We had a balcony facing the beach. That was great, definitely the highlight of our stay. The breakfast was also very good, and the hotel's restaurant had a pretty decent (and not pricy) lunch/dinner menu. The staff was very polite and helpful, and the location of the hotel is perfect - there are several restaurants, cafés and stores around, one metro station nearby, and Copacabana beach right across the street. The swimming pool area of the hotel also looked nice, but with such a beautiful beach right over there, we didn't really care to try the pool. We did try the SPA, though. That was a positive experience, and the price was very reasonable.

In general, the room was nice, but the building is not exactly new. Everything was functioning as it should, but it felt like the room needed a makeover.

Some slight damage to walls and small cleanliness issues but other than that it was perfect!

So many great things about this hotel. The location is great, right opposite of Copacabana Beach. It's very lively in the evening with people and vendors on the street but at night after 10.0? Gets quiet and you hear the sound of the ocean. The morning breakfast has good variety also. The staff was great, I got help from junior and he was amazing ! The room service and cleaning was on time and great too

In my sister's room the lights bulb fuse went out for some and the toilet was running and that was making a noise all night. Maintenance is needed but I mentioned that to junior and he got someone to come and fix it right then and there but I wish that wasn't an issue to face in the first place

The staff was beyond nice! Marcs at the front desk was so so helpful, he recognized my attempt at speaking Portuguese and offered to speak in English to ensure I understood. Marcs was such a delight, patient, and definitely started our trip off in Rio on a great note. Marcel Phillipe at the rooftop bar was also a joy getting to know him, on top of his top knotch hospitality, he offered us great tips and advice for navigating Rio. With a great staff like this, I’ll be back for sure! The hotel is located right across the street from the beach, just look out your balcony and it’s there. Great for watching the Sunrise! Also, the free breakfast is perfect before any excursions or hitting the beach. Thank you Pestana for a fantastic trip!

The hotel is perfect! Nothing to do with the hotel but rather the area, just need more food spots open in Copacabana after 2am for the partying crowd and night owls. If you can’t find food and can wait a few hours, the hotel offers an excellent complimentary buffet breakfast at 6:30am.

The location, facilities and staff were amazing. The reception was super helpful and I was always greeted with a smile. Yes the place does need refreshing but I still give it a 10. Read a few comments about the hotel before booking which were not pleasant but people need to understand that Brazil is a tropical country and cockroaches and insects are everywhere and they can climb through the gutters and drains, no matter how much the facility is clean.

An excellent location that offers a wonderful view from the rooftop. I liked to see a rescue lifeguard supervising the pool all the time.

My biggest disappointment was the restrict access to the rooftop open area before 7AM. It would be nice to be able to appreciate the sunrise (around 6AM) from there. To my mind, it was too much chlorine in the pool.

The size of the room was wonderful for 2, the view from our balcony was exceptional, it was clean and comfortable, very good laundry service.

The furniture was a little outdated. The fitness facilities were very below average. The staff at reception were very unwelcoming upon arrival.

it was perfect and always smells good and very clean. and the location is close to everything. specially marcs in the reception he was so professional with us he was very helpful and always super friendly

the pillow were uncomfortable, there was a noise close the breakfast was annoying

I had an amazing time in Rio and especially at the Pestana Rio Atlantica! I have really enjoyed my stay and im so sad to leave. Such great stuff very helpful and accommodating. I would like to thank Marcs and the rest of the team at Pestana Rio Atlantica! I will be back soon :)

The staff were all lovely and went above and beyond. The reception area and the roof top bar /pool were exceptional. The location at the mid way point of Copacabana beach was perfect for bars, beaches and the metro. The concierges were helpful with travel advice around the city too.

It’s not that I didn’t like it but room was a little tired with damage to some of the flooring and the wall a little dented.
