The room was very spacious, clean, beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. It was very hot in the room, it was even necessary to turn off the radiators in order to rest. Large and spacious bathroom, varied breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel and very close to the entrance to the fortress, it is located practically next to the gate of the fortress. The center of the fortress can be reached in a maximum of 10 minutes. Free parking.

I booked the hotel for the Christmas period and additionally requested reserved menus for the festive meals during this period. We were surprised to find that practically the same food was served in the evening of December 24 and the lunch of December 25. Practically, this determined us to give up the meal from the evening of December 25. The food could be more diversified.

The location was excellent (right outside the gate of the old town) and the rooms were extremely spacious, so we weren’t tripping over our 3 suitcases all the time. The hotel was beautiful, the staff extremely helpful and pleasant, the beds comfortable and it was wonderful to have free parking behind the hotel. The breakfast was great too!

We didn’t have air conditioning in the bedroom and it was very warm and stuffy, even with the windows open. Also, we had to sleep with the windows open to cool the room, but there was a beer garden right below our window so it was quite noisy until late. Despite this, we all slept well

The location was very good being less than a ten minute walk from the train station and then only another couple minutes into the old walled city. Our room and bathroom were clean and elegant, and the breakfast was delicious with lots of variety.

The main problem we had was noise from a room upstairs. It sounded like an event room and played very loud music until 1am for a night of our stay. The other nights we heard furniture being pushed around from about 8-10 pm. I phoned reception on the music night and was told a party had just started and they wouldn't be quiet for a while. When I explained that we could hear it in our room I was told there was nothing she could do. The bathrooms provided an all-in-one soap/shampoo, but it would have been nice to have conditioner and particularly lotion provided.

Clean, comfortable stay very close to the center of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Unfortunately we needed to continue our drive the next day but the location is great if you want to discover RodT and the hotel has a large and comfortable parking, which is a big plus over the hotels within the city walls. The hotel's restaurant staff was very kind to show some flexibility and accommodate for that we arrived after the kitchen had officially closed (we called around 20.00 letting the hotel know). Like other guests have mentioned, the breakfast is very good.

Our rooms were a bit cold. This is perhaps a reflection of the current German energy crisis more than the hotel itself.

It was located very close to the city walls so we could just walk and shop. Breakfast was good and room was very large. A/C worked so-so but able to sleep decently. Staff were friendly. It was nice we could leave our luggage in the hold room after we checked out so we could spend more time in the town. It was cool that the window opened to a door and there was a little patio with table and chairs you could eat at. The bier garten had some excellent food. It appears to be a very well known place as we saw a lot of traffic come thru.

Wish we stayed more than one night! Nothing really comes to mind about things we didn't like.

Location just outside walls, free parking!!!! Room was a nice size and nice to have a balcony, breakfast was really good, staff were very friendly

The shower was a bit annoying as broken so kept sliding down. Room a tad dated but perfectly fine

The hotel is very close to the medieval fortress. The breakfast is varied and tasty.

We’ve booked a double room and because it was only 109 euro per night (like this is a cheap deal) we’ve got a very small one. The bathroom was also small, very uncomfortable to use, not to mention old. If you have some extra kilos, you won’t fit in. I almost fell when taking a shower because I had no space to move and because of the low ceiling.

Wonderful welcome when we arrived.The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and large and the bed very comfortable. During the 5 days we stayed it was very quiet. The breakast was delicious and a large choice to choose from. The meals we had in the restaurent were well cooked and delicious. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for any of the staff, all of whom seemed to go that extra mile if necessary.

There was nothing not to love.

Staff are friendly, they assist us with the parking and check in is a smooth process. Wide variety of breakfast selection. Location is within walking distance to the town.

Parking onsite is very tight as it was full house - irresponsible parking was observed as the car took up more than 1 parking lot. Recommended to reach early for a parking lot if you are driving.

Fantastic location just outside the old town walls. Clean and spacious family room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Great parking without any height restrictions and the breakfast was great!

Only thing I can fault it on is no air con in the room, BUT I don’t think the 35 degree temperature we experienced is that usual here!
