Raffles is the iconic hotel you expect to see. Possibly the best hotel in Siem Reap. When you enter you feel like in an Agatha Christie story.

The food. The trip with the boat is nothing from the brochure. 89 USD for a 30 meters sail in a reservoir (not to see the flooded villages) in a small boat and the food and drinks offered were gin tonic and caju nuts. This was a theft

Hospitality (noun): the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers. Could not have been more true. The family loved every minute - cooking class, wine tasting, lounging by the massive pool, just having the lovely staff say a good morning to the kids by name. In our opinion, this is THE BEST HOTEL IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW (sorry, Aman; Four Seasons; Mandarin Oriental, but they really are a tremendously warm and stylish act to top).

The resident Curator (yep, they have one) asked me this when checking out and, for once, I couldn't give a single, helpful suggestion about what to do better. "Don't change", I stammered.

Grand Hotel D’Angkor/ Raffles is like stepping back in time. The property and the rooms are beautifully maintained. The staff are all so helpful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. Ray the room manager welcomed us on arrival and sorted out a small room problem quickly and with a smile. He checked in with us regularly to ask if our stay was going well. The restaurant staff could not have been kinder, making sure that everything was as you wanted. After the first lunch they knew your name and by breakfast on day two they knew your beverage preferences. Breakfast is a very elegant and extensive buffet with indoor and outdoor seating. The pool is really beautiful and after a day out visiting temples a great place to relax. The bar in the evening is a perfect place to start you evening before heading out to dinner.

The staff are about as good as it gets. They are fantastically hospitable and helpful. They are the reason to stay.

A few nits about the property itself. We didn't like the incessant jazz piano elevator music everywhere. Our room fan didn't work properly. And the shower is a bit oddly small. But we weren't too bothered by any of it. The staff and general comfort make up for it. And we live the elephant bar.

The hotel is an amazing historical building that smells like fresh frangipani everywhere.The staff are the friendliest and kindest people, the rooms are spacious and super clean.champagne breakfast is amazing! the hotel left us every evening complimentary baskets with traditional treats and printed out stories about siem reap.this hotel will always have a special place in my heart!we felt so welcome like a second home away from home.

Ever seen very nice front desk in especially the pool boy we liked it a lot

The standup of the sports studio is not the standard of a five star hotel, with a little bit effort. It’s so easy to make it a little bit better, especially with this great pool it would be super if the gym would be half the same standard, but in this case, it is not like this

When some staff are expecting for tips for even a small service. Food in 1932 restaurant.

Breakfast, dinner & cocktails, especially the Mont Blanc (s) were amazing. Staff are very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional.

That we had only planned for two nights as we would have liked to stay longer!

We had a classic room. It was really small.

Everything was first class! The staff were so thoughtful and attentive. We were celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary and the whole hotel made sure that it was a special occasion! Wonderful!
