A beautiful hotel. Stylish, clean, a superb comfy bed and you could just about throw a party in the generously proportioned shower space! Loved the central location and the views.

Just prior to checking out, I discovered that all of my money had been stolen out of my bag. I am very security conscious, and the amount stolen was significant, so it was quite a shock. I don't know if it happened in the hotel, but what was a bit hard to take is that when I mentioned what had happened to the staff at the front desk when I checked out, they really didn't seem to care. It was pretty much a blank stare, present me with my hotel bill, and then send me on my way. That was distressing and significantly impacted what was otherwise a lovely stay.

The Grand Joanne location is just right, very close to the train station. The hotel is well renovated, the staff friendly and attentive. The room and beds are super comfortable and lastly the roof top bar was great for a late night drink and watch the sunset well after 10pm.

The lack of air conditioning in most hotels needs to be address, the Grand Joanne does have room fan ventilations.

Trendy new hotel in a convenient location for a short city break in Copenhagen. The location is great if you arrive by train from the airport. Hotel is 2 minutes away from the train station and also many buses stop in front of the hotel. Very convenient. Also very close to Tivoli and many other main sights. All walkable. Very trendy hotel, brand new rooms with everything you need (including an excellent hairdryer, a kettle and even a steamer). There is a roof top terrace, but due to bad weather it was not open during our stay. Main bar is nice, too though. We had two rooms. While our room had a very good size, the cozy room of our child was really very small, but worked out well for us. I guess it gets really cozy if you are staying with two people in that room... The hotel managed to get us two rooms close to each other, which was good. Unfortunately they were only on first floor, and also right out towards the front street. We did not open the windows as quite loud. Room temperature was good, but the weather outside was not really warm either. Bathrooms rather minimalistic in industrial style, rain shower was excellent, room very clean. Wardrobe very small though for two people. We walked around the area and found a few really good restaurants only a few minutes away (our favorites were Bloom, Madklubben Vesterbro and Pio Vin & Bar)

Nothing, if you get over the fact, that everything in Copenhagen is extremely expensive, including hotels and food of course. We decided against breakfast in the hotel as it was not included and rather expensive.

Very small room but they seemed to think about all the details, comfortable bed and bedding, pillows. Dyson hair dryer, nice bathroom products, umbrellas available to borrow.

I know it’s Copenhagen in general but it seemed ridiculously expensive for what we got. It was a nice couple nights but we paid three times as much as any other accommodation on our five week holiday and it wasn’t the nicest by far. Also it’s summer and was so hot and the air conditioning is not currently working. They are aware of this and it’s the whole hotel as we initially thought our heater/aircon in the room was broken.

Brand new hotel with superb design. It had the coolest gym I’ve seen with scandinavian decor and a tech equipment that creates a routine for you. Central location (close to central station and Tivoli!). Good amenities at the room such as steamer and hair dryer. Really appreciate the mirror with different lighting (helpful for makeup and videoconferences).

As a new hotel you could notice small details are still shaping - bathroom missed hanger for shampoo and sink had a small water leakage. We would also appreciate having a mini fridge and a hotel safe. Note: all the rooms have carpet (as an allergic person I would love having the option to choose a room without it). Staff at the reception was polite but the service has room for some improvement - we are a couple and got one towel only. Ordered twice at the reception and never received it.

I would like to share my enthusiastic impression of my stay at your hotel. My stay was just wonderful and I have not had a single complaint. Your hotel provides the perfect combination of comfort, convenience and hospitality. First and foremost, I would like to mention the well appointed rooms. I really liked their furnishings, style and functionality. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I got a great night's sleep every night. It was nice to find that not only did the room have a hair dryer, but also a clothes steamer and disposable toothbrushes and paste. These are additional conveniences that I really appreciated. Equally important in making my stay so enjoyable was your excellent staff. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, friendly, and willing to help. They were attentive to my needs and did their best to accommodate my requests. I sincerely thank the entire staff for their contribution in creating a pleasant atmosphere and high level of service. I would also like to mention the convenient location of your hotel. This allowed me to quickly and conveniently get to the major attractions and business areas of the city. This was especially convenient for me since I was on a business trip and needed quick access to various places. In conclusion, I can't find any faults with your hotel. Everything from the equipped rooms and comfortable beds, to the responsive staff and convenient location exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend your hotel to all travelers and will definitely return here on my next trip. Thank you so much for the impeccable hospitality!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful with a lot of attention to detail and friendly, helpful staff. The room was beautifully decorated with great amenities such as a hand held steamer, hairdryer with diffuser and toiletries, plus a very comfy bed. The food was delicious and the roof top bar was so relaxing to spend time in. A fantastic location, minutes from the train station and Tivoli Gardens as well as in the centre of all the sights we wanted to visit.

There could have been more storage space in the room as a lot of my things I had to keep in my suitcase including toiletries. The view was poor as it was inside the hotel courtyard overlooking the pagoda roof - maybe this is an opportunity for a green/floral roof?

We were so happy to walk into such a lovely space and room after 31 hours in transit. We booked a king deluxe room and although it was slightly smaller than I was expecting it was spacious. We had dinner in the restaurant Joanne’s the first evening and the food and service was great. The staff are so lovely and generous. We scored a complimentary limoncellos to help us sleep which was so kind. Prices are expensive in Copenhagen but when we compared our three course dinner and drinks at Joanne’s to the price of the burgers and chips we had it was very reasonable. With dinner finished we headed to the very comfy bed. The ensuite bathroom was very large and had all the little extras needed. The bathroom products are so luxurious and smell amazing. The steamer was a nice touch and great to remove all the wrinkles from our well travelled clothes. We can’t speak highly enough of all the staff. They were so welcoming and helpful and made our stay so relaxing and welcoming. The free fruit and bottled water available was very welcomed. We didn’t use the gym but the area has toilets and shower facilities. The hotel is beautifully appointed and perfectly located. It is really close to the railway station and to the city centre. Everywhere is within walking distance and I can’t imagine a better place to stay. Thank you to all the staff and to management at Grand Hotel Joanne.

First visit to Copenhagen and book here after finding it online. Beautiful hotel - very trendy and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We were in on an extremely early flight and when checking in expected to leave our bags until later and go out. The hotel staff very kindly got us into our room very early which was really appreciated. The rooms are compact but so lovely. The rooftop bar is a must on a beautiful sunny day. We didn’t eat in the hotel, but I’m sure the food is as good as the amenities! Location is superb - 5mins walk from Central Station and close to the liveliness of the City. Highly recommend this hotel.

Not one thing

Very clean, comfy beds, pretty furniture and gorgeous rooftop.

Liked almost everything. Two very minor things. We stayed in two different rooms. A standard for two nights and it was very tight. You could almost not pass the end of the bed to get to other side of the room. We then went out of town for a wedding and returned two days later for a booking of 1 night. We were offered an upgrade on our room, but for 300 DKK, which we accepted. We have often been offered an upgrade when travelling but have never had to pay extra for it. I understand why we needed to pay but a free upgrade, since the room was available, would have made the stay extra fantastic.
