The central location and the accessible parking. the staff were all helpful and friendly.

I would rate this hotel highly, but our room at the rear of the hotel overlooked a number of residential properties and not far from our bedroom window, there was a continual loud hum, probably of an air conditioning unit. I would ask for a room at the front of the hotel on another occasion.

I booked the standard room as would be sleeping only as out and about all day sightseeing. It was on the small side, it would be very cosy for two people. The view was low level rooftops, as I requested a low floor due to vertigo issues, so not a problem it was on the back so lovely and quiet. Glad I was not on the front would be noisy on the weekends. The hotel had an ice machine on the third floor which was great. Breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was good value and choice. The reception staff were very helpful. Got me a kettle instead of using their fancy coffee machine. They were also helpful in pointing out where not to go in town in an evening.

Moda was a pleasant surprise. The hotel itself is in a great location, and the lobby is clean, bright, and functional, albeit small. The room was compact, but I expected as much from the booking - It certainly was perfect for what I needed. The restaurants and bars on site were nice, and even though the parking is off-site, it was very accessible. Overall, I am extremely pleased with Moda.

The only issue I really had was the off site parking, but in all honesty, it's a minor inconvenience. Parking is inexpensive for Vancouver, secured, and very close by the hotel. Park on the street for check-in, and the hotel will give you directions for getting to their parking.

The room was spacious and had a great soaker tub. Room service was willing to accomadate any request.

Our first room was musty and the fridge leaked. I found socks under the couch from a previous guest. The room had 2 seperate units for fan and ac which were portable and took up space in the room. When I asked to move we were moved to a better room. The parking is out of location and was a challenge to get to and from. When we arrived we could not unload in front or behind the hotel. The elevator was urinated in and stayed uncleaned for 3 days of our stay. Because of this my partner had to wait street side because of exposure to the smell.

Location was great, parking was great to have on the next block, bed was SUPER comfortable, room was spacious and had everything we needed including extra pillows and blankets, blackout curtains were great, and I am a sucker for a red and black color scheme! Everything was very clean, and the room came with a Keurig setup for morning coffee and USB charging ports. The staff were very nice which seems like a rarity these post-Covid days.

The walls are so thin it sounded like the guy on the phone in the next room was in our room with us. Definitely bring earplugs and/or a white noise device! With those, we were able to sleep in late in that comfortable bed.

The front desk employees were extremely helpful w/directions, recommendations and how to use public transportation. They went out of their way to assist us. Also appreciated that the hotel was willing to store our luggage after we checked out.

TV was too small and antiquated. Wasn’t set up for streaming. Neighborhood was noisy at night. Didn’t appreciate that no breakfast was offered. Ice machine was in an inconvenient place and in the same room as the business center.

The hotel was close to bus stops for the hop on/hop off bus and train station. The room was comfortable and generally clean. Staff at reception were exceptional, happy to give me directions when needed and happy to hold my luggage at both ends of my stay to accommodate my travel arrangements.

There were some hairs in the bath and on the shower curtain, which was a bit gross but that was the only thing I didn't like about my stay.

The room was basic but had everything you need for a good stay! Comfy beds, lots of room in the bathroom and soft fluffy towels. The parking garage across the street is very secure (you go to the top floor and the garage can only be accessed using a hotel key card) but the staff warned us a still to make sure there’s nothing in the car because of the general theft issue in Vancouver. The location is GREAT! You can walk to almost anywhere in downtown, the area is busy and safe and yet our room was super quiet (we had a room not facing the road which means no view but we didn’t mind that!)

We had a bit of a hot water problem on the day of our departure but the hotel team fixed this faster than expected!

location: we attended a show at the Orpheum, so location was fantastic. room was a bit small for two but we made it work...bed was amazing, we were surprised how well we slept and felt physically.

i didn't like the cost of the room. i have never paid this much for a hotel room in my life. i understand that you pay what the market price is and other hotels were no better, so we booked because of the location primarily.

Staff were friendly & helpful. Room was small but comfortable. Good location as we were going to the QE Theatre for a musical.

Stopped into the UVA Cafe for a coffee & scone before heading home. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, the cafe itself looked worn and somewhat shabby. Coffee & lattes were good but the scone was obviously not fresh. Didn’t finish them & unfortunately would not go back.
