It’s a little bit cheaper to stay at the Crosswaters instead of the Pomeroy with no major difference in our eyes. The room was still clean and comfortable we just had to walk a little bit further to the restaurants and the pool. This may be a problem in the winter but no problem at all in the summer. The kids LOVE the pool here and we spent the most time there. We ate exclusively at the restaurant Forte this time. It is so good for kids as it is quick and kids under 5 eat free. The buffets are delicious and if the kids are really anxious to eat it obviously serves immediately. The staff at Forte are always outstanding and happy to go above and beyond. Including finding a bandaid for our daughters scraped hand. Really wonderful. Also they gave us a hiking tip to Black Shale suspension bridge which the kids kid no problem and was amazing. Always a beautiful spot with wonderful mountain views and well kept grounds. One of our favourite places to stay. They really do get travelling with kids.

The air conditioner in our room was loud and woke me up often. The two loose covers with a duvet in between is really frustrating with little kids. I miss one cover and a duvet. We have been going here for a few years now and every time we go there seems to be something in the pool that is just a little bit more broken. For example the sauna was out of order this time, the ear on the bear was broken off, the volcano in the middle doesn’t work (hasn’t worked any time we have been there), the water sprayers on the side of the pool don’t work, the step on the kiddie slide is lifting. Little things. We still had a blast but it could use some maintenance.

Stunning location! The hotel was really lovely to walk around. On our first night, from the viewing platform we saw our first and only grizzly (far far in the distance) down by the river. The hotel interior is absolutely beautiful. Room was a good size too. There is a great food selection depending on budget and preference. We also enjoyed the Nordic Spa experience

We could be really fussy and say we would have preferred our room to be lighter as it was quite dark

After booking and then reading some negative reviews we were a bit worried, but when we arrived everything was perfect! We knew beforehand to check-in at the main lodge (thanks to reviews) and our room was on the third floor which was very quiet and had a nice view. Room was very clean and modern, probably the nicest and most spacious standard king room we've ever stayed in. Plenty of towels. Hubby thought bed was hard but it was fine for me. Room was on the warm side but that's how I like it. :) You can adjust the temp. We stayed one night and went to the Nordic Spa the next day. Ahhhhh... Ate dinner at Forte and had breakfast at the Market Cafe. Lunch at the spa. Will definitely go back!

No front desk staff, felt a bit eerie. Only the service elevator was working but it was clean. And no shower caps available in the room. :P

Great room with a comfortable king bed, perfect for a romantic overnight. The room felt clean and maintenance was able to fix our minor concerns with the room while we were at dinner.

Definitely felt like the step-child hotel next to the main lodge. No one ever at the front desk that we witnessed, had to walk back to the "big" hotel for everything - all the restaurants, concierge services, check in/out etc., so it felt a bit isolated. I also didn't realize the hotel was pet friendly which would not have be an issue except for the barking dog down the hall that carried on for several hours in the evening, presumably while it's owners were at dinner. Our ground-level room had patio access which was nice although the door was difficult to figure out (as it actually just looked like a window) and it didn't feel particularly secure when it was latched.

The views are amazing, the complex is great for families and the addition of a Spa is great for longer stays.

You can only do check-in in the main building so it is a bit inconvenient given they have space to do it on every building. The room was great, but might need a touch-up since a few things needed fixing (shower door didn't close properly, window sill was in pieces no main aircon but a unit by the window that was noisy).

We booked 3 rooms and we wanted them all beside each other. When we checked in, 2 of the rooms were not ready yet. The nice lady at the reception desk gave us 2 complimentary drink vouchers to enjoy while waiting.

We had to pay $20/car for the underground parking, and it would have been nicer if it was free. Also, the Kananaskis park pass fee had to be paid online and it was not user-friendly. We had 3 vehicles, and we had to do it 3x online. It would have been more convenient if there was a toll booth instead, just like in Banff.

Convenient to the golf course. we really enjoy the Crosswaters location and the walk across to the main lodge.

next year we’ll ask to not be located near the elevator. many children were running the hallway and for some reason men were loud and yelling down the hallway to their buddies at 11:30 at night. very disappointing. Also, the rooms are very poorly lit. no more wall sconces and could hardly see at night.

the king room we had was spacious. the pool area has a large outdoor hot tub and the indoor pool for kids is very fun.

the inside bar was doing last call a half hour before closing. we just wanted a dessert and drink and the bartender was all good with us coming in. then a manager came over and let us know that they were basically doing last call and blocked us from the entry in to the bar. it seemed he really wanted us to leave. not impressed with this as we had just come from the pool closing. I think that was a poor choice on the managers part to turn away paying hotel guests.

Friendly welcome at front desk, beautiful grounds and scenery, great access to facilities, several options for meals and so many beautiful trails around and close to the property.

Ordered a cot for my room for one of my daughters and had to call the front desk three times to remind them to bring one up (it was getting very late and I needed to get my kids to bed, so a little frustrating.) The same scenario happened when I requested a microwave in my room- had to call several times to remind them. Once we were settled in, however, everything was great!

Tasty breakfast. The whole atmosphere was very easygoing. I would have liked to be there during summer season as some places were closed off but as a first experience it was great - the staff at Forte were excellent to deal with and the food quality was very good.

I really don't think there was any part of my stay that wasn't good. I had hoped the Nordic Spa was accessible to families and not just adults, but I do understand that it's a licensed facility. The pool area was very good, and I enjoyed using the gym and steam room, very clean and modern looking.
