We definitely enjoyed our stay in Maison 557. Everything came almost like surprises for us. The location is perfect, right in the centre but not noisy. The room, pool and whole enrionvment was beautiful and enjoyable. Everyday we look forward to come back and relax there after an exausting day. The restaurant outside of the hotel is surprising. It caters people with different preferences. Every staff were very welcoming and made everything felt like home. We very much miss this place :)

The super friendly owners and staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Everything from placing pool towels down to arranging rental bicycles to giving us access to a bed when we arrived from a harrowing night bus trip made our stay the best one we've had in Cambodia. The breakfast was really good (freshly baked baguette and proper coffee), and the restaurant served nice local dishes.

As typical in Siem Reap: credit card payments are not accepted for anything other than the room itself.

The loveliest of stays! this place was run by a cute couple always available and ready to answer my questions. I got lucky and had the room with private pool, which made me feel extra special. The driver they recommended me to do the temples went above and beyond. They also share the space with a restaurant, Pou which I also highly recommend. Not only to mention it is placed in an upcoming neighborhood filled with little treasures. I cannot recommend staying here more, especially as a solo traveler. I felt safe and welcomed.

We loved the style of the hotel, truly beautiful, with amazing staff, a delicious breakfast (the best fresh watermelon juice we ever had) and with the perfect location (close to restaurants, supermarkets, massage places and the center of Siem Reap). We rented a room with its own pool, which was fantastic and pretty. There are many nice attention made to please the guests like local lovely soaps and shampoo, little romantic candles for the evenings, bean bags by the pool, books to read about Siem Reap and the temples. We had a great stay. Whenever we had small issues, owners Joan and Gauthier always did everything to resolve it. They also helped us with reserving a tuk tuk to visit the temples and had great advice, always! It was a pleasure to meet them. Merci Joan et Gauthier (et Austin).

These are ideas that could improve the hotel even more: - pool towels so we don't use the bathroom towels outside. - a little fridge in the room to keep water cold or snacks. - a drying rack to dry towels, bathing suits etc.

On top of the usual things you expect (e.g. room, pool, etc) we were really happy with the staff of the hotel. They were very helpful in organizing trips/activities for us and giving advice on whatever we asked for. They also arranged a tour guide and a driver for us during our stay. I'd also like to highlight their services as Mr Sari (our tour guide) and Phally (our driver) made our stay very special, thank you so much for everything!

The pool room was great and the staff were exceptional. The location is central so you can walk everywhere.

They lock the gate each night so you have to unlock it to get in. The lock is easy to open but there is a lever that needs to be opened from the inside. Not easy as the hole in the gate is not that big and the lever is a bit stiff. Luckily, I have skinny forearms.

The whole place is just beautiful and very tranquil, ideal for relaxing after visiting Angkor. Breakfasts were delicious with fresh croissants, crepes, juice, fruit, yoghurt and eggs all on offer. They even packed us up one to go when we went for Sunrise at Angkor Wat. The location is really excellent with all the best restaurants and drinking spots close by. Traveling soon after Cambodia opened back up to tourism we were pleased to find the hotel had been recently renovated, and absolutely no signs of it sitting empty for 2 years. More than anything though we loved the kind and knowledgeable owners Gauthier and Joan. They always greeted us with a friendly smile, and couldn't have been more helpful with recommendations, organizing tours, transport etc. Traveling in pandemic times, it meant a lot to us to have such amazing hosts who went out of their way to guide us through what's open, what's not, covid tests, local regulations etc. etc.

It would be nice to have a softer mattress and a door on the toilet, although overall still LOVED Maison 557.

The hotel exceeded my expectations, the receptionists are extremely helpful and accommodating, they provided a takeaway breakfast to be able to see the sunrise in Angkor Wat, they also helped me to book a tuk-tuk that took us around the temples for the whole days, they also provided good recommendations on activities to do during how 2-days stay. Rooms are spacious and clean, good internet connection, comfy beds and air conditioning is provided. They have a swimming pool accessible at night.

We had an amazing 3 day stay in Maison 557. The location is neat (directly at the city center), the staff is attentive and always willing to support but the owners Joan & Gauthier are the game changers. They manage to turn your stay into an incredible one. They dealt with our early arrival at 5.30 am in the morning, they took care of bike rental and organizing the floating village trip, they recommended the best restaurants, they have a lovely dog Austin, … Foremost, they are awesome folks! Joan & Gauthier, you are amazing / unmatched hosts! Thank you so much! Pauline & Matthias

This. Is. The. One. Everything was exceptionally great! The staff was smiling all day long, Gauthier was an omnipresent host and always asking whether we needed something. At dinnertime (you have to check out the restaurant in the evening!) the entire staff was attentive and friendly, the food was excellent (Khmer cuisine, but with an international touch) and we even had a second helping of dessert! We simply just have to come again to our new favourite place in South East Asia!
