Location was perfect and within walking distance of all the shops and bars and Pub Street. Breakfast was excellent and a great variety of choice on offer. Accommodation was really clean and the staff were brilliant.

I think they need to cut some of the trees back around the pool area so it’s a bit more sunny. We stayed in the garden room which was fabulous, however there was a lack of mirrors in the room and it could definitely benefit by having a mirror in the lounge area for getting ready and drying hair. Also lack of storage space for the size of the room and some more hangers.

Only one slight criticism and a very minor one only is that due to amount of shade from trees, surrounding the place ( trees make the place so nice by the way ) - it is mostly mud with just 2 pathway exits - so a lot of people will end up treading on mud in and out of pool which ends up in pool - pool was very clean when we were there as very quiet - but suggest maybe artificial plastic grass laid on pool surrounds to keep cleaner - trying to maintain grass is a losing battle for staff!!

FCC Angkor by Avani is the kind of boutique hotel. Surrounded by palms and trees. Room decorated with colonial and minimalist style was super nice. Staff was always helpful and looking every minute after you. Restaurant food was very, very good. Breakfast (included in the room price in our case) was a la carte and with all variety you could expect for a 5 star hotel. Pubs street and Siem Reap restaurants are 10min walk from FCC. Airport was 15min driving distance.

We stayed in a Premium room and access to bathtub was not easy (quite a jump to get in). Toilet (restroom) walls would appreciate a paint.

I liked the room design and the beds + pillows were very comfy! Breakfast was good and because we travelled with a small child we did a lot of lunch/dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was very good. Service at the restaurant could be improved though. The hotel's spa is across the street, highly recommend it!

There are some trees surrounding the property, they might be at the origin of this unfortunate incident. The hotel staff moved us to another room the next day and we didn't hear or see anything else.

Stunning hotel in the best location. Walking distance to the famous Pub Street, as well as amazing restaurants, cafes, cocktail bars and the river (we enjoy walking around when travelling so happy to walk 15/20 minutes to places). If you're not a walker, the hotel can organise a tuk tuk to bring you anywhere you're wanting to go. Free usage of the hotel bicycles was a lovely perk. Cycling around the town was fun and we also took a small 10/15 minute cycle to the landmine museum from the hotel. Breakfast was amazing!!!! Great mix of international food and Asian/Cambodian style breakfasts. Staff were kind, caring and very friendly. We stayed in the courtyard deluxe room. Couldn't fault it.

Not sure if this is something that the hotel could help with, but the mosquitoes are everywhere in Siem Reap. Bring mosquito repellent if you are prone to the nasty bites.

The annex across the street is less appealing, with the pool just by the roadside. Also the mobile network tower just behind the building makes a somewhat unpleasant atmosphere.

From service to qualities of room and amenities everything was exceptional!!! The only suggestions I’d make is to have more stone walk ways to get out of pool instead of grass. This will allow cleaner pool too.

this is perfect spot if you want to visit Angkor wat. strategic position to have a tour of the city as well, 10 min walking from Siem Reap center. Staff is amazing, breakfast and restaurant are very good. perfect combo if you want to have full day visit and then relax in the hotel. last but not least our tour guide for Angkor, recommended by hotel, Sen, was amazing.

The hotel has character, service is wonderful and it's very clean. It is full of small beautiful details. We wish to come back!! The breakfast (included) had both Khmer and western options...all great! The food was excelent. Better than expensive restaurants around.

There's nothing we didn't like.

The breakfast was so good, very well made, great coffee, great service. The room is very clean and everything were clean and working properly. Love the Spa! The room decoration was impressive and the personalized welcome message at the typewriter was a lovely touch. I personally love the lighting in the sink's mirror.

The rooms constantly have mosquitos despite us killing them everyday, maybe a regular fogging can be done to reduce it?
