The Square is a good clean hotel. We found the staff to be friendly and it is in a very good location, especially for Tivoli Gardens, although this shut through the winter... The location is at the very end of one of the main shopping streets in Copenhagen and also right next to a Metro station. Breakfast is extremely expensive, but commensurate with most food and drink in Copenhagen!

Maybe a lighter (and cheaper...!) breakfast option would have been good. You do have to ask for them to turn down the room by 22:00 the night before. On the whole a good hotel though with hardly anything to be unhappy about.

Perfect location for sightseeing, shopping,1 min walk from town hall (we where there for a wedding) bus on the corner takes you straight to and from airport. Amazing breakfast - you book your time so not too busy. Very friendly staff, check out is good at 12 oclock then we left our luggage with them on last day and used their toilets to freshen b4 our late flight.

To save the environment you have to book your room to be clean - i advice you to BOOK THIS THROUGH RECEPTION as i sent an e mail for our room to be cleaned but they didnt turn up. So our room was not cleaned the whole time we where there. I complained but housekeeping where finished for the day, so someone from reception brought clean towels and took away the rubbish. We did have to clean our room ourselves - not happy at all. Loved everything else about this hotel though.

For a solo traveller, the single bed room is adequately sized. Having a small table and a chair within a small space is well planned, and still there's enough floor space to spread open your suitcase. The room is well appointed and the bathroom is good sized and modern. In the gadget world, charging/power points are essential, and this small room has at least 4 of these. Location is excellent, right across the city hall and close to central and metro stations. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience store around.

Ceiling lights are only provided near the door and at the bathroom. The bed/table area has none so its quite dark at night to look for things even if there's a tiny bedhead and desk lamps.

Wow, where to start? The location is fantastic, and getting a room with a view on the Copenhagen town square was worth the upgrade. The room itself was tastefully furnished, with a lot of care and attention to details. I loved the hotel breakfast. I also spent a lot of time in the lounge, especially when the weather was nice and the balcony area was open. In short, I enjoyed my experience at The Square so much, I'll be sure to come back!

I'm mostly nitpicking, as I really enjoyed staying at The Square. Yes, having to register for breakfast felt like unnecessary sludge. Yes, even after staying at the hotel for a week, I never figured out how to dispose of dirty glasses (housekeeping didn't take them and the minibar refill crew didn't want them). Yes, the elevators were surprisingly tiny, but it's all minor stuff. Oh and there was only one beer option in the executive lounge. What a catastrophe, eh?

The hotel was very nice! Nicely curated, great design, comfortable and the location was awesome! Very central and easily reachable from the airport. The room was well distributed and well equipped with everything I needed. The bed was comfy, great big bathroom and a lot of space for myself and my luggages. The breakfast was very varied and rich, offering both sweet and savoury options, and the quality of the food was very good!

Unfortunately, my room was facing the main square (Radhuspladsen) and was close to the Scottish pub next door which had high volume music until late (2/3 am at least). This was during the weekend. Although the windows protect a bit from the traffic noise, I could hear all of the music and that resulted in me not being able to sleep until late. Therefore, although the room was nice, it was also pretty noisy at night! I have notified the Reception about this, asked for a room change, but I was told the hotel was fully booked for the weekend, although this wasn’t really the case: after checking online, there were indeed rooms available. My room was number 202, if you manage, try to ask to have a room facing the opposite side of the square. Otherwise, bring a pair of earplugs with you!

The location is fantastic, centrally located right on the Radhuspladsen square in Copenhagen near the City Hall and a short walk to most of the main sties. The hotel itself is very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms have air conditioning that worked well which was essential during the hot weather of mid-June. Comfortable bed with tea and coffee making facilities, spotlessly clean room and adequate hangers and storage space. The breakfast was very nice with a great variation of food on offer, from continental to hot cooked food.

No complaints. It is an expensive stay but that is because Copenhagen is expensive in general and the location saves on transport costs going around the city.

Location is super nice! Cosy rooms with nice beds and comfortable pillows and duvet. The shower and toilet was clean and nice. Good stream on water. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The experiance of the stay was very good and we will deffinatly book again if we visit Copenhagen again.

A small inconvinience with the cleaning service. We ordered cleaning service after 3 nights and we did not get the cleaning we ordered the day after like promised. We had the same sheeds all the 6 days stay wich was a bit dissapointing. Specially after the cleaning on 4th day and still having the same sweatty sheets. But overall it did not bother us too much.

The location of the hotel was perfect, in the same town hall square. The room was very nice, spacious, very clean and well decorated. Breakfast was also good, but at times it was too crowded. The space is not too big.

I didn't like that there was a bathtub instead of a shower in the bathroom. In addition, there was no non-slip bath mat and I was not comfortable when taking a shower.

Location is perfect. Opposite to Metro station and Hotel located in the beautiful Square. Main station and Tivoli Gardens within 5 mins walk. Nyhavn is 15 minutes walk through the lovely shopping promenade . Airport to Hotel is 20 mins ride by either Metro or train to main Central Station. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Loads of bar and restaurant around. Sightseeing Bus stops are 4-5 minutes walk away.

Excellent location for the metro station (when arriving from the airport and for visiting Copenhagen). The Tivoli Gardens are practically next door and although we didn't visit, we went to Tivoli Food Hall, which I highly recommend (you don't need to pay to access the food hall). The room was clean, quiet and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was varied and replenished frequently. The only suggestion I would make is the hotel investing in a conveyor toaster, for convenience and speed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the female staff on reception in the morning and in the breakfast area. We will definitely return and recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Unfortunately the hotel was unable to provide us with twin beds, despite our request when booking, although they tried to change us the next day, but as the hotel was fully booked it wasn't possible.
