The location is perfect. The service desk agents are awesome and helped me find the postoffice.

I booked a room on high floor asking for city view. Sadly on arrival I was told I can only get a city view if I paid 25E more. I was a bit disappointed.

Great central location, fantastic breakfast

The view from our room looked out over train tracks and it was quite noisy in the early mornings. There is double glazing but you can still hear the trains, I recommend taking ear plugs. Our son's room had no view, it looked out into a small central space with hardly any light. If you would like the nice view from the front of the hotel you will need to pay for it or be very lucky. I asked if we could have a room with a nice view as we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary while we were there but weren't given one. It was busy so I understand but it was a shame.

My first Doubletree experience. The hotel makes a great impact when you walk in, with a large and airy lobby. Check in was quick and easy. A nice touch was a warmed welcome cookie! The service was exceptional. E.g. one day we were napping when room cleaning was going on, so housekeeping didn’t clean our room. In the evening the duty manager called the room to check whether we needed anything! The breakfast was a bit expensive but a huge choice of decent quality food including vegan options. Staff were happy to take orders for items not on the breakfast buffet, like Dutch pancakes. Staff were really helpful and friendly, even when very busy. We had the most amazing view over the Ij and the back of Centraal Station, so we could see trains, buses, trams, ferries and boats passing all the time - and loads of bikes! It probably isn’t 100% a view everyone would love but for us it was great. Compared to the UK there are so few cars on the road and this is because of how well the Dutch do other modes of transport. Our view was a great illustration of that. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. Everything was walkable as we were close to so much already and really near to Centraal where we could take the Metro, trams, trains and buses anywhere we wanted. Really handy for the Eurostar (five minutes’ walk), which was great for us!

I don’t recommend the room service pizza.

the view of balcony suite was fantastic! be sure to book the suite otherwise it would be a shame. the restaurant was nice.

when compared to Japanese style of greeting, you shouldn't expect too much from Europeans. For example, luggages are always brought to the room if you have a early check-in while the room is not ready yet, but you will find the luggages in the room after 3pm regular check-in time. In Europe, you need to give the ticket to the staff (and they are always busy) and take the luggages yourself. You might think this is a small thing, but this is the cruel truth that Europeans can never beat Japanese in terms of 'hospitality' despite Europe wins in terms of medieval towns and attractions...

The room was wonderful. The surprise for my girlfriend was exceptional with exactly how I requested with the managers.. The location is one of the best spots in amsterdam. You can watch the boats passing in the canals.. It’s close to central station. The view was also perfect. This hotel is one of the best from a lot of hotels that I have stayed in. They fulfill your breakfast needs with everything from the buffet. Lastly, the staff is very welcoming and professional. I will definitely stay here more often.

I wish the sky lounge was open but I saw that it is renovating. I wanted to bring my girlfriend there for the first time.

Location; close to old town, restaurants, activities, transportation, shopping. Quick check-in. Modern facilities, clean and comfortable. Room was large, with lots of space for luggage, and had a great view. Breakfast buffet was excellent!

Appreciated the early check-in, but We didn’t receive the complimentary cookie promised at these hotels. The shower head in the room was not positioned correctly and was extremely difficult to adjust. The clothes hanging area was a bit too small and awkward. We had difficulty getting food service at the lobby bar/lounge, so left and went elsewhere.

Staff attending to breakfast tables were a bit slow, perhaps to assign more than 1 person to a section during busy times

Excellent check in and check out service provided by your staff who were very friendly and helpful whilst remaining professional. We were upgraded to a Kingsize room which was functional and clean although I was unimpressed when the bedding and pillows were thrown onto the floor when 2 male members of staff changed the kingsize bed to 2 singles. Excellent location, near to the station and sightseeing tour operators. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so am unable to comment. The bar had a lovely atmosphere in the evening.

There was a problem in the bar area with insufficient staff resulting in them being unable to attend to customers properly. We ate there Sunday 23rd April around 18:30HR, one member of staff was unhelpful and curt in his manner, the delay for service to order food was less than acceptable and when our food came the chicken was not fully cooked - our waiter reduced the bill to reflect this.

Everything guys I've been Amsterdam many times 23 to be exact this was the best trip ever although its not fineshed yet going over to Maastricht, I would just like to say food best if you haven't tried the lava cake already try it OMG and the whipe cream that's comes with its ice cream but not it was incredibly good. This morning check out I order breakfast im from London and can I just say you have done us well full English breakfast it could feed 4 people it was amazing I can't thank you enough 😊.

breakfast was great with wide range of variety and take fares if the diet needs of vegan. The warmth smile from a trainee on the front desk upon check in and the offer of warm cookies was excellent! the concierge services were also great and attending to every details. The waiters at the breakfast restaurant were very patient and attentive despite there were almost full house during the peak.

So far nothing in particular. One little improvement is that the check out procedures could be expedite. Luckily we were told there is a express checkout that saved out waiting time
