We really enjoyed our stay - three breakfasts were delicious, the staff was kind and super attentive and the spot was perfectly cozy. The AC heat was a life saver in the Cartagena heat and the location makes it easily walkable to many places.

We didn’t dislike anything but we do recommend that guests be aware that Getsemani is a cultural district with lots of vibrancy at night! Earplugs were helpful for us to reduce street noise. The hotel is not flashy but it will have everything you need for a great stay!

good location, perfect to walk inside the walled city as well as to the Castillo. very friendly and helpful staff. solid breakfast.

During the middle of our last night there was a tourist from Vienna, Austria, arriving (seemed spontaneously). He did encounter the owner of the hotel and was screaming around really loud and totally inappropriate inside the echoing patio how nice the place was in a mix of Austrian-German, English and 1-2 Spanish phrases (wow! beautiful! Meine Fresse! Mi casa es su casa!). His loud speak went on for hours. One could understand every word because of him being so loud and disrespectful to all guests who were trying to sleep. The owner should have stopped him.

The staff was so warm and welcoming. I felt like I was in a home. Any time we needed something, they were there to help. The man who runs it is so sweet, we referred to him as abuelito because he was so warm and caring. If you're looking for a home in Cartagena, this is your place.

It was loud due to being so close to the party district.

The building itself is near the heart of Getsemani neighborhood within the walled old town. it is no more than a two-minute walk to the 17th century church at the Plaza de La Trinidad (a lovely thoroughfare that has some locals along with tourists). Kitty corner from that church is the diamond-in-the-rough tapas / gourmet / beer garden Demente, also not to be missed. from check-in to check-out, the staff was courteous and extremely accommodating. Shout out to Mallory, and Mr. Leonardo, in particular. The beds were comfortable and both the courtyard and lobby were had great ambience and cache.

Granted that we did not book the top-of-the-line room, it felt a little austere. There were no tables or nightstands, and the outlets were directly between the bed and the wall. The bathroom was clean, if unspectacular. However, in spite of these criticisms, it’s worth noting that was a rack and plastic hangars, a cushion / ottoman. The bed could easily be moved for access to the outlets. the air conditioning was great, and a nice respite for out-of-towners adjusting to the heat and humidity.

Great location just on the edge of Getsemani. Lovely friendly staff who were very patient with our poor Spanish. Fantastic breakfast which varied slightly every day. Comfortable room with big bed. Great views from the terrace.

Noisy at night, especially at the weekend, but that's to be expected. It was fine during the week. Earplugs helped. I imagine other places have it much worse.

The hotel is well situated for Old Town, the Fort and the Central Park (where there are sloths!) and the district of Getsemani which is a vibrant neighbourhood, The hotel is quite small but is welcoming and has both character and a rooftop terrace with good views. The rooms are not large but they are clean and beds are very comfortable. Everybody was helpful and friendly (a special mention to Luz and Leo). We were able to arrange our trip to the Rosario Islands, which we thoroughly enjoyed, through Leo, who also supplied the liquid refreshment! The typical breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, We would be very happy to stay here again should the opportunity arise.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Very old building makes it very special and unique. The stuff is so friendly, thank you very much to feel so welcome. The location is perfect! Silent and at the same time just 1 Minute far from the heart of getsemoney. The view at the top of the building is great! 😊

The old building smells a bit, but it did not bother us.

The staff was amazing! Super friendly, helpful and professional. They're always smiley and ready to help! It was a great time in the hotel, facilities were good, the jacuzzi at the rooftop was great and the breakfast every morning was really good. Definitely recommend this hotel, it's a great value for it's price.

My room was facing the street so it was a bit noisy sometimes due to the cars passing by.

The location was awesome, Getsemani is the best area in Cartagena in my opinio . Its has beautiful streets full of character and colour. Lots of places to eat lots of little bars .very artistic neighbour with beautiful street art. Patio Getsemani was just on the outskirt so it was quiet which was so great. The staff were so helpful, not much English bjt it didnt stop us. The breakfast were lovely too.

Nothing it was great

This is a great no-nonsense hotel on the edge of Getsemani. The staff are all legends who embody Colombian friendliness. One of the things I read before visiting Colombia was to "try every fruit you are offered" and breakfast in Patio de Getsemani never disappointed. Every day there was something new to try.

I feel like writing an open letter to Cartagena and pleading with the locals to... 1. Stop driving like they are in an F1 car race 2. Stop beeping their horns But they wouldn't hear me!
