The staff were awesome. Picturesque location which staff were proud to promote (e.g suggestions for hikes etc) Good amenities for a stand alone location - little touches like areas to play games, smores every night, tea and coffee at the Cafe or Moose Family Cafe nearby... All well thought out for families, especially the pool. The only low point was the child activities which were more targeted for preschoolers which was a little disappointing. Rooms were clean, spacious and tidy - nothing to complain of! Will re-visit!

The child activities, they just seemed sad and dated. Our 12 and 5 year olds weren't impressed and didn't want to stay around so we didn't use this.

set up well for all types of vacations and groups. the pool/ waterpark is awesome for the kids.

the rooms were pretty dirty. lots of spots that haven’t been wiped or cleaned in a while. the waterpark needs some deep cleaning and general maintenance.

From the moment we stepped out of the vehicle we knew we were in for a treat. The crisp mountain air and the smell of the wood burning stove left us all feeling relaxed almost immediately. The onsite dining was delicious. The kids really enjoyed the s'more evenings and the indoor water park. The bonus was the family friendly games located in the main lobby. A lot of fun was had by everyone. We look forward to coming back to enjoy this resort and its location more!

The main elevators to take us to our room stopped working. It was quite the adventure to our room. But we made it.

Food was excellent quality. Water park including the indoor/outdoor hot tub were a nice surprise. Great walking/skiing paths all around

Nordic Spa was a lovely treat. Just a note that it was packed in the mornings. I actually thought that since I booked a specific time/date, the number of people entering the spa would be limited but that was not the case. I went later in the day ....which limited how long I could stay there as the spa closes at 8 or 9 pm. It was definitely less crowded after 4 pm. I'm glad I went...my favourites included the Eucalyptus steam room and the beautiful mountain views from the pools.

It’s an amazing location. Beautiful views and trails.

The price point is extremely high for a night especially when we are dealing with so much inflation. The Blacktail pub was disappointing as their new menu is nothing like the old one. The old menu is what kept us coming back or just stopping in for lunch on our road trips. Woodys needs to be advertised as they have the best food selection and amazing service.

The location is fantastic with beautiful scenic walking trails nearby. The amenities at the hotel were extensive- I was impressed to see all the board games in the lobby lounge and also the activities for children (we didn't use these but a great option for those travelling with kids). The place overall was clean and staff were very friendly and attentive.

The bathtub/shower in our room was not draining properly so clearly blocked, but upon informing staff they were very keen to resolve the issue asap so kudos to them for that. I also wish there was less noise audible from the corridors early in the morning as it affected my sleep somewhat, but this is typical of most hotels so I won't judge them too harshly for it.

Lovely spacious reception and bar. Room was also spacious, but we had booked an exec room

The pool within the hotel was strictly speaking for children. To use adult facilities atb the Nordic Dpa, which was advertised with the hotel we were told it cost £150 per person.! Not a cost we envisaged. We expected that to be included in our rate, especially as we had taken an extra expensive room.

On last day, did not get room service until late in the afternoon when we approach stuff in the hall and asked for it. Once the room got assigned, it was cleaned, but having been out all day we were looking forward to coming home to a fresh room. Young woman, who did the room was extremely pleasant, and did her best to apologize for the late service.

We had a fantastic time celebrating our daughter's birthday & our anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special from a room upgrade to special drinks & dessert at Forte. The Waterpark was the icing on the cake! Even with an extreme cold warning we had so much fun at the lodge. We will definitely be back to this beautiful Alberta Gem!

The location is incredible and the New Years celebrations were well executed (the kids loved the fireworks and craft stations). The staff are always phenomenal and friendly. The restaurant service is super family friendly and the kids eat free option is always appreciated for small appetites. The outdoor activities like the skating pond and s’more station add to the ambiance and a major reason we continue to celebrate at the resort. And of course the kids water park and Nordic Spa.

The room was quite cold and the heater ran loudly all night. I realize that it was -35 C overnight and this is just part of being Canadian, but the floor was uncomfortable to walk on in sock feet as it was so cold. Also, we were unable to get hotel service on the phone for requests such as towels or coffee refills and room service for most of the stay as it was so busy. Side Note- Another 2 hooks to hang robes/jackets would be very helpful in the rooms for families.
