This is a very special sizeable apartment ,tastefully decorated and in a beautiful neighbourhood , so close to transport links and within easy walk to amenities and the old town centre. The bed is so comfortable and the facilities in the apartment are brilliant. Would highly recommend-it is a quality, special stay .
Only a suggestion that perhaps a Bluetooth speaker could be a nice addition that guests can hook up to .

The apartment is huge!! It is even bigger than it looks in the photo's. The accommodation is in a basement & is really cool -something totally different to the normal apartment & hotel offerings in Amsterdam city centre. Location is fantastic, on a lovely quiet street yet only a few minutes from Central station, red light district etc. Hosts were really communcative prior to arrival which was much appreciated. Met at the door by the lovely Stijn who was super friendly and nice. The price for such a wonderful apartment is really impressive, having stayed in Amsterdam over 10 times I would 100% reccommend this place, value for money, location, hosts and all other aspects 10/10

Very spacious apartment with a table tennis table. Even if we were outside most of the day it was nice to play some table tennis whilst chatting when you come home. It was really fun to stay at this place. Hosts are very kind and helpful. The apartment is perfectly located, as it is very close to the train station but the surrounding area is not touristy, so you can peacefully enjoy your cup of coffee in front of the house. + I really liked their soap :-)
Stone floor (kitchen and toilet) was cold sometimes which is fine as it can easily be fixed by laying out some washable rugs. If I'd stay at this apartment again (btw... I would!), I'd bring some slippers. - we had some tiny ant problem. As you are living in their basement ants get easily attracted by an empty glass of orange juice. So they might let their guests know to NOT leave anything sweet outside the fridge. But that is not the owners fault - nature happens :-D

Absolutely huge! Lots of thoughtful touches like red wine, chocolates, coffee pods and lovely toiletries. Fairylights, candles and books added to the ‘cave’ atmosphere. Gym, boxing and table tennis set ups and gear. Right outside the door was canal and boats, then across the bridge to old town area - so close! Great suggestions from the on site owner for eating and drinking, walking and sights. Thanks for a great stay, Roel!
A bit of falling dust from roof beams but hey, they’ve been there since the 17th century 😊 We just moved ourselves out of the way.

Excellent location and very spacious canal apartment that is quite unique and made staying in Amsterdam a special experience. The owner is fantastic and very responsive.
For longer term stays the kitchen needs to be reviewed so that it's more practical and functional and we mentioned this to the owner and he was happy to look into it. Might also be helpful to have a TV because some background noise would have been great as you can hear people walking and moving furniture upstairs.

The place is HUGE! Even bigger than it looks in the pictures! The location is perfect as well. Right around the corner from all the action of Amsterdam, while maintaining a safe/cozy feel. The hosts are fantastic, allowing me to keep my bag in their home until the room was ready...and even left me a little bottle of wine and a local chocolate bar!
As the host told me, the home was constructed in the 17th century...that being said, it is not soundproof...you can hear activity on the floor above you.

Apartment was huge and in a great location. Nice quiet residential area with a great local bar across the bridge and less than 10 minutes from the main railway station and the main squares and red light area. Basement location meant it was cool even though it was 30+ outside.
A couple of loose tiles on the floor and no city view as described but these are very minor points.

The space was a very pleasant surprise! Looks even bigger than photos. Loved the cave ceiling shape in the kitchen area. Enjoyed a game of darts and a game of table tennis. Extremely convenient to Amsterdam Central railway station (especially if on the euro star). Host was very easy and prompt to communicate with. We will definitely recommend to our friends and family.
Can’t think of anything.

This is a very special place. It is an underground loft as you find it usually in London. If you like natural light through windows, don't get there. Otherwise it is a huge space with progressive living from cosy meeting corner to kitchen and bedroom. Kitchen allows to cook on your own while the location at the border of the red lights district gives you access to many restaurants and public transportation. As always in Amsterdam, I felt cold but the bedding is blanketed enough to warm you up. The owner was very careful on a safe check in procedure with his family. It went very smooth and easy. Overall a very nice and original experience for Amsterdam Centrum.
I felt a little cold in winter time but this is everywhere across Amsterdam.
