be nice to have in the suite would be a USB charging hub so charging phones ect could be easier but this by no means takes away from the comfort of the stay.

Rooms are very tastefully decorated and air conditioned which was great as our room was on the back, had a large pair of sliding patio doors and the sun was in the back all day so the room got very warm. Plumbing noisy. Tea and coffee facility with small biscuits. We had a balcony on the back of the house including a table and 4 chairs, with soft cushions. It was very nice to sit out in the early evening and have a hot or cold drink even though there wasn’t a view as such. Bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was reasonable with a choice of traditional and choc chip croissants, ham, cheese, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea and coffee. It was available in a nicely furnished breakfast room at the front of the house. It is only 2 minutes walk from the Cloth Hall and 10 minutes from the Menin Gate, so it is very well positioned for lots of restaurants and bars. Off road Parking is available on the other side of the street although you may have to wait for a space to become free as the parking is free of charge and well used due to its proximity to the town centre.

Shower in our room (No. 3) was leaking quite badly as the door did not fit properly.

Karen and her family are interested in people not just business. From start to finish care and professionalism are shown. Karen loves the area of Belgium you are in and her enthusiasm is great, explaining things and making sure the guests get the best from their visit.

It's rare I ever fill one of these reviews out but after our welcome and stay at Juliettes feel I must. My son and I had just spent 2 nights in another more expensive property in France and I chose to say nothing when prompted by booking.com to leave a review. Usually nothing being said speaks volumes!! Neither my nor I can think on anything we didn't like about our stay at Juliettes.

Lovely decor and nice and clean. Large choice of continental breakfast available. Extremely close to the city - 5 min walk to get to the Ypres square. Hosts were welcoming, friendly and advised us on things on area to visit. If we had nicer weather, the use of the balcony would have been lovely. Loved having the tea/coffee facilities in the room, especially having a fridge.

I would prefer smaller separate tables for each room at breakfast, rather than one long table for everyone, but this wouldn't stop me from visiting again.

De familyroom is very spacious. Two bedrooms, livingroom and bathroom for a very very fair price. Some board- and other games in the room for children were a Nice surprice. Coffee, tea and water were available in the room. Breakfast was definitly ok and the host was very friendly. We were allowed to check in early and all our questions were answered. If we return to Ieper, we will stay again here without doubt. Location is superb. Only 5’ walk to the center. Free parking right in front. Maybe the view is not the most adorable, but even that is more than ok.

Only one small remark: in the livingroom there is wall to wall (very clean!!!) carpet. Maybe this is important for people who have an allergy of Some kind. But it did not bother us at all although my doughter is allergic for dust, she slept like a rose with only a few sneezes in the morning. (Replacement maybe worth a future investment?)

Excellent location walking distance to main city sights. Wonderful host with excellent English and good knowledge of local history etc. Although on the ground floor our room was perfectly quiet. Overall everything we needed for a pleasant two night stay.

Very little was not liked. We would have preferred a coffee making machine to a kettle and instant but this is very minor and reflects our personal tastes. As said little to fault a great B and B.
