Location was key, and the hotel is very pretty. Two pools are beautiful and we never had trouble finding a lounge chair (we visited in August). Our room was huge although I must admit the space downstairs felt a bit waisted. The bathrooms could use a bit of a refresh (some cracking at the edges), but it was great to have two bathrooms! Bed linens and bed was great. My only qualm was the AC unit had a bright blue light that shown very strong in the dark, so if you have trouble sleeping, bring an eye mask!

Ananda hotel is a beautiful hotel located right in the heart of Cartagena! From there you can literally walk anywhere without problems or order a taxi if you wish. My husband and I stayed there 3 nights and except for our first night where the AC shut off (possibly due to the weather), we had very comfortable nights there. They were quick to listen to our request for room change and not to mention the staff was amazing! Very hospitable and friendly! Also, the massages here were so good! The breakfast was also great, better than the other hotels we stayed at. Would love to come back here if we go back to visit Cartagena!

We loved our stay at Ananda – such a beautiful hotel! The location was perfect – walkable to everything but also down a quiet street, far enough from all the noise and hustle. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the rooftop pool – amazing views and we always had the space to ourselves. The staff was incredibly friendly (shout out to Lillibeth in the restaurant) and took great care of us. We would definitely stay here again!

The location is fantastic! And the property is lovely. A very friendly and helpful staff. Jairo is phenomenal! He made our holiday even better. The pool and roofdeck were ideal for what we were looking for. The breakfast and coffee were a perfect addition.

We had the worst toilet I've ever had in a hotel. Would not flush properly. We asked to have it fixed and nothing was really done other than to tell us to just hold it down longer. Super frustrating. My travel companion requested that the sheets get changed on her bed because they were sort of worn and pilled, very scratchy. While they said they would, they did not. And the bathroom set up is bizarre. We could hear others showering in the tiered, open wall set up. Very unnerving at times! That would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Beautiful building for a hotel and nice use of the colonial architecture. Staff were very friendly and attentive. One of us got sick and the staff were very kind and checked in regular and everything. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable.

The communal areas are well attended to and look the part. The room itself (on the ground floor) could use a bit of work in upkeep. For instance: Paint is coming off the walls here and there and the bathroom deserves some attention too with towel hooks loose. Overall we had a lovely stay. It is perhaps not on the same level as other hotels in this price range in the area. Thus it feels a bit overpriced, but nonetheless pleasant.

the location is perfect, its a huge colonial house with all of the city vibe and nice rooftop to relax. The staff was super attentive and professional.

The price is too high when related to the cleanning of the common areas. The rooftop was missing the sun umbrellas and the service would take a lot of time. There is a few options for eating there, and the breakfast is very simple.

Great and lovely hotel. The first thing is the staff: Amazing. We felt very welcomed since minute one. The hotel itself is beautiful, rooms are very clean and spacious enough. The pool is delicious and the spa is very nice. Breakfast is also great. Nothing to complain on those matters.

Unfortunately if you are looking for a very quiet place to be, this is not the case. The hotel itself is very respectful and they don't allow music late at night and the bar closes at around 10 pm. But there are other hotels nearby that accommodate weddings and allow very loud parties. So if you go to Cartagena to party and stay up late, is the perfect place (You go to bed at midnight and sleep til late morning). However, we were in Cartagena for a triathlon competition, which implies going to bed at 9 pm and waking up at 4 am. The night before the competition was impossible to sleep due to two VERY LOUD parties (weddings) in other buildings near the hotel. This is something out of the hands of the hotel, but has to be mentioned.

We loved the location, beautiful pool, comfortable bed and attentive service.

There were just two minor things in the room that we didn’t love. The overhead shower didn’t get very hot so we used the handheld and one of the bathroom lights was flickering constantly which was a little annoying. You can hear the outside noises very well but we didn’t have issues sleeping.

The property was exceptional - everything from the history of the location, cleanliness, rooms, food, spa quality, etc. The hospitality experienced by the staff was of the highest quality. The staff really made our stay above and beyond. 10/10 would recommend.

-the whole staff and crew which are very polite and welcoming (nuris,jorge,kevin, rene and the bfast morning crew @ vedana restaurant) -cleanliness of the entire property -the picturesque pools (main pool and rooftop pool) -good smell of the room and the whole property -free bike -bathroom toiletries -comfortable bed -well maintained property -safety -free bfast

just a minor comment since i’m a solo traveler and a netflix addict, tv would be nice if it’s a smart tv already.
