We had an excellent stay at the Novotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great view. The location is convenient because it's easy to get to/from the airport, plus there is a great mall right next door and a bus stop close by with easy access to downtown. The staff were very kind and professional, and very accommodating to the needs of a young family. They had car seats that we could use for the airport shuttle. The staff very kindly washed our baby feeding gear and sippy cups for us. There's also a perfect little play area by reception to keep the little ones occupied while the adults check in/out. The breakfast was great, with many choices. One minor but highly appreciated feature was the water bottle filling station at the elevators on each floor (you can even choose sparkling water - nice!). We especially appreciated the great service we received from Sabina (front desk), Damyan (breakfast), and Traicho (airport shuttle) - thank you very much!

The only thing that we did not find family-friendly was the design of the bathroom; it's not a fully separate room. The doors don't lock and there is a gap underneath so there is no sound insulation. The glass wall can be set to opaque or transparent, but even on the opaque setting it isn't perfectly private. As a result, parents with young children may find they have trouble showering or using the bathroom in privacy. And it's hard to make a quiet trip to the bathroom after the little ones are asleep. Not a deal-breaker, though. Our stay was otherwise wonderful.

The hotel is ideally situated for the airport and was easy to find. The Check-in process was really efficient and the staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. Rooms were excellent with everything you could need, very modern and stylish. We went to the mall that's within walking distance where there's plenty of places to eat and lot's of opportunity to shop. We had booked an overnight stay before getting our flight back home to the UK. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to people who are wanting somewhere before or after a flight. We'd also definitely stay here again when in Sofia.

Drinks prices at the bar are a little steep but we were expecting it to be fair. A Gordon's gin and homemade lemonade (which the waiter makes up in front of you) and two pints Kamenitzas was 35 lev.

Perfect as usual. When I travel with my family in Bulgaria, we always choose Novotel Sofia. The staff members are very polite and helpful, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable. We travel with two toddlers and we love the way they set their cots. This time we were lucky to be the guests of the day and we were surprised with the treats waiting for us in the room, I won’t tell you more, not to spoil the surprise for the next lucky guests. A huge thank you to all the staff members!

Very good breakfast, more than helpful staff willing to help us in any way. We were more than happy with our choice of hotel which is located in a very nice area, close to the airport, next to The Mall, free parking. We were given early check in and late check out since our flights were early in the morning when we arrived and our departure flight was late in the evening. If we visit Sofia again, Novotel will be our only choice!

Great location for us from the airport on what was a one night stay between flights. We arrived early and the staff took our bags for us and advised us of the mall next door to spend a little time. When we got back the room was spacious and comfortable and we settled into the room for some rest and spent the majority of time there after a long day of travelling. I visited the bar later to watch football, and the staff were again helpful and courteous. I loved the beer and the nuts, and enjoyed my time there.

Rooms are very comfortable, tidy and clean. Staff is pleasant and willing to help.

Staff should convey information more actively. I started to use the gym and just as I was 12 minutes into the workout, I had to leave because it was out service. Receptionist failed to tell that there is a gym or that it is out of service for three days in a week.

We had executive room and it is pretty spacious and being at the corner of the building gives views both towards city center and mountains to the south. Overall location is very convenient. Shopping mall next door.

Although they offer options to pick different pillows, mattresses weren't soft and I can't say I had a comfortable sleep.

I visit every time the Novotel Sofia. 2-3 times per year with family. all the time I am very satisfied. the last time I arrived there from Germany, the bed-sheets had unfortunately some hairs… not vert clean. for the first time I admit. Unfortunately the young guy on service-point that night was not very helpful…. That pissed me off! All the other times my stay was very good-to perfect.

We love staying at Novotel Sofia. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the beds and the pillows are so comfortable, the staff members are very polite and helpful, the breakfast is great. We travel with our toddler boys and I love the way they set the baby cots. It makes such a big difference when you travel with young children. We will definitely stay at Novotel Sofia every time we visit.

Checked in at midnight, there were sandwiches, fruits and juice left in the room. Very thoughtful of the staff. Breakfast was great. Had lunch there too, also great. Shuttle from and to the airport- super convenient, especially when with kids and plenty of luggage. Great value for the money.
