Our stay at Hotel Bella Grande in Copenhagen was truly memorable, complementing our birthday celebration perfectly. Location: - The hotel has a spotless location, located between the Central Station, Nyhavn, Strøget, and Tivoli Gardens in one of the best neighborhoods, offered easy access to key attractions, making every major sight reachable by foot. Staff: - Our check-in experience with Torsten was exceptional, as his humor and easygoing nature made us completely forget it was past midnight. We thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with him, as his great sense of humor added to the experience. - We must commend Simona at the front desk for her exceptional care; she made us feel truly special, treating us like VIPs. Simona went above and beyond, securing the most amazing birthday dinner table at the Donna restaurant, a must-visit during your stay. She effortlessly handled multiple other requests, making our trip to HBG a solid 10/10 experience, and a definite reason for us to return. We could not thank her enough! Stay: - The hotel rooms were outstanding, featuring a perfect blend of modern and vintage Danish design, with a contemporary touch. Room 423 offered a stunning view of the atrium, perfect for photos. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the duvets high-quality, and the cleanliness top-notch. The bathroom amenities, including nature-derived wash, creams, and soap, were excellent. Commendations on the impeccable design. In conclusion, the hotel has outshone our initial expectations, leaving us with a lingering desire to return at the earliest convenience.

1. Lack of a fridge in the room, which would have been useful for keeping water cold during summertime. 2. Absence of AC in the rooms (common in Copenhagen hotels), though typically unnecessary except for late June to late August. To be fair, I've read that the hotel reportedly provides a fan upon request, a helpful option should you need one during summer. 3. While the view was the true winner, beware of significant noise from the Donna restaurant if your room overlooks the atrium. This may disturb light sleepers as it lasts until around 12-1 am; consider requesting a street-facing room if noise is a concern for you.

Quite expensive for a cramped room, but I suppose it is the same in all of Copenhagen. Music was playing until 10 pm, which could be a concern if you want to go to bed early.

The hotel was in such a fantastic location right next to the metro, providing easy access to all areas of the city. It’s a few minutes walk from tivoli gardens and other main attractions and shopping too. Overall fantastic location for anyone looking to explore what Copenhagen has to offer. Hotel was nice and clean, big bed and beautiful internal atrium where you can enjoy food and drinks. The hotel gym was well equipped and there is also a decent luggage storage space which was useful for us as our flight was later on in the evening.

Our room overlooked the atrium which although beautiful, was quite noisy as the chatter of guests and music playing travelled up. There was no A/C option which meant the room was quite hot

Location is very central. The hotel is nice, well decorated. Friendly staff. Large room (superior double room). Room was very clean, with daily cleaning. They frequently changed changed the bed linens and towels (we stayed 8 nights).

We booked a larger room since we stayed 8 nights, however there was not enough space to store our things. There was a big wardrobe but without enough tablets, mostly hangers but not practical and not enough anyway. The room had two chairs and a tiny low table, no desk. Not enough to put our things. Constant noise on the outside of our room facing an inner courtyard (like a constant running motor), we couldn't let the window open. Closed window it was ok. It was too hot in the room, no AC. There is a "minibar" (some snacks and drinks) but no fridge (drinks are at room temperature).

Close to everything. The metro, shops, parks, restaurants, and so on. The staff was really friendly. Nice and clean room. Would stay at the hotel again.

No air-conditioning in the room, so it became hot during the night. Window was facing the restaurant inside the hotel, so if we opened it, it came hot air in and noise from the restaurant. There is no water boiler in the room. Would like to have the opportunity to make coffee or tea. There's not a mini fridge in the room. It's not possible to keep food/drinks cold during the stay.

Super cute spot! Decor is darling and the staff was helpful and very friendly. Lively restaurant/bar scene. Nice little workout room. Easy walk to many great restaurants, bakeries, shopping, and sights. We only took a car a couple of times but able to walk almost everywhere. Would definitely recommend!

We really had to do some fancy footwork to get the key to open our room door which was annoying, but we got used to it. Loved the courtyard restaurant and bar area but there is loud music late into the night (11:30 ish) and many of the rooms face the courtyard so this would not be the place to stay if you had young children wo needed quiet to go to sleep. Didn't bother us but something to note if you have littles.

The staff were lovely. The restaurant is really good. The beds are above average for hotels in this price range. When you consider that this is a gorgeous property in the centre of a European capital the price makes a lot of sense.

Booking via booking.com would've charged me more for breakfast than the hotel charges. I'd book direct in future. But I wouldn't book breakfast anyway. There's a bakery around the corner than opens at 7am and serves the BEST pastries. The hotel is old, although under new management, and as such has no air-conditioning, has old fashioned bathrooms with small sinks etc. It's charming. Could really use a place to unpack small items (i.e. some drawers or shelves in the wardrobe). All I had was 8 hangers on a rail.

Great location, lovely staff (particularly the guy on reception, sorry didn’t get his name, loves Midsomer Murders!), spacious and quiet room (317) which had a separate dressing room section (but quite small bathroom, too small really for a wet room). Had one meal in the restaurant which was very tasty. Didn’t have breakfast as preferred to grab a delicious pastry and coffee from one of the numerous nearby cafes. Few minutes walk to central train station made for easy transfers to/from airport.

The only negative is the lack of aircon - didn’t sleep at all well as too warm and although windows did open it was too noisy to leave open.

We travelled to this hotel for our wedding that was booked in the City Hall. This hotel was exceptional for a number of reasons, namely: - Location -- very close to the metro station, the city hall, the waterfront, the amusement park -- you name it! - Staff -- friendly and helpful staff, who helped us in a lot of tiny but important matters -- such as ironing, breakfasts and retrieving forgotten items from the room after check-out :) - Interior -- there is a marvelous restaurant on the first floor, which offers both great food, and pleases the eyes aesthetically with its sculptures :) - The room had an extra space near the mirror -- just perfect for getting the bride ready for the ceremony :) Also, the tap water is drinkable, which is quite convenient. The toiletries were high quality as well.

There isn't much to say here, the only "odd" thing was related to certain customs. Unfortunately, our stay matched the school-leaving-party period. A lot of youngsters were riding in party vans both daily and nightly, and it was quite noisy. So, just a word of warning to people who want to stay in Copenhagen in the end of June :(

Breakfast was really delicious - typical yummy Danish spread. The room and hotel decor overall was lovely, everything felt clean and the staff was incredibly warm, inviting and helpful! GREAT LOCATION. Would definitely come again and pay a bit more for a larger room in similar circumstances.

We had downgraded to a smaller room so we could use budget for breakfast instead, so the room was pretty small - no place for our luggage and the bathroom was tiny, with little space for toiletries - better suited for a solo traveler, rather than 2 people carrying 2 weeks of travel luggage! But we made do, and it was still attractive and clean. In future may pay the upgrade for a bit more room.
